My ICE girl starting to turn green

Was a little nervous to germ a bean I paid money for. Was e z peazy. Germinated was faster and easier then the old bagseeds I have been using.

So I get to keep the other 3 seeds for later !

Heres some of the ladies in the flower room, stretching is about over.

And I had sacrificed 1 lady to practice my cloining on. In total I took my first 24 clones off of her... Wouldn't you know ... fucking all 24 lived...

Now I need to figure out how to keep them alive until i can use them LOL.

I kept the best 9 rooted clones and put them in the little mother box for now on 24/0.

The other 4 clones from my first cuts are about 6 inches taller now from being in the 12/12

A few of the clones have been in 12/12 for about a week now. Should they start to flower right away or does it take a little time for them to root and settle in ? They look like this:

My new veg chamber. Holding under 85F, I think I can get this to work The floor is adjustable so I can veg for a good 4 weeks in here from seed I'm hoping. These seedlings are bagseeds, about 7-8 days old. Ice 2 days old.

Also popped the 11 mixed Skunkman Haze/Skunk beans into water just now, so I'll have something from those soon to veg out. The goal is to not be flowering out plants that were run 12/12 from seed because it's all I had.

So I still have the 9 clones in the 1sq ft box too. Things are all good for the next round, atleast that's what I'm working on. That is where I keep falling short. I harvest, and then I got no plants. lol.

I'm not having great luck with the haze/skunk germ rates on these.. only about half have popped so far, we'll see. Free beans is free beans in my book though. Anything that pops is bonus, I still got 3 of my 4 Ice beans

Isn't that what happens to all of us ! I thought I would give growing a hand for the free smoke, turns out it is not free and the act of growing has become my biggest hobby.

6 of the Haze/Skunk#1 Mix are above ground.

Thanks MrPiston. You are right but this round I just ran 12/12 from seed with no training. Still trying new things every run to see how everything works. This is the first time i haven't topped or LST'ed my plants for flower, and I have no canopy to speak of. The plants are budding right on scedule and looking frosty already for bagseeds.

Alrighty. A few pages back, I had been talking about upgrading my light. Well I have not had time to make the long trip to the closest hydro store, but I have been still pinching pennies knowing that I would not forever be stuck in a 2x3 area.

Last night me and the lady were talking. She brought it up. I would have never tried to boot her out of the closet. But she asked me if I would buy her a stand-alone wardrobe dealy, like an Ikea closet for her cloths. So that I could keep all my grow stuff to the closet, and use the whole area. I've been in a 2x3, but the closet is closer to 6x5, so that will become my new footprint Who am I to say no to her, the more I learn and grow the more she supports it.

I haven't decided what I'm going to do yet. I will stay horizontal, because when I get a 1000w light, it will far outyield what I can personally smoke. Selling is not an option, I refuse to do it and dont mind if you do. Penalties are too strict here. Plus summer is coming, and I'll be venturing outdoors to plant. So no vert even if it's better.

I'm rambling, just got off work and hit up the bong. Excited I can take over the closet. I'm hoping I can get a new light this weekend and then I will expand. I just need a free day to make the trip.

I ended up with 7 Haze/Skunk#1 Mix seedlings
The Ice girl is doing great, about a week old now
The 9 clones in the 24/0 Mother box are growing, I can probably keep them in there for 3 more weeks with no worry.
Flower ladies are starting to bud up, starting to look like a decent run. The runs get a little better every time.

Today, 9 days later they are growing and yellowing a little. I assume due to low light.

I gifted 2 seeds and popped 4 initially. All 4 popped but 3 turned out to be males. The female I did have I pulled. She was stretching something fierce. I was averaging 4-5 inches between nodes. Can't have that in my set-up, just won't work. Have the other 4 going into soil in a few hours, so we'll see if they do better.

Thanks Deft. There definately is a lot of diff variety in these bagseed plants. There is probably not any 2 plants of the same thing except the clones.

A bagseed seedling showed female preflowers today so i stuck her into a 1gallon pot and threw her into the 12/12 mix. Getting cramped, room for 1 more maybe.

It's the luck of the draw.
Kinda hard growing freebies like that if you don't know the exact background of each seed. I always treat my sativas different than my sativa/indica hybrids. And I think I put them into soil that was a little to rich in nitrogen, hence when they went into 12/12 they 'exploded' from the excess and stretched BIG time. Plus they were the real small seeds at that, which more than likely was the haze/skunk crossed to itself which def. explains the stretch.
Can't complain though, free seeds can't be beat.

Ah, what the hell.

I thought maybe it dried out, so I watered and it's not standing back up. Although I just watered it yesterday so I don't think it dried out. Not sure what happened. Just got off work a little while ago. I think this little guy just had a sudden unexplained death.

well it happens sometime, the weak ones wont respond well to light shocks or transplanting, so they die off ... hey look like you culled the weak one, now the healthy happy babies are ready for high school and soon to college
