Gday Hash , its a bt hard to get clearer pics to have a much more closer look because all i have is a shity little web cam right now.

It really doesnt do any of the plants justice but its enough to gauge how big they are etc.

**Interested too see what your end results in the peat will turn out like and your thoughts as versus previous growing mediums you have used! **

I initially started out by using plain pro potting mix from the nursery, with organic compost and nutrients added, lime,blood and bone,assorted guanos,kelp etc you know the usuall goodies.

But i found i had alot of trouble with gnats. And indoors in a closet this can be overpowering really quickly. Literally within days theres hundreds of the buggers when they are on a rooting spree. They breed faster than rabbits.

Ive had to experiment because of that and have found peat to be not only cleaner and easier to handle but dries well and aids in retaining moisture for just long enough to have a good drink when you water them, but the key is to add atleast 30-40% Perlite to aid in that airy texture. Without the perlite, peat can be very thick and smothering.

I found my ph to be too high so i added peat moss which naturally drops ph in soils and it seem like its at a good consistancy now at about 20%Peat moss - 40%Coco peat - %40 Perlite.

No nutrients or soil additives are used unless they are in liquid form. Liquified kelp and guano for example.

This seems to be helping in keeping the numbers of gnats down in my closet.

I flush with fresh plain water every 4th feeding to make sure no salt build up occurs too much and make sure they have long drying bouts between waterings.

Just a quick update before heading out.

The Deep Chunk are very wide and very short.

I clipped 2 wide leaves from one plant to fit it in the grow room better, if it responds ok ill go ahead and clip the other one to fit it better also.

The seedbay freebies are going along alright.

I know man mine go mad the stuffs like friggin cat nip or something they love. Looking good man and your soil mix sounds good. I use similar soil but no coco. Hey the pics are ok man just fine, I can see the scale against your background IE the swivel chair etc ;-) that's a good indicator. Hey keep them coming bro, good luck.

An entire forum of users who suffered trolls so much on other forums that the first one who pops in and tries to do his evil here gets whacked in his heehaws faster than his head can spin .
