i'm afraid comments about civilians with arms exercising their right to self defense are a cause for extreme worry. it seems the 2nd has become some thing to fear for most folks, rather then being a tool to help you not to have to live in fear of the next criminal with bad intentions towards you. hope that explains why your post might have been removed. think politically correct. ic mag doesn't need the attention of more authorities then are already interested due to the cannabis discussions. last thing we need is the gun grabbers to get interested in ic mag. at least i think this is the situation

International forum, in the US we're allowed to carry firearms, in fact I encourage it.

First I'd like to say I hope everyone is at least ok and if everyone is then good.

Also I'm sorry to hijack this a little but these are prime examples of why legislation in our country needs changing. Not JUST marijuana legislation but obviously other things need to be re-evaluated. (mind you I'm not anti-guns, I'd say amateur enthusiast maybe I'm also kinda for gun laws) Further I'd like to say this sets an example of why more folks need to stand up and influence their community and make it a priority to be more pro-active in not just our communities and government but our nation and our nations government. These kids I'm sorry I won't make excuses for them, you don't want to know what I would try to do to a person who points a gun in my face much less a minor trying to be a thug however in life I don't see that they have many choices especially easier ones. Everyone just wants to live and have the means and security that comes with the territory. They probably haven't finished highschool, and on top of that they'd need to go to college THEN start the grueling process of working their way up the employment ladder. Not so bad I know but when faced with much of the situation that the entire nation is feeling, it is easier and faster to do it illegally. The world is changing too fast for the old ways of thinking yet we still expect the same from our youth who's pressure has only rose exponentially. I don't sympathize, condone or credit anything they've done although at the same time I understand.

Again sorry to the OP and the rest of ya for kinda hijacking it and ranting. I hope you and all of your family are safe and I wish I knew where they ran off to 'cause I would sure as hell get your shit back for you.

Yea it happened pretty fast. They got $300 and a lil bit of headstash. Basically I was like Damn you gonna do it like this in front of my son and he was like fuck your son. Give me your $ and it better be hundreds. Mind you this is like a 16 or 17 year old. So my first instinct is to overpower him but with my son I couldn't risk it. So I gave them my $ and weed and they jetted into the darkness. Fucked up part is they're just kids their damnself. Our youth have no respect or morals. There is no criminal code anymore. Unfortunatly, gun laws do nothing to help the average law abiding citizen. Criminals are going to use guns, regardless of what legislation happends to try and stop gun use. So enacting serious gun laws will do nothing but make it more difficult for people to defend themselfs. IMO every citizen should be allowed to conceal carry loaded firearms regardless of job title or state of residence. No one should be barred from protecting themselfs. This is america. If we take away our right to defend ourselfs, we might as well call ourselfs canada and give control of our country to the queen of england....

You said there was two of them. Even if your son was not with you, I do not see how you could tell if one of them was packing. Your son needs a father and kids these days of all ages are carrying and not afraid to use it. Even if you double superman punched there neck you have no clue if there is more of them waiting back. You clearly did the right thing, just be thankful they didn't have something to prove. Many people aren't as lucky.

And I do agree that money and weed are not worth dieing for but the right to walk down the street safe and without fear is worth dieing for. IMO How come there has never been a war on crime?

Reading about this situation really brings up deep feelings with me.

When I was young the US goverment spent alot of money on me teaching me to become a kiling machine. Trained heavily in hand to hand combat for work on the front lines. It was sort of a family thing. When you get out of that type of environment, it's really hard to just turn it off.

My wife, kids, and myself were confronted one time by armed thugs when we were in the big apple, and my training kicked in, and I really feel bad about what I did to those kids. It really traumatized my kids seeing something like that. Looking back I probably should have just gave them the money in that situation with family present.

No...because you NEVER know what they're going to do. When you give up...you hand your life to them. You did the right thing.

My grandma was held at knifepoint by a crackhead when I was 7. She slammed the door on this dood prolly braking his arm, threw the car an reverse runnin his leg over and then as the dood was getting up she put the dood over the roof of her car at about 20mph,, motherfucker got wrecked. and to top it off some cop saw the whole thing happend from down the street and arrested the dood after already getting mangled. But than again she carried a little .40cal and was ready to end this cats life.... man i miss my grams.
