Dab on this, then attempt to build a 12k growroom

I just ordered 2 5 disc foggers. Hopefully that'll do something..If I connect the humidity and cool settings on my climate controller, the intake and exhaust fans will turn on only when the room needs to be cooled. The rest of the time, the foggers can be active in the room, increasing the humidity..The fans stay on for about 10 minutes, and then off for about 10 minutes when they turn on, so hopefully that amount of time will let the humidity rise a bit...

I feel very hopeless right now. lol. I've never lost a crop, or even a single plant.

I feel your pain man. I just installed a few bare bulbs and my lights on drops to 55%.
When I saw DHF post in your thread about putting the fogger in the lung room it kind of blew my plans.
I was going to add another 1K bare in the room, but now Im planning to run my duct over to cool it so I can at least hope for 50%
Maybe when you have some large buds it will keep it up a bit.
Perhaps you will be able to stagger your harvest to keep some buds in the room for awhile until you can section off a lung room or something.

Yea..I dont recall ever reading anywhere about lung rooms except when one lung room was used to keep A/C + Co2 and then pumped into multiple rooms according to their needs...

I always saw Cold Fresh air in - - - > Hot Stinky Air Out.

But then again, not everyone lives in the Sahara.

Okay, I got the humidity up to 70% by spraying water everywhere..All over the walls, floor, etc.

I unplugged 5 of the lights, and turned the other 7 down to 50%... Temperature is 74*f, 70%rh.

All of my intake and exhaust fans are unplugged. I think i'll just turn them on manually every couple hours to cycle the air, and then respray everything down with water to bump the humidity up..

The plants do look ALOT better since yesterday..Alot of the plants that looked like they were about to go super limp perked back up a bit. The leaves still arent flat and perky like solar panels, but they are better. I suppose i'll just have to sacrifice the Fresh O2 in exchange for a dialed environment until my foggers get here. By then there should be a decent amount of foliage in the room, along with the two foggers...Should be able to start turning more lights and fans on...

Then, after 3 weeks, Im confident that with the 2 foggers and all of my plants budding, I'll be able to keep rh above 40%, where im comfortable. Maybe even at 50%, who knows..

Anyways, crisis averted for the time being.

Heres the GSC, two seconds after waking up...still really droopy, definately the worst one

Also, i diluted my res down to .6EC (300 ppm), 5.6ph. Gave a 20 second feed.

Runoff comes out at 6.1ph, .7EC (360 ppm)

Hey Dabs....The first thing needed once yas got some cash in the budget will be a ultrasonic disc pond fogger or hydrofogger.com to keep Humidity @ 70 % till end of stretch , and then as low below 50% till end of cycle to help prevent airborn pathogens from getting a foothold in the room durin late swellage.....

Air exchange twice per minute plus wall fans creating a "vortex" of air all around the plants but never on em helps to keep airborn pathogens from being able to form......That`s how the big room guys on the left coast do it.....and....

The best kept secret is how the one`s that "claim" they run sealed w/CO2 , actually run major exhaust during lights off to suck out excess humidity from big plants transpiring , as well as all the excess CO2 the plants shit out that they didn`t use/metabolize during lights on.....now.....

Your plant placement may be 5 x 30 w/12KW , but your room`s 9 x 30 , and that`s what determines the amount of watts per sq ft you`re runnin , so instead of 80 per your actually only runnin 44.44.....and.....

Yas can wrap the walls and ceilings with reflectix/prodex/orca of your choice when budget permits to bounce those lost lumens up , down , and all around the room to improve dramatically lumen penetration/plant absorption.....

44.44 ain`t bad while yas dial environment during lights on and off along with the right strains for bare bulb setups......anyways....

5 ton minisplit and sealed w/CO2 for 12KW , or air exchange twice per minute with lung areas that have a/c on thermostats to condition air being pumped into and sucked out of the rooms 24/7.....

Just tryin ta help from all those yrs Bro.....Not tryin ta shove shit down your throat or tell yas what to do......Only what works when the budget provides and yas figure out the way yas wanna roll.......

Good luck and holler if I can help , but.....I understand if yas leave....Hell....I`ve deleted my account here more times than I can count due to fucktard know-it-alls that didn`t know dick , but.....

