It was last year. So not a new story. But, they keep pushing this on the kids anyway...

So instead of teaching them to be accepting 9f others you think we should teach them to hate?
They are teaching hate. Hatred of white people. Hatred of those who think independently. Hatred of America. I could go on. Nobody is teaching kids to hate trans people. Either way, this is not the purpose of public education (or, is it?).

How is not being allowed to even discuss the subject of trans children teaching any level of acceptance for a trans child?

Because it is inappropriate. Besides, why not just go straight to pedophile story hour. Pedos are marginalized. Let's not waste time teaching math and science (they won't need those skills anyway *sarcasm). All they really need to know is that transexuality is for kids and is super-duper fun. And if you don't like it you are a 'transphobe' and that is super-duper bad.

Gee, I wonder why the number of kids identifying as trans or 'non-binary' is skyrocketing...

The educational system, dating as far back as I can remember has always been in place to make the gears mesh for the economy. It is too bad our society is run by morons like Biden and Trump et al who believe that a growing economy is where it is at. A sustainable economic structure would put the brakes on most of the problems in the US and globally.

I agree that gender/sexual education has no place in public schooling but neither does parental interference or religious values.

Reading, language, math, science, engineering along with a healthy dose of history should be the only base for schooling. All the other crap like sports and social shit only causes trouble.

My guess is that for the most part we are a less hateful society than we used to be. And trans people used to be far more afraid to come out.

Why does it matter to you if a child is wants to be treated fairly regardless of if the identity the way you choose for them or not?

Public school has always been about socializing you more than teaching you.

Because its child abuse. Just let them be kids. They don’t need to know half the country would support them if they decided to chop their dick off. maybe it’d be a healthy choice to let your body and brain fully develop before you start fucking with all your hormone levels?

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I have mixed perspectives. Recently I became aware of a young teen who has come out as trans and has chosen a name used by a trans individual on a popular TV show. I do wonder if some of this is fad based...searching, craving for attention, popularity.

I'm also aware of individuals truly born in a mixed up form.

You act like people are just rushing out to change their child's gender. I would guess this is a huge situation for any family. I cannot claim to totally understand it myself. But if my child was not comfortable in their own body I would not want them to suffer socially because somebody else is even less comfortable.

I don't think this kind of thing should be taught in school other than to respect others. Fact is people can be born with several varieties of not all the way male or female. And people have hormone imbalances also. It's not easy to categorize as most of us were taught.

As for boys using the girl room and that type of behavior. I'll admit it does make me uncomfortable. But the fact is that everything to be afraid of is already against the rules. If a child uses the restroom appropriately nobody even notices the physical gender and everyone is fine.

As far as trans in sports. I think this is only a tiny portion of the issue and it unfortunate that it seems a few people have taken advantage of the situation. Most trans people are not looking to take advantage of anything. They just want to be treated fairly.

I do think there could be a fad aspect to it for some people.
