I'm running their Venom OG right now. So far so good. I can always tell dudding due to the fan leaves being very small in veg, and the beginning of flower. I've grown several DHN cuts w/o dudding. Guess I got lucky. I'm not running anymore after this venom though. Too risky

I think the cut of Vanilla Frosting I got from DHN this year was a dud. Small fan leaves, weak bud structure. Clones from the mother were very weak and took a very long time to root. I ended up tossing it. Hope the Wedding Cake turns out better.

Yeah, I snatched up a sour diesel cut from them. Small fans, long veg, and no vigor. Kept the venom due to it growing normal with no issues. I wanted to get the romulan cut from them, but cant take anymore chances. Hopefully they get their shit together over there.

Somehow even their seedlings test positive for the dudding virus now, according to their own site.

That Romulan cut, they got from us here.. havent heard anyone have an issue yet with their cuts of our Rom. But we have fem seeds on our website.. always an option. :tiphat:

I got some blood diamond og from wonderland nursery this year an half of them ended up pretty small. The other half did pretty good. Also ran their og chemdawg and it did terrible. No more chemdawg for me I ran dark hearts chem4 last year and they didn’t do all that great aswell. I’m by no means a great grower. Gonna be running fem seeds next years to see how they do compared to clones.

Seems like some strains dud much easier and more often than others. I remember it started becoming a thing when Gorilla Glue started getting popular, or at least that's when I started becoming aware of it.

Ran a few of their clones, here's the results:
blueberry muffin-finishes very early, finished around third week of September outdoors in the PNW. don't waste your time, complete dud, the cut took over a month indoors to grow a few inches, even when Babied for Jesus. Flowers smell like blueberry muffins spot on the first few weeks, but by the time it was harvested, it definitely smelled like something different, not as good. Taste is okay, high is almost non-existent, even for someone with low tolerance.

Purple Punch: finishes early. Tastes and smells like that red hawaiian punch from the 1990's, really delicious aroma! Incredible bag appeal. really shitty, low quality effects, not very strong and quite bland.

GG4-definitely the real deal and surprisingly very high yield even on small plants. Incredibly frosty, extremely high hash/rosin yields. Beautiful buds! aroma and taste wise, like a dry wine and very typical fuel smell: not my cup of tea. Smells very "typical" of standard, hybrid cannabis. potency-wise, my friend said it jacked him up really well, it was strong to him. I have a low tolerance, and it doesn't get me scared high like a few other varieties, but it's decent.

Cookies: no idea why they don't call it GSC, and no idea which cut they're distributing. Their description on the label of what the parents are sounds bogus, will try to find the label. Very low vigor, moderate to low yield. leaves turn purple with cold stress. Smells somewhat similar to GG4, but slightly different. Definitely more finicky than all the other clones, needs optimal conditions to yield good quality buds. Finishes late October outdoors in the PNW, very beautiful buds. Haven't tried it yet.

I just feel like if youre going to distribute clones to people who use this as their medicine, you should have stable/predictable genetics.

Just picked up gg4 clones from dhn. Grew 6 dosidos and 2 gg4 last grow and was delighted with the results. Only issue was need for branch support. Here's a pic of 4 plants under one light, the gg4 is front, must be mid/late flower. Pic of the gg4, 4 days after pickup. Dudding would be a source ender for me.

Only bad DHN clones I've ever bought were gg4's.

Been running DHN for 8 years and have been real happy.

Every other place I've picked up clones has been nothing but problems

^ Same here this was my 3rd run outdoors and Dark Heart held it down for me. Some of the clones got stunted tho. I don’t like how clones get stunted easily in general. Gonna run all fem seeds next year.

Clones doing well grown outdoor organically. My initial impressions early on were that some percentage of clones did not appear as healthy or vigorous as the rest whether strain specific or random chance. Lost some which is environmental strain specific or random chance. Majority doing well and no stunted growth or sign of a virus I'm aware of. What has happened some have moldy stems with dead tops, strain specific random chance or bug caterpillar damage. The larger diameter stems do not seem to be damaged in that way with the mold ring (seedlings and tops of clones in the rain yes). Growing a 'scatter plot' of genetics outside is helpful learning about the plant.

Larger size plants seem to have a better success rate on average at least in the hands of a somewhat incompetent/neglectful handler. The 'heaviest' strains that may like more feeding could be more susceptible to drying up or browning on the 'table' while receiving occasional tap water in their rockwool cubes before transplant although my observation may be related to or influenced by plant/cube size.

Or the most THC, highest heaviest yielding in a relatively short time, may be characteristic of some of the varieties I've lost due to inadequate environmental conditions and/or care on my part. One 'genetic' may grow resin in lower light, another 'genetic' may not grow as fast since it wants or expects warm to hot weather not overcast cold. Dark Heart clones are well selected to be vigorous performers in the climate I'm in (northern Mediterranean or coastal temperate).
