As long as I can grow my own and they leave me alone I don't really give a shit what they do the issue is when they call foul for people growing a plant they themselves are attempting to profit from - which they are free to do in America. I don't agree with it but they are in business to make money. I am in business to grow my own and get a buzz without getting bullshit from the government over it. :canabis:

Do you see how Sativex will effect the medical marijuana industry? The government will just say that all medical Cannabis users must use the prescription products made by the pharma companies. They'll say that herbal marijuana is not possible to standardize and regulate closely like pharmaceutical companies. They'll also say that smoking any herb is bad for you so they can't endorse smoked Cannabis, just the extracts.

The pharmas and doctors will get rich from medical Cannabis standardized extract prescriptions. There will only be slight euphoria produced. Just enough to make people subconsciously want more. It will feel like you smoked some crappy Leb hash, which is also about equal amounts of THC and CBD. Since it's non-toxic, the pharmas and doctors don't even have to feel guilty about it, like with all their other products. They'll prescribe Sativex for everything from anxiety to athlete's foot. Herbal Cannabis will remain a black market commodity.

Because they say all this, does not mean we have to stop growing our own.

What we should be saying is its gonna be harder to make a profit of mmj.

To be totally honest, I think this is the way medical cannabis should be, clean, pure and consistent, unlike the current system where truly sick people buy extravagantly overpriced herbs that are covered in PM cause the dispensary wants to triple its money like full blown retail and shoebox all the earnings. Its a joke.

Hey everyone who thinks.

If the DEA did do that, they did not say it was alright. It does however hold it's own weight in scheduling procedure as something not smoked was cited as not being of medicinal value.

With this change in scheduling, if they sell cannabis-based product, they would in fact virtually agree with the schedule change.

They are evil though, so they will make it a law. God gave this earth to us all and it is quite fair we grow ourselves and interpret the law sometimes philosophically, because honestly a person by the age of 12 knows any court, justice, expert or lawyer will not work armed with the truth, they must persuade or force and nothing can be done because

THEY MAKE THEIR OWN RULES AS NEEDED.

im worried that all well have left is dilluted geneticly modified mansanto weed.
there opening the flood gates for more convicts and insurence fraud and almost no access.

its going to reach a point of it not being enjoyable or relitivley safe.

Why worry about that? Did you know there are growers in this world who pride themselves on keeping world class genetics alive and available?

So what is there are crappy strains put into pills by the man, loving cannabis connoisseurs and cultivators will keep the good stuff alive and growing.

I wonder if the first publicly released strain from the US Corp will be something like "Sum-a Obama" or "White House"?
Maybe "Coco Puffs"? Or "KooKoo Puffs"?

Do you also think that because your version of medical cannabis is so great that other humans should be locked in cages? If you don't like the price of cannabis to the sick what is stopping you from growing more and providing it at lower cost? And if it should be this clean and uniformed way, what are you doing to provide that? If your thought was so much better for humanity why do your pigs need such large sticks and guns?

do you think that if you grow OD you can shoo all the mansanto poison away,or that it will stay away from land race genetics (depending on the country),or that they wont try find away to stomp out the people who grow indoor for personal use.
if this and other sites where to fall in the cross hairs of big pharma you and i will not be getting too much in ways of new genetics from across the globe.

they are a buisnuess, they are not restrained by laws except mabey federal, wich enforcment for buisnuess' is almost non-existant or sent away with a bribe or fixed with lobbying or lawyers.

chill out forum nazi, your imbalanced little introverted mind obviously read way to far into what I was saying. Your constant bad attitude and wannabe witty sarcasm is about as entertaining as a high school drama skit. One of my gardens harvests more in a single pull than all they lbs you've pulled your whole life douche so don't tell me shit about growing. My point was the current med scene is a scam plain and simple, anyone to argue otherwise is kidding their self. I didn't say I think people should go to jail for it, but thats always the way it will be so might as well get used to it and go about your business. I grow weed for recreational users not phonys trying to hide under the guise of mmj, its just my simple opinion that I believe a better pharmaceutical grade cannabis alternative to smoking raw, unregulated buds should be available for those who need it...and if you didn't like my opinion stick it where the sun don't shine for all i care you're just another telephone(internet in our case) tough guy.

You cant lump all of us into that statement. Im no poser and need Cannabis for my pain. Sure I agree that there are many that just get the card to smoke legal that is something that needs to be fixed. Untill then I would rather let those posers have the card as long as the people that really need it can get it.

Yes I do think outdoor growers can use clones of great genetics and harvest them free of seeds. As for Monsanto, unless they are spraying or pollinating your crops they can't stop you from having top of the line sensimilla.

If Monsanto or anyone else is maliciously hurting peoples crops with poison or unwanted pollen then they should get sued to high heaven in CA courts with CALIFORNIANS as the jury.

