Durban crosses are always fire! Power Africa by seedsman is one of my favorite strains.

I would pull up a chair if you were running that cross Sub.

thanks for your support!! I´ll keep that in mind, I´m also a big fan of the Durban Sativa, I grew out some CBG Durbans last year which were absolutely connoisseur stuff!! I´m busy with some Narkush (Pakistan) and Hash Passion (Morocco) include some new ACE strains atm hehe but it´s def a good suggestion for the future, thx :tiphat:

I take all my pics with my phone and it has a little white balance function on there. I can set it to incandescent but that's about as much as I fool with it. I think I even did it with those pics but they were still so orange it was hard to make out so I did the black and white. Thanks for the heads up though

If it does have a white balance adjust, take a white sheet of paper, put it under the hps light, hit the button to adjust white balance and take a pic of the white paper. It should balance the white paper color (with the added yellow glow) as the new "white" negating all yellow hps glow.

I've 3 males topped to harvest with the bottoms revegging...

I've also got a sour bubble male in an isolation chamber with sour dubb, but thats in the flower room.

I hadnt fully decided on what will get pollinated, but I intend to hit a few things.

Seaf0ur - love those isolation tanks! Just what I was looking for. Any further info on how you do this? Thanks.

Personnaly I do this :

picture.php

I put males (or males + females) into the malebox and I harvest the pollen after 3-4 weeks... and then like artists, I work with a paint brush to pollinate...

The hardest part is not having too much moisture in the box, that's why I made openings that I covered with a filter for kitchen hood. It works very well and I have no accidental pollination (or at least not too much)... :)

If I need place to put some other girls into the box, I remove the malebox and put it in front of a window, it works nice too... you can find these boxes at Ikea... ;)

I hope it helps, vibzzz... :tiphat:

Thanks for showing us your technique to isolate the male pollen SeaFour. I'll defo be trying this out. I too just cut some branches off the male I won't pollen from and leave in a cup of water and collect pollen as the flowers open. :tiphat:
Peace

As alot of you may know, if you want the real cheese you need the Brightside cut. There's so many cuts of cheese about plus every seed bank has their version of it.
I remember smoking real cheese late 90s early 2000s and for me it's some of the tastiest weed about. Now all the cheese that is sold is absolutely terrible and most of the seed banks cheese is watered down skunk.
So my cheese quest was on to bring out a consistently reliable cheese in seed form.

So I've started by crossing the clone only cut Psychosis to a UGORG #1 male. Psychosis is very cheesey/skunky but lacking some vigour now due to being so old and is probably many generations away from the original.
So I've just germinated 20 psychosis x UGORG #1 hoping to get about 50/50 male-female and selecting the best male and female to start the process off. I'll cross these two F1s to give me f2s to start back crossing and breeding out any undesirable traits. I'm testing some cross's now with the UGORG male and it seems to be a good stud passing on solid skunk/cheese traits, just some of the phenos seem better. So with the back crossing I'll try an breed out the weaker genes.
If your planning on doing your own cross's it's best to have some type of goal, that way there is always a purpose to why your doing what your doing. Having a clear direction is the best way to creating new cultivars.

If anyone can give me any tips they'll be warmly received.
Peace

Ive got an album for my larger isolation chamber... but those are literally just the top half of plants I stuck in flower, then chopped, revegging the bottoms and the tops went in water, over some pieces of paper, under cloning domes that are raised up on dvd cases to keep stale air from hanging around, but not a lot of air movement to blow things around

I've got 3 of my own hybrids finishing off now and I don't usually blow my own trumpet, but this stuff has got me so excited as I know it's straight fire top shelf Dank. 1st is a HSO blue dream mum that's was very short bushy and very sweet smelling leaning towards the B.B which I hit with a gogi og male snow lotus pheno. I've got 4 plants all very similar in look except one is much shorter than the other 3 and this one is also the frostiest. All start with a og piney smell with sweet fruity over tones, buds are much tighter due to the gogi with nice branching and structure from the B.D. Flying lotus I'll call the cross.

2nd cross I'm finishing off for the 1st run is Gogi og f2 x UGORG #1. I wanted to make a nice og cheese cross and gosh this has blown me away with one of the phenos looking like some of the frostiest Dankest bud I've seen to date, I've grown around 200 strains so that's saying something. I know I'm biased but I don't usually blow my own trumpet. The keeper pheno will be the Base for my project. I've got 20 psychosis x UGORG #1 that I'll select a male from and introduce some skunky cheese spunk to the line. F2s will be made, then a process of cubing and back crossing to stabilise the desired traits. Already the cross is fire, I just want better branching now with a bit less stretch and to make a stable cultivar in seed.

3rd cross I'm finishing for the 1st run is another project I started to make a strain called cheese n biscuits, making a nice cross of GSC and cheese. I used my GSC mum from Cali connection which was very nice, looked similar to the OGKB.2 (chunkey pigs said that) and I hit her up with some pollen from a UGORG #1 male that was very branchy and vigorous with a strong skunk cheese stink to the stem when rubbed. I was confident in the GSC and the other cross's with her I did came out great but the Ugorg male wasn't tried n tested yet. It's always worrying doing your own cross's as the genetics may not mix and you end up with garbage. I was needing the Ugorg male to be good as I'd filled 2 thirds of a room with my own cross's and I'd just had some recent bad luck. Looking at the cross in the last week of flush has got me really excited now. There's a real cheese stench mixed with the baked cookie smell now coming off these and some of the phenos have really filled in. The ganja gods have really smiled on me and gifted me with some awesome hybrids. I'd love to enter some into a competition as I think there's some top shelf in these genetics.

Hey

My freeze was with 2 skunk and i flip the skunk on 12/12 .... so that little freezeland seedling pass barely a week under 12/12. Guess what it's a male, so i'll prolly chuck him on my skunk. :tiphat:
