I talked with Pat at DHN last week and he said he is getting a lot of reports that there gg4 is going full blown hermie. makes me wonder if its grower error or what. I had posted earlier that I was pretty sure there cut was legit but I am having second thoughts on that, I also offered to hook them up with a verified cut but they showed no interest at all, I also asked them to donate to my legal fund since they are selling gg4 ( maybe ) but they said no. I really cant say much for there ethics.

yes, it happens when the plants are in small pots for months under continuously light (while winter waiting for spring)... it happened with some of my clones (turned to 100% male lol) but other strains not hermed in the same rude conditions. so its also strain dependent but it comes mainly from grower error (bad conditions). the lights gave the heat in my growbox at winter so I should use 24/0 lighting to veg them unless they would froze. and had space limit so should used small pots.

iuno I had a few strains.. for example Pineapple Express.. did great for 3 years.. and no matter how healthy the clones were at about week 3 of flower.. id have nuts hanging everywere with buds growing..

had to get rid of it..

I always wondered if u treated a plant to make S1s and took clones from it. would those hermi?

Ive noticed with Chem genetics...if your day and night temps have too much variance ... those genes will go nannerville on you .. Im starting to hate anything with CHem in it for that reason alone...

Stormy I told DHN about chem genetics also, he pretty well just shrugged me off, to me its very bad business to not give a shit but I guess as long as there selling it makes no difference to them.

this is the reason I started the web site , I want to hold these people responsible for what they sell. its going to be a up hill fight but if enough people pressure them it will work.

sadly your right, its a touchy subject in that its totally up to us as growers to do something about it, I know the icmag crew is a small % of the growers that buy there clones but if we would stick togather and boycott all despensarys that don't sign up . wishful thinking on my part

Lol, how do you people not keep mothers. My only real gaol in this game is acquire fine genetics and not lose them. Your not a real grower if you buy your cuts. Time for all the clones buyers to step it up, keep your own genetics. I have trays for days over here and no one wants them. I will throwing away maybe a couple hundred starts this year. Headband and sour d. Oh so unfortunate!
