Had to really start strapping down the GT on the right. I absolutely love her but, as per usual with the more thin leafed sativa ladies, some bondage was in order.

Mi esposa looked at it and said she was getting jealous.

Regards.

Just about or approximately 6.5wks of flower schedule lighting. Moving along well I think.

I also have 3 SnowMoon youngsters, 6 SMXGT, and clones of two of these flowering plants in my veg tent. Odor is increasing daily as is resin production.

Great progress @Azeotrope plants look healthy and happy passing mid flowering under your good cares  Curious about the different traits betwen plants from the Snow Moon x Golden Tiger hybrid and how does it compare with straight Snow Moon or Golden Tiger.

dubi - Thank you again for the positive feedback! The SMxGT was the result of me not being able to resist using some pollen from an absolutely beautiful male SM to pollinate 2 GT females that were very uniform sativa "christmas tree" shaped beauties. The main difference between the two females was cola diameter or flower structure. One was very Malawi influenced and the other more open/thai in nature. They were both very potent and yielded very well. I was flowering two clones of those GT mothers in one of my tents.

The SM male was very dark (not just the too high N kind of dark) with plenty of colour in the stems/structure. Odour was very strong and sour/fruity. Some resins present on the flowers and it was productive in terms of flower set. Wide leaves and extremely tight node spacing.

Expectations were in line with what you mentioned to me in back when I did this which was that variability could be high which I completely agree with. I have run only about 12 of the resulting offspring and 10 of them were so similar that they would have fooled some novices into thinking they might be clones. Those 10 were all very much thin leafs, PCK/SM colour set, strong presence of the sour/fruity odour, very vigorous/easy growers, with slightly less stretch than GT can exhibit. Great branching for SCROG and exceptional yield in the entire set of branches. They generally all finished in about 11.5 - 12wks. I let one go 14 and really liked that. The two that stood out from the others were not coloured and did not have the distinct and strong odour of the others. They were less branchy and had somewhat wider leafs. They did yield quite well though.

SM for me was very calming and relaxing. I have a large number of sports injuries and surgeries from playing tennis. basketball, and American football all at a very high level. SM was very settling before bed or when I was really stiff and sore. Easy to grow, reasonable yield quantity and a fairly short flowering period. Needs some time to veg.

GT for me was the extremely potent and more cerebral/happy/energetic option to the many of your amazing Malawi that I have grown. Very long lasting high. Explosive growth, great response to training/pruning, likes organics, 12-14wks is where I start thinking about harvest for our taste. Malawi and GT are favourites in our home.

SMxGT for me is very much like the purple expressions from your Malawi X PCK that I have grown in terms of odour, taste, and effect. A little brighter effect for me. Nice body effect as the high progressed. Potency was excellent and the high was very long lasting like GT.

dubi - These little ones are all SMxGT. The two largest were started from seed under the canopy of the big grow about 4-5wks ago. I dug them out after 3.5wks and put them in the nursery. The lighter coloured of the two has been topped and has already identified itself as a female.

You clearly know what your doing, your SMxGT hybrid it looks and sounds very nice.

If you dont mind me asking why are Malawi and GT favourites of yours? I had a had time deciding what strain I was gonna grow Malawi and GT were high on the list.

Herbidacious - Thank you. There are many talented growers on here. I just seem to get along with plants in my own way so....

So - Malawi and GT both have the extremely high potency of the Killer Malawi line. Their highs last for a very long time and there is no tendency to build up a tolerance. Very efficient smoke😎 No indica influence at all. Both yield very well.

GT is a bit more electric and psychedelic so to speak. Malawi hits my head very quick and heavy but, not tired/couchy at all. GT has a bit more stretch and more space between nodes.

You just need to be ready to really let them finish in my opinion. 10-14 and while many can be ready at 10-11 the best effects and overall quality is 13-15. That is what my wife prefer. You might have a different preference.

Best regards - Azeo

The next batch getting ready. Front 3 (bottom of pic) are Snow Moon. The 2 rows behind them are Snow Moon x Golden Tiger. There are some reveging and stressed out but, recovering cuts from the current batch as well.

Had a soil issue as these popped. All worked out now. That's what happens when you sow the seeds in your flowering top dress mix.🤔

A day or two away from being 8wks in on flowering schedule. Some pistil changes going on. Trichomes are clear as would be expected. My instincts have me thinking 3-5wks left on the two more mature plants and 6 to 8wks left on the GT jungle goddess that is about 12days younger overall. I find it strange that after all the countless plants/grows/years, I still tend to get antsy or edgy over pistil color change that occurs.

Maybe that is from growing out a whole bunch of Reeferman seeds years ago and the constant issues they had with hermies. His stuff was terrible and in the same conditions as all other lines from other breeders, it happened like he had bred for the hermies to be dominant in his genetics. 🤔

Included a pic of the revegging clones, Snow Moon and Snow Moon x GT babies in the nursery as well.

Still feeling like 3wks is when I'll be able to consider harvesting some.

Transplanting of the young nursery plants will take place tomorrow. Just a small increase in pot size for now until I free up some room in the flowering space.

Plants in the nursery all got a haircut and a repot. Found a little branch diving below the canopy that got mangled a bit as I was top dressing and watering the ladies so it now belongs to my wife.

It really had been buried in the shadows for quite some time and yet, it looks quite alright. Hehe😎

Asking for input from all of my ICMag friends. Open to your thoughts..... Is this a banana? I do have my thoughts after 20+ years of growing. 9wks done and into week 10. Thinking 2-3more weeks to finish correctly but, I have a rather large Golden Tiger about mid flower in the tent next to this. Trichs are still nearly all 100% clear.

Edit: Look at the lower left fresh cluster.

This plant is in the back and very hard to access without heavily molesting the other ladies.

Sorry I cant be of much use I hope somone can give you some advice/info soon.

Nice looking plants btw, pics IMG_0193 and IMG_0195 are my favorites

Thank you for the feedback and input. It was a single banana. They typically are harmless this late in flowering and most do not produce pollen.

Regards
