Back when I was a baker (as in making bread) the flour batches we got were graded by "ash content", usually around 0.6%. In this context "ash content" refers to the weight of stuff left over after burning the flour at about 900ºF. "Ash content" is considered to be synonymous with mineral content in flour; the iron, copper, molybdenum, etc.
Taking all this into account while smoking several bowls I realized that if you cash out all your bowls into your soil then you're recovering all the minerals & recycling them into the next batch.
