I remember smoking mtf back in 06 or 07, came from a music festival and back to the east coast. Smoked and remember complete outer body experiences, still wildest herb I’ve smoked today.
The one x rks I’m running right now makes me wonder what’s gonna come from the beans I haven’t popped...how close is that stuff to the chem line i wonder, because one of the phenos looks a lot like some of the chemdawg crosses I’ve seen...very skunky and a lot of the same greasy attributes. I’m excited to see what comes from those ancestral skunk crosses, that skywalker will be a fun one to dig thru. I keep finding super skunk ass smells from the yogis I popped, the male more than the females but the ladies stink pretty foul, and they’re still veggin :) swami’s stuff seems legit so far, and I think you may possibly find some gold searching thru some of his gear as well.

The true mtf cut was obtained by a famaily member 30 years ago . But traces back to the late 80s and most that have tried it think its laced . Just goes to show some of these old girls still got it lol . She is a 12+ week strain though . But well worth it for a afgahnie ;) .

Are you saying you were testing for RKS Cannabinoids in the late 70's or early 80's?

I'm also curious about what Sam has to say on the subject. In Robert Connell Clarke's book Marijuana Botany he mentions that testing for potency was used in the breeding of Skunk #1. I can't find my copy at the moment so I can't give you the exact quote.

Wondering what types of tests were available at the time, what cannabinoids were tested for, what % of THC and other types it had (I understand THC can vary greatly depending on the type of test), and whether you tested both the males and females. I'd imagine testing the males would be useful. And any other ways you found the testing useful.

I wont get into the whole skunkman/sacred seeds thing, as it will strt an argument.

But from what I understand the original sk had the Sk selectively bred out of it by sam, and from what I know, RKS IS NOT A COMMON PHENOTYPE. There are many phenotypes in real sk, as we know Cheese, and other clone only phenos have been found in Sk1.

I know the early 80s SSSC M9/Sk1 did have reekers.

Also if you consider the SSSC catalog came out as early as 84 that I know of.

The info in this description says this version arose in 1974......The catalog is 1984, and they say this version arose 10 years earlier, and also has Thai listed in the description, where Original Sk has 000 Thai, and is Columbian God/Red, Acapulco Gold, and Mazar I Shariff.

Super Sativa Seed Club - Skunk 1
M9
Originally developed by the Sacred Seeds Co. A winner of a number of harvest festivals. One of me most sought after strains in the world.

The 1st Harvest Festival was 1967!!!!!!!!!! Sk won from 67-69.

Ten years ago the sweet SKUNK 1 arose from an Afghani, a Columbian, and a Thai. It is now a stabilized homogeneous hybrid with less than 5% deviations.

They also mention NO MAZAR i SHARIFF.

NOTICE WHERE THEY DESCRIBE.... SWEET SKUNK?????? I WOULD SAY THOUGH AT THIS POINT, THEY WERE STILL THROWING REEKERS EVEY NOW, AND THEN.

The breeding plants were selected scientifically. Examination tests selected the plants with the highest percentage of THC. A THC percentage of 15% was indicated by gas chromatography. The SKUNK 1 has a high calyx to leaf ratio. Large, long full buds. It finishes the first week of October. The Yield varies from 400-1000 grams. With an average of 500 grams. Yields of up to 2000 grams {5 pounds!} have been recorded. Indoors, experienced growers can, by using the plantlet method, harvest 400—500 rams per square meter. Very suitable for Indoor growing, too.

Its all about the phenos, and the origin of genetics. There never ever was a PURE RKS LINE, but the phenos do show up, in some peoples genetics, but for Dead On RKS, No Compromises, you may have to go through 200 females to find 1-3 suitable females, and is not obtainable in modern Sk1. Many have the Sk spray smell though, and is very powerful, and makes your eyes water.

If I was trying to recreate more RKS there a a few places Id start with.

The Nature Farm Sk18

Duke Diamond Va
Local Skunk
Dominion Skunk
Granny Skunk
Sis Skunk

Swami Organic Seeds
The One x 1985 cut RKS/Michoachan.
Purple Zebra x RKS/Michoacán

Golden Coast Genetics has an Original 1979 No Thai Cross RKS clone only mom. This cut, and the Sk18 are exact matches, and have 000 Modern Parentage.

Of those lines you mention (Nature Farm, Dominion, Swami, etc.) none of them found RKS.
So, no its not in there.

In the 30 yrs that people have been trying to redux Skunk x Affy, none have found RKS in that mix.

I found it this month in an African landrace line, and I found it 4 yrs ago in a PPP cross.

Nobody had sk18 to mess with either. The genetics only became avaiable 2 years ago. Swami RKS Hybrid only became available last year, and many od DD VA have only just become available.

SS VA was also a hit at the Emerald Cup For SKUNK... Capital G, and his Local Skunk reeks even more.

Many people at Emerald Cup and on Instagram confirm DD VA, TNF and Swami have RKS phenos in their lines.

Just because some say its not to be found is incorrect. Also ALL of it reeks of skunk, in 1 way or another. Most may not be pure Dead RKS, but I can assure you it reeks so much it can be smelled from a concrete basement, all the way out into the front yard. And it smells of strong skunk chemical spray

Also there never was a Pure RKS line, and TNF had to go through over 200 Females, and over 200 Males to find 4 of each to try and more Isolate the RKS gene, without bottlenecking the strain.

Fake News though. People ARE finding RKS phenos, AND DOCUMENTING THEM, they just arent common.

But I could care less if anyone goes for it.
