Yep growing your own is the only option nowadays and before nowadays.

I started growing thanks to the dreaded soap bar pretending to be Morrocon hashish back in the day here in Britain where mainly hash was smoked. Yes we did get good jamaican columbian gold, and Thai weed. But the weed got scarce once soap bar got to the streets. So when we got good weed we saved the seeds and grew em....never looked back.

I'm not sure if it's just chemical feed, maybe if they really overferted but still.. I mean these nugs could weigh 2 times as much as they look like, without being wet..
I always thought they sprayed something on it afterwards to increase weight. Probably after sieving too

I came across some cannabis like this in 2009/2010 in the USA on the east coast. I wish I could remember back that far to pinpoint where I bought it. I remember getting sick though and having a VERY sore throat after smoking it.

If they are doing it to increase weight then they are wasting their time; the visual size of the deals will be much smaller and will put people off buying them.
People shouldn't go strictly by weight when buying a deal, it's the volume of pot in the bag that is the important thing. Deal A could weigh less than deal B and yet have more pot to smoke in the bag.
The heavier deal could be wet and so you are paying for water not pot.

Alot of it sensationalism on the behalf of wannabe legalise it people. Alot of the silicone and supposed glass like substances are often just over spraying too late in flower of harmless silicone sprays that protect plants, all hydro shops sell it and recommend it. I also agree though a major portion of it also is wholsale importers dont have enough drug knowledge let alone weed savvy. To them it's just a commodity, half the time it gets over and doesnt get spotted untill it hits the more knowledged customers. It's not an evil conspiracy, just a problem between contact and source producer. People with no knowledge always are quick to assume. Make it too legal and we cant grow, make money . Make it decriminalized in small posessionable amounts and it is organised crime groups that control supply and put crap in it.

Plus if weed was legalised and the big companies swoop in and control it. No of us would compete with multi-billion dollar corps that will make home growing and the glorious counter-culture dissolve. We will not be able to grow with out specialised licences that for most who have trafficking convictions or cultivation conviction will be out. No one will be able to feed our kids and there will only be guns and immigrants for organised crime groups to traffick. Think about that.... Regulated weak strength weed that's been GM'd to have more CBD to counter the THC. No one can make a few quid doing the thing they love best. Think about that next time u want it legalised..... Its such a grey area!!

Also there is the phenomena of robbed crops. When rippers have big Viet crops, they will throw plants in bags like a bank robbery filling money. Imagine pearlite, vermiculite etc, soil, root mass. You name it, all going in the mix. Then it's quick dried and out on the streets. sometimes immature, you'll see orange/yellow pistils that were obviously white at point of harvest. This can often explain shit weed and foriegn objects.

I just remebered. 'Dutch' is usually garbage the coffee shops wont have so they get rid half price. Same as weed well passed shop sell by date. The majority does go to france and Spain. They have our garbage too. lol..... The Viets pump it over there and it's shite.

you are missing the point my friend. they do grow poor quality weed , then spin it to remove the resin (sell that in a coffeeshop) , spray the remaining herbal waste with contaminants, and ex-port it to someplace else .

its a damn shame, what some $ greedy foolz will do... i remember times end of 90s when the bricked weed (holland imports) got tumbled before pressing, at least it wasnt sprayed afterwards, to make it all shiny... but this is outrageous, ...

My mate was chopping up some bud with some scissors and you could hear this crunching scratching sound, that bud almost totally blunted a new pair of scissors I read that they skim the resin off for hash and then coat it in crap to make up for the lack of the resin... double kick in the balls. I hope this will encourage people to grow there own, free the weed

thats it completly .. ok so i heard this was going on in canada also.. they are guys tumbling there buds making tons of hash.. then taking that same bud and like sand blasting it with glass.. or sugar.. whatever they feel like using.

then there are others.. that are growing the plant.. and while its growing.. introducing it threw the air.. so the plants end up growing around it causing more weight..

its just nuts.. cause there are products that add weight.. i had some strains that would always be airy.. so i used some stuff called gravity.. next thing u know.. buds are nice and thik and hard

This is the reason why i risk arrest growing my own due to supply being poision ,many people in uk all now grow there own ,the organised crime/Police weed is finished now in uk as everyone now grows there own or knows a grower ,when people by bulk drugs in europe for uk its in euros our pound use to give 1.50 so drugs were cheap in europe,i beleive the tampering with weed had something to do with prices and profit a Kilo was 2.500euro which doubled over the years due to exchange rate ,the smugglers wouldnt pay double for same product so they stripped the hash of so called squidge and then sprayed the deresined bud with glass,and any thing resembling resin,but its backfired cause everybody grows thete own noww thousands of us,peace.

Local shops in my area have stopped carrying gravity, bushmaster, and snowstorm ultra for these exact reasons.

alot of people are wise to it now so instead they have started spraying with this greasy oil type stuff. you cant see it but it never dries so the bud is perpetually damp. you will know it when you see it. its like oil or grease of somekind.. strange stuff.

Smoked some of that recently I think. Buds look ok, a bit dark and very weak smell. It's damp like you said and my friend tried to microwave it but didn't work. It looks a lot less than what it weighs, like half to 2/3.
Tastes like nuts, walnut, not as nasty as I'd expected and it's still got THC somewhere in it as it did get us high. But it wasn't a pleasant smoke so we didn't finish the joint.

I really wonder how much of this stuff is put out on the street as I've seen it a few times recently.
