Hey bud, fwiw that plant was vegged 12-12 under t5s until sexed showed then re potted for flowering.

I'd noted some plants just naturally grow epic root balls from flipped clones and some just don't.

The results were encouraging and surprising in equal amounts.

Really blows me away how large a plant and how healthy it is can be grown in such small amount of medium!

The sound of automated watering is becoming more and more appealing so I’m less tied to the plants. Wife gets annoyed sometimes that we can’t leave for more than two days when the plants are in flower xD

I've a gg4 that needed a little attention (she's so needy )
The root ball is dense its been cut back in that pot numerous times, even when it needs watered now it's still unusually heavy, that said the plant does look OK.
Before I started.

Finished, it doesn't look much different but the roots have been trimmed, fresh coco and a feed.

Let's see what happens to it now then?

I've been doing other bits and pieces I've not had a chance to note, exo clone, at the time I was waiting on another exo clone to root but I felt vulnerable with only one

Iirc it was 9/10 days later it'd rooted

I've another exo vegging from the original 1st clone that's for flowering next.

It's 1 of 3 plants in the bigger pots.

Blueberry muffin, you might remember it from a while back?

I've been trimming and defoliating in a bid to keep it compact.

It's difficult to be sure but I think so?
I've nothing to gauge them against what do think?

Cocoa kush potted 7/10 days ago

I'm aiming to get a good root ball on 1x exo, 1x lcg and 1x cocoa kush that'll give them a good start this time it should be interesting.

It'd crossed my mind to tie some plants down, it seems a shame to waste the option with fems, thing I'm most concerned about there is it having an effect on the flowering time...naturally I'd like more but not if its going to cost more time?
Hmm? I suppose the only way to know is to try it, ok I'm expecting bigger plant = longer to finish?

I hope you're right in them taking the same time that'd definitely be preferable

Aye maybe, gut feelings do play there part!

But logically as long as they receive the same light intensity and conditions they should mature on point!

I've prepared pots for new seeds to go in so hopefully I'll get that done today, tbh they should've been started a few weeks back so they coincide with my crop drying just as they're revealing their sex, it's still a work in progress.

Ah nice one you won some seeds to

I've taken clones as late as 8wks ± but not in the normal way I rooted them on the plant aka "air layering"
I've some random pic's here it'll give you an idea idea of what's needed.

If you fix rooting sponges around a stem and cover them with clingfilm or plastic sheet and some string.

If you disrupt the sap flow using a piece of wire to strangle the stem it encourages it to root faster.

They're approaching the end of week 7 they don't have long to go I'm going to say another week ±

Say 10/14 days to finish + 10 days ± for drying and I need 3.5/4wks for preparing new seeds, so it's safe to get new ones started this weekend

Hello folk's, I broke out the tape measure yesterday its been a while

Keeping them compact was my main aim for these plants so I'd call that a pass?

I'm pretty pleased with how they've turned out.

This week compared to last the nutrient volume is almost half that's a sure sign things are winding down.

I added 1x exo blockbuster and 1x pia gow x meat breath to the new seeds 20 in total 11x fems 9x regular I'm thinking 12/15 would be a nice number.

They are getting a mature look to them, the end is near. Very nice.

Thing's have improved for me beyond words over this past year around my grow, growing from 12-12 is so much easier for me to manage and it's quicker, crikey there's even savings to boot!
Collectively it's made growing easier and enjoyable again.

I also crossed paths with @majik.bloom that was a blessing for me and my garden, I've since grown some of my best tasty bud in recent times from Majik Bloom some absolutely outstanding quality

Lol even the seeds themselves are big well formed beauties, my growing has turned a corner since I can't recommend @majik.bloom seeds highly enough!
