Dear diary, 12-12 from seedling.

I snapped a few pics before the light went off tonight.

I don't think they're going to need the 10wks I've allowed for flowering?

I'm starting to see a bit colour appearing around the foliage I'm going to say another 3wks for the some seed plants.

This'll be a 3rd crop from seed that been harvestable at 7/8 wks 11-13hrs.

Previously with 12-12 it was nearer 11 wks, yeh I know that's a big difference but it's what it was idk maybe there were other factors involved but I've double checked the numbers to be sure?

So it's time to start thinking about getting another crop planned so that's always exciting to pick a new crop only i can get carried away

Regular seeds are unavoidable for me but I'm going to limit them this time and use more fems.
I'm planning to prepare them in bigger pots than I normally do and also tie and train them so that's going to be a fun its been ages
I've got some great shit to grow it's going to be another great year in the garden

That is much faster! How did you veg them when you use to run 12-12? Might have something to do with it?

Hey bud, yes there was some differences between the 1st crop from 12-12 and the next 3, looking back that 1hr and weeks more wasn't lost the plants were overall bigger better yielding, here's some examples.

I've only the pics in pists above from more recent crops it's clear they're not as big, jfc that's intentional to fit more in.

The thing I done differently was maintain 12-12 right through and also potted up immediately after sexing.

Trying to think back gets a bit hazy I really should keep a diary

I'm glad I keep a journal, after a decade of using Fox Farm I am no longer able to get it where I live. I had to go back to mixing my own medium. That's where my journal came in real handy, at 75 years old my memory is not good. I record as much info in my journal as I can. Including organic soil mix ratios and additives from 2010 -2014, I was able to pick up where I left off. Thank goodness for my journal.

Those buds are immense!! Makes sense if space is limited. Variety is the spice of life!

Looking back it wasn't clever adding clones at this point.

I'd allowed 10wks in my head but looking at them should've told me they're not going mix, moving forward I'll need to flip clones 7/10 days earlier.

Timing issues aside I'm happy with their progress.

Tent overgrown full of flowers is not a bad site at all! Might have to play musical chairs to switch em out/around during harvest time, looking close! Great variety it looks like best of luck

It's to early to draw conclusions but early signs look promising, there's approx the same nodes on each but the trimmed one is a bit behind in terms of maturity,
let's see what happens next?

Tbh its not something I'd have planned Imo they're too different from each other but that said how bad can they be?
I'd grow 1/2 if I didn't have a list of other seeds I'm waiting to grow.

I'm running out of time for a second crop but I'm trying to figure out how I might restrict hours to deal with the early summer heat that effects my tent room. I've been watching Tangwenas thread where he restricts hours down to 9 dark hours on sativa plants.

Hey bud thanks for asking, yes things appear to working out it looks like there's seeds in blockbuster x exo and that was my aim so I'm happy with that.

It's not a great pic but it'll give you an idea of what I'm looking at, I've not seen any seeds that's a little concerning after seeing seeds in around two weeks with the one I mistakenly pollinated (grape fog/lemon cherry gelato x blockbuster)

I've a link iirc there's something in it relating to cutting hrs to offset heat stress iirc that was their original reason for trying less hrs?

I was having a look at Tangwenas thread they're lovely examples especially for 9hrsvof light.
Idk you've maybe seen the thread @Rexel is growing some Bruce Banner at 8hrs and it looks spectacular, there's definitely benefits to be had with less hrs of light.

Cost £165 for the 50 days since put into the flowering tent to finish vegging, then potted 5± days after.
I was in the tent tonight looking closely at the pollinated buds and yes all 3 have seeds in them, the one I mistakenly pollinated is in a pot with another plant so I left a branch of it uncovered to pollinate it...it turns out that was a blessing so I at least pollinated some blockbuster #1.

I cut my clones a little earlier than normal and they've still been pretty easy to manage

I love this method for keeping clones on ice until I know what I have, cutting them later again in flower can extend that period on ice to after drying/testing if you want.

Thanks bud, it does smell promising I'm hopeful about it, even from early on it had a good smell for its age, idk about blueberry though but it does have a sweet smell

It doesn't look like a yeilder but it might make a good building block to use on other blueberry?

I've got blueberry twist here, it's not a world beater but it's reliably fruity/berry

Nice sized buds and a fair to good yielder, it might be worth crossing them or even some other blueberry I've few varieties to grow

The blueberry muffin I’ve got atm I’m in awe at its smell already. It smells like blueberry syrup to the nose but a sugar leaf rub is straight up blueberry muffin!! I can’t believe how they managed to capture a baked muffin smell in weed. Maybe worth a shot?

If the clone takes and I get a mother I can always send a couple snips over as well bud

Hey bud, fwiw that plant was vegged 12-12 under t5s until sexed showed then re potted for flowering.

I'd noted some plants just naturally grow epic root balls from flipped clones and some just don't.

The results were encouraging and surprising in equal amounts.