I get several pm`s a day from newb`s that`re too intimidated to post in the bigger threads , so just wanted yas to know that even though this thread got shit on , guaranteed you`re helpin folks , so for that I thank yas for your time......

The older I get , the more I realize that helpin folks is what it`s all about....

Peace....DHF.....:ying:.....

i have soo much love and respect for u and yet we have never met :)

thanks for being u

Hell....Those plants are big enough to sustain decent RH levels in the grow area IF and WHEN yas can get em ta start drinkin and sweatin again WITH dialed room conditions .....and yeah....

They`re taco`in like a mofo , so getting the RH up is a good thingy even if it`s temporary , but still.....nutrient uptake needs to occur as transpiration increases for the plants to get in their "circadian rythm" to suck juice AND sweat it out into the room`s atmosphere that WILL keep RH up with dialed ambient lights on AND off temps....

IOW....keep the feed sequences backed down till they start drinkin and sweatin and putting out new foliage and.....You`ll be back on track in no time with your foggers , so keep dialin my buddy....

I've been going in there every hour or so, and turning on one of the intake fans and one of the exhausts...takes about a minute for the humidity to drop down to 50%...temperatures drop about a degree, but are sitting constant at 76*f with 7 of them at 50%...

After I turn the fans off, it takes about 15 minutes but the rh creeps back up to 65%. I havent sprayed the walls in over two hours, and they are dry in most parts...

I'll keep monitoring it until the foggers get here...Settin alarms all night to get up and go down there. whatever it takes.

I have a big ass swamp cooler, and Im kinda toying with the idea of making a circular flow of air using my whole basement...

Set all of my carbon filters on one end, pulling air from my grow into my shop...Then in between my shop and my veg room, underneath the stairs i could put my swamp cooler, blowing air into my veg room...This is where I would put my foggers.... From their I could have my 12'' intake fan pulling the swamp cooled, and fogged air into the other end of the flower room, and have my 8'' fan up in the window for extra cooling if and when necessary...

Its an idea..lmk DHF, you're the pro :dance013::dance013:

Thanks for your help man, I appreciate it

Depends on how much of said area you plan to grow in , but rule of thumb has always been lung area`s always equal to the sq ftg of all grow areas involved....in my case...

I had side by side fliprooms that had outside dimensions of 8x16 , but the enclosed areas averaged 12x30 , and the clone and pre-veg cabs only took up 10 sq ft so my lung areas were waaay overkill , but overkill`s underrated......so....

360-138=222 sq ft of pre-conditioned "perfect environment" bein pumped in and sucked out of 72 sq ft inside dimensions of the fliprooms twice per min FTW.....

Any other questions about anything other than Dabs setup , please hit me in pm so as ta not clog up the thread ....

Hi DHF - Sent you a PM. Trying to size my intake/exhaust of my room, also going to add a Y after the main exhaust fan which which will allow some heated exhaust air to be recirculated into the studio (lung) room. Volume of both spaces is about the same 450 cu feet each more or less. I plan to have dampers on the Y and backflow check valves at the inlet to the lung room and prior to the exhaust fan. I want to use check valves where it makes sense in order to avoid any possibilities of unwanted feedbacks in the system.

I'm making most of the ventilation ducting runs myself out of luan, styrofoam, and furring strips... Should be able to build at least 8x14 ducting into the FR which runs zig zaggy underneath the floor joists and between them. Going to sound insulate the ducting as well but plan to use wood instead of flex hose.

any insight or make-sure-you-take-advantage-of-construction-time-to-do-this-now-or-your-missing-a-great-opportunity type comments?

Thanks much, and sorry to distract from this kind gentlemen's thread.

Think I told yas to start a thread so others can help and learn in that pm McKush....If yas did , please post a link so I can go look , but what you posted sounds solid....Never built any ductwork so dunno.....now Dabs....

Swamp coolers work well to supplement RH in dry/arid environments.....Pretty sure Josey Wales still uses em where he lives in southwest hell....and....The idea sounds good , but unfortunately the only wayta find out is ta do it and see....and yeah....

By the time yas get RH dialed , stretch`ll prolly be close ta over , but watch out next run cuz it`ll be ON.....anyways....KInda warm today before a storm so a fishin I`m a goin......
