i read the article in The Atlantic, and that is what IT said. duh.

ummm...do you believe everything you read? or merely misconstrue it. duh. asking out of curiosity...😏 not picking here, i read The Atlantic myself...and a whole lot more. plus, i read that very article myself, and the "racism" you "claim" caused the problem is systemic because of lack of access to proper health care due to economic factors, not racism as thought of by ordinary people. very disingenuous...

yes! i selected what was important and most prominently discussed.

as in "cherry picked" and "taken out of proper context" to come up with a different conclusion. claiming "racism" to dilute claims of ACTUAL racism...lol. "see! EVERYTHING is because "racism"..."

In any society, the least fortunate generally suffer the most, while we would wish that ours might be the exception, that is a work in progress.

They did however have far better results with the virus than did most locations.
Had thought the thread was about the national response to the virus rather than an
individual response.

I approve. You disapprove. Now what? Do you want to vote again?

apparently that is how some people think reality is determined and what the facts are. vote on it, and when one side loses (as nearly always happens in an election), they get to have their "alternate facts"...regardless of the vote. sounds less than practical or convincing.

Fifth COVID-19 Vaccine Shot May Be Needed In Fall: FDA Official

https://www.zerohedge.com/covid-19/fifth-covid-19-vaccine-shot-may-be-needed-fall-fda-official

Hours after the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized a fourth shot of the Moderna and Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines for all Americans 50 and older, an FDA official said a fifth shot may be needed in the fall.

“I don’t want to shock anyone but there may be a need for people to get an additional booster in the fall, along with a more general booster campaign if that takes place, because we may need to shift over to a different variant coverage,” Dr. Peter Marks, head of the FDA center that regulates vaccines, told reporters on a call on March 29.

Can't recall how many tetanus shots I have had, nor do think it matters a great deal as long as I am current.
Feel the same with this. Going in for the most recent booster this afternoon.
They are safe, they are effective and they work. Much like an N 95 mask and social distancing.

I bet I haven't had a tetanus shot for 40 years. When you get cut almost daily and take minimal attention to minor ones, the body takes care of itself. Axle grease is a good temporary wound covering.

weird right? i still haven't had smallpox,or polio,or tetanus...true story, all those vaccines were "experimental" at one point...and no dumb asses felt the need to sit in traffic on the beltway to protest them!

Before tetanus vaccinations people used to die from tetanus. Those same people who (like yourself) used to get cut daily when many of us worked manually. Unvaccinated people still die of it. Just because you haven't had it means nothing.

You really are an idiot, and I hope no one takes your health advice.
