Pine- Your garden is lookin' sweet! Much respect to you guerilla growers! My cojones just aren't up to that task at this time.

Ape- It's almost mandatory to run your bloom cycle at night here during the summer months. I'm down to bare minimum 1-600 light right now. I wasn't able to get a monster AC in my bloom room this year like I had planned. It's giving me some time to prepare some new varieties in veg for later on this year.

Rule- Sorry to hear. The SW definitely isn't for everybody, but if you make it through one good summer, it gets pretty tolerable from thereon out. Hydration and attitude are the keys :D

That said, the end of the blast furnace days of summer are near. And yeah, it really wasn't all that hot this summer. The humidity has been more than I've noticed in years past though.

Everybody enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Hey Howdy Folks! Well we made it threw another day I guess. We'l see if anykinda damage happened from everything shuttin down this mornin later. Ya know what Shitake? Im thinkin bout runnin at night like your sayin. Maj. said the same thing too. Im glad to hear bout the commin reliefe from this blast furnace! Thanks for that! --Ya know what elce bout my room design that sukks Joesy? I didnt get the ac I needed. I got a 5200 btu and I really coulda used a 10000. I thought I could get away with a 6000 and I was figurin on gettin me one but I couldnt find one on our bugit. We ended up with the 5200 btu. Shitt. The rooms too big for the 5200 with all the light. Pluss I was figurin on paintin later but ran outta paint and the rooms a dark wood grain color. Its makin it hot with the dark walls too. I gotta get some paint for real but Il get some soon as I can. I figure Im gonna end up changin my light scedule and hozin down the roof every once in a while. --How hots it get out there Fast Pine? That is some cool shitt when ya gottem dialed in and theyre sukkin up the light! --Well Bruddas, Im bout to figure what hours to run my lights. :rasta:

HCA:...Run the lights on period during the night for sure...Its the best way to keep cool and save on power..Honestly,,,The temp variation can be so much that Ive never been able to use more than 2-3 Kw during the summer...i.e..80 one day,,,105 degrees the next....so..Here its normaly 85-90..

Fuckin sucks "thinking " you have everythin dialed in......Im pullin for ya my hairy cavey friend..

Eat Shitake:....Dang dude, The thread is doing very well..I like the vibe here..(im always pushing the desert stuff on the guys over in the Outdoor section),,,Thanks for the kind words..I appreciate it alot..BTW,,Just checked out yer joint venom head journal......Should be a good one..

Josey W:....As ive grown into a young man, ive developed a great bit of love for New Mexico.. Always willing to show off what I love..

As far as deer, an elk......Deer netting...Its worth its weight in gold...When ive used private propperty (high matenance),,I use chicken wire fences at six feet tall. Painted flt black to knock off the shine..See vol 1 in my sig for details..

The best is planting late.....People have soooomany probs with deer when the plants are young(1-2 ft)...I hold off....Wait to plant till the spring rains have provided more "native " food sources for the deer an elk....They wont be as prone to munch yer MJ if theres some lush scrub oak to eat, ya know...

Im normaly planting in areas where there arent any cows....Though Ive heard if guys trying to pull large patches on cattle ranches and such..I like Natnl Forst...

our plants don't mind the 1-teens...not one bit! but they do get watered 3-4x's/day too, of course...but now that the monsoons are here it's cooled off some but now it's humid as hell and our swamp coolers don't work...

but as you might notice, this hedge is doing mighty fine and has no probs with the az heat! this was taken a month ago and even tho i've tried keeping up with tying them down they're at 5' now...4'+ in the pic (soma x chronic). they've just started to flower and i'll put up fresh pics soon.

btw...room for one in my car for the vegas gig coming up but i'll be going up a couple days early and coming back a day late.

my route is from east-central az down hwy 60 to I-19 to wickenburg then kingman north but can detour...or if some want to caravan up that'll work too! it's been a long hot summer and i'm definitely ready for some detractions (to put it mildly)...lol

oh come on...like they're gonna be laying for me on any one of my many trips back-n-forth to vegas (i do it every 6 weeks or so)? and other than my little vial of select flowers there isn't any contraband in my vehicle and i never smoke in it...plus i'm legal in nevada and always have my card on me. so i see no harm in letting those who may need a ride know my route. how else would anyone near my path know there is space available?

would love to get directions to the mine in wickenburg! we (we being the dogs and me) usually stop at that rest stop on the hasayampa then again at burro creek for a swim and fill my pockets with apache tears and have another spot near chloride, az for gold and silver ore...even found a few with exposed vizzies! i could go on and on with all the little pull-outs i've found along the route cuz there are so many...once ya get out of phoenix it's a pretty awesome drive even after many years and 1,000's of miles of repeating the drive! and i always have my overnight camp gear packed in the back, just in case...sometimes the 9 hour drive from here to there lasts for a couple days!

sorry, just saw this...for faster service use my addy...canmon at yahoo or the pm's...thanks!

we put in at a county park on hwy 177 (might be hwy 77...i always confuse the two cuz both are right here...anyway, the highway running from winkleman to the east side of globe.) the park is called "the shores" but might not be on a map. it's only a 5 or 6 miles drive from the get-out point which is at river park in winkleman. entire trip takes about two hours if there are no stops along the way...
there are longer routes including one coming from the dam at san carlos lake but that would involve a campout or two...

after a week or so of cooler temps the heat's turning back on again and the monsoons are giving us a break...so let's tube the gila! anyone who can drive over to winkleman is more than welcome...i have 1 spare tube and the store to get more is on the way to the river park ($15 for a new, semi-large tube). i'll supply the burgers and dogs (with condiments of course) for the grill so we can have something decent to eat before and/or after the ride and have plenty of gear (including several portible hammocks and camp cots for under-the-stars camping) in case anyone wants to stay out for the night and do some star gazing...like i plan to do thursday night whether tubers show up or not! the only thing is tubing requires 2 vehicles and my lifestyle means i don't get too neighborly with the neighbors...know what i mean? especially in a super-small town like this one! most of my friends have careers or in school and all live at least a couple hours away so i don't get to do this near as often as i'd like and that's why i keep hassling you guys about it...if only i can get ya off your stoned lazy asses and take the short ride to the mighty gila!

weekends are kinda busy with the local families pretty much taking over both parks on weekends and they're not nearly as quiet for camping...but there's always plenty of room on the river...just trying to say, if ya want to camp weekdays are best unless ya don't mind little kids running around all day & night...the coyotes yipping at 4am is bad enough!

thursday works for me...!
