Crash When You Quit?

Wondering if anyone else crashes when they quit smoking (temporarily, of course)? Every year or so, I quit for a couple months, to give my lungs a break ,and clear out my head. I am in one of these phases now until the next harvest. I have the following symptoms when I crash:
extreme fatigue-ready to lie down and fall asleep at any moment.
Extremely frequent & vivid dreams when I am asleep, and I remember them when I wake up.
Stiff and achy joints-cannabis seems to have an anti inflammatory effect on me, making my joints (no, not those joints:)) loose and flexible.
Also, not nearly as horny.

I have noticed this for many years (been smoking for 40).
Anyone else?

ah, you make me feel better about never taking a break, lol! i vape or eat when the lungs need a break. any time i quit i have endless vivid dreams that keep me from sleeping soundly. i don't get the fatigue, but plenty of irritability. unless i am travelling and out of weed, i just don't bother anymore. I used to wonder if it made anything better to take a break but finally concluded, nope, nothing is better sober.

LOL!
The dream thing would tend to suggest that smoking somehow interferes with normal REM sleep, or is it that you just don't remember you dreams because of stoner memory?
My dreams are really intense right now. It's like going to a Fellini movie every night when I go to bed. I dream about people I haven't though about since childhood. Too wierd.

Welcome to your brain working properly again. Very few stoners I know can actually dream when they consistently smoke.

"Maybe your less horny cause you are like 55-60 years old. LOL EVER THINK OF THAT?"

No, that's not it. I'm still horny, just not quite as much. When I smoke, I get super horny. It's like Viagra for me.....helps when I'm bangin' 19 year olds...

Still haven't figured out how to do that "green quotes thingy".

Do they not dream, or do they not remember their dreams?
Could be a research project here...

I think it's just a short-term memory thing - I never remember my dreams unless I get up for a few minutes and go back to bed - being slighltly awake seems to 'switch' on the record function, and then I can remember them. But most of my dreams used to be (still are when I remember them) endless re-runs of frustration-based issues, being late for planes, trains, etc., not getting where I wanted to be. I never seem to be able to stop thinking, so dreaming on top of that would be, well, a nightmare!

Frankly, I'm happier not remembering them - I just go to sleep, and wake up the next day, and it's a complete blank - I love it...:)

it's not the memory, as pot doesn't effect mine much. i think it actively supresses dreaming, that's why you have more dreams if you sleep late-as the weed finally wears off.

Cannabis is known to keep users from dreaming (REM inhibitor). It's funny you mention the clarity of your dreams and having them about people from long ago; the same thing happens to me.

I am also in a no smoke stage until harvest. I have only taken a few of these breaks in my 36 years of smoking herb.
I can relate to the dream thing for sure! I can just doze off and have the most vivid and weird dreams. In fact I was just mentioning to my lovely female unit how I have been having so many dreams that I can fully recollect. I always have been a dreamer, but they are in overdrive now.

Hmmmm....maybe you only remember the dream you had just before you awakened....and those from earlier in your sleep are forgotten.

I think some sleep researchers should be paying us to smoke weed and record the results of our dreams. I just don't want to be in the control group!

im in a no smoking phase, my tolerance is too high, been that way for a while i just been putting off smoking. i knew i needed to quit when i smoked a whole 1/4 in a day and barely had any buzz. nothing noticable anyway, just the sluggish cbd effects. since i quit my sleep hasnt improved any, in fact nothings really changed cept i have the crazy ass dreams i used to have in my teen years, so vivid. i dreamt last night about a good friend of mine i havent seen in like 3-4 years. but he was robbing me at gun point for some reason lol. insanity. plus there was some time travelling guy from the future and some guys also time travelling to kill him or something. like i said insanity.

Not on a break, thanks heavens, and I dream every night, we all do, remembering them is an entirely different thing. And I do remember the intense dreams on a break, maybe they are enhanced by the sobriety, seems plausable.

I dream serial dreams all night, I wake up every hour or so, and piss then go back to sleep, the dreams begin and I continue working out whatever crazy shit needs fixing. I am usually quite relieved to wake up and realize that bullshit is not real

Horny? Do a date search on what is available in the 55 year old categories, that will wilt yer horns baby.

That is wierd, i thought it was just me with the vivid dreams. I have to quit for probation and im starting to remember dreams more frequently. It really hasn't been of people i havent seen in years, but places i haven't been in years, and the first few ones i got into fights with people, it was weird.

All my life i never remembered my dreams unless they were a nightmare or a weird sex dream. After about 20 years of hard puffing, i cleaned out, and had major nightmares every night for a couple months. But that came once it had been a few days. I often get the no-pot insomnia.

And the agitation and quick temper that comes from a physical jones.