Now if ANY corporation, group, government, or individual thinks they can silence this community, then they've got another thing coming.

Overgrow is gone; Long Live ICmag. You cut off one head and two more grow back in their place. People have met in secret for fear of government reprisal for all of human history. They will never kill us all.

Well I may have a bad attitude because growers like yourself who grow admittedly for recreational users feel they are powerless to stand up to injustice. Rolling over with "get used to it people will always be caged over cannabis" is just abdicating your RESPONSIBILITY.

You judge peoples use of cannabis as a "scam" while admittedly growing huge numbers of pounds of cannabis. If their use of cannabis is a scam, is your cultivation of cannabis also a scam? Also who is getting scammed by the scam? Is there a scam victims group out there? If it is a scam, and you DON'T think cannabis users should be put in a cage; how do you propose that the scam be corrected?

It is also great that you think something (refined pill based delivery device) SHOULD be available to SOME cannabis users; but you produce the raw cannabis that is apparently not as good as a pill. That position seem really hypocritical and strange.

My guess is you are not a young guy because of your admitted history of great harvests and the telephone tough guy line. So help me get past my high school drama mentality and enlighten me on how cannabis should be treated by a rational society.

Hydrosun always diving dick first into the drama...

Yes there are tons of people who are using MMJ as a rec drug, and if I was in a med state I would be too. Yes there are tons of people who use it for acute ailments. There should certainly be an option for those who want the medicinal benefits of MMJ, but don't want the high or the traditional delivery method. I don't care about any of that to be honest. If they legalize it for recreational use, then the med users can have it however they want it and I can hang out with my buddies at a hash bar and openly grow weed at home.

The med thing is great and has gotten us where we are today. I think it has been good for the cause of MJ legalization, but I don't think it is the right fight at this point. The recent rescheduling push, the success of Sativex, the general view of idiocy that the American people feel for Marijuana crimes... Tis the time for legalization!

I know some see (the potential truth of) this article and it's implications as an end to MMJ as we know it. I see it as Big Pharma bracing itself for federal legalization. Once pot is everywhere, Big Pharma will be able to corner a little chunk of it. I'm OKO with them having a niche! As somebody said earlier, every plant grown is a step closer to legalization. As much as I like to see MMJ helping people, I am focused on a much bigger picture where recreational weed is helping even more people, and in many more ways.

yea they are prepping the playing field for sure...my main question is..how do you get one of these permits? do you have to be an existing agricultural company?

eventually every bud sold in a dispensary will have to come from verified government regulated facilities, that means health inspections, etc...no more basement weed.

while im sure people will still be able to grow in their basements and bedrooms most of that bud is gonna end up on black market or shipped to states/countries were prohibition still exists...

i welcome running a clean facility that pays taxes, and have my own brand like Moonshine, that would be a dream! only problem is, i dont have a half million dollars to invest in that, i need prohibition to continue for a few more years so i can stack the money needed to go legal!!

That's kinda what I'm saying though. I don't think there will be dispensaries. It will be either blackmarket and med, or headshops and hashbars. Pharma won't ever sell flowers! I think those who are that afraid of the culture will prefer the Pharma stuff anyways.

I'm thinking that if big Pharma dives strait in, using a natural product to make their pill/spray, then that opens a door to legalization through rescheduling. If that happens, rec goes crazy and the dispensaries give way to, or change into places that serve to any adult, aka "recreational". If rec legalization happens there won't be mmj imho.

Won't somebody think of the Children!

MMJ is a great way to 'get your foot in the door'.
To keep growers out of jail from 'local' law enforcement.
Sure a lot of assholes jump on the bandwagon, and some finger pointing goes on about WHO really needs it.

But the truth is, just like Cali, when Colo went big med (June 09), the scene blew up, quality became more available and peeps had to up their game or get out.
In the end it was better for ALL consumers.
Just some people have different perceptions of WHAT it should be.
You can't please everybody, such just please those that can be.
Fuck the rest!
Some people forget what it was like before.
Just say no to schwag!

All those bitching about the shitty meds they buy from the dispensary, are like the ones bitching about the shitty Chinese products they buy from Walmart.

So, I want a BMW M3, I want it to only cost $100 and I want to be able to pick it up at the local Target. Oh and it should get 100 MPG and gas should only cost $0.50 per gal.

Not everyone is as Constitutional as you. I see it everyday. Many people willing to live in fear, trade freedom for appeasement of fear, trade another's freedom for their own...
I think this is why Governments work in the first place.
It is at least reason why many Detectives still have a job.

im in a non-med state. im not concerned with who gets "medical" and who doesnt. it should be free for everyone.
like a apple.
everyone speaking in support of medical use isnt aware of your right to do what you want medical or not.

NH is right live free or die.
