When it comes to jobs, we lose some and we gain some as the world engulfs new technology. There was a big battle over the use of whirlybird for the finishing of concrete. They can do the job of many men. Should we stop advancing in exchange for creating more jobs ? Hunting and gathering was once our main job. After we learned to hunt. Now we do it for sport. Perhaps we should be living in caves.

Oh please. It was the first thing Joe did was cancel the pipeline.
Best idea ever! That pipeline was nothing but an environmental disaster waiting to happen. Not to mention the people who'd land it was destroying.
For that one thing alone Joe is a hero!

Complexly agree. Conservatives cheering the Feds seizing people's private property to build the pipeline so they can have the illusion of cheaper gas. Plus the pipeline jobs were temporary. Once the pipeline would have been completed those welding and buildings jobs would vanish. A few hundred is all that would have stayed employed to keep an eye on the pipeline.
So all the jobs are gone? Plenty of work besides pipelines.

You may or may not know the disruption caused by losing a job and moving to find a new one. I do, having worked for several companies over the years that closed the doors. You will never recover your loses and generally have to start over again at a lower pay. Thanks Pedo Joe.
Your frustrations are misplaced. I'm going to go eat some acid and hug a tree on your behalf.

Well I'm retired so.......
vast majority of workers in jobs like pipeline construction are typically transient workers that move regularly. those jobs just ended ahead of schedule. your "sympathy/outrage" is both cynical/political motivated and misplaced as hell. JMHO

Yes they are temp but union jobs and it is their normal mode of work. They would have been working but now aren't. They would have been making money to pay taxes with. And then there's the vaccine mandates from Biden that is getting half the Fed work force fired along with police, fie dept, hospital workers......
The only way the jobs numbers look so good as Biden ran them to the bottom.
