Hey there DoubleJJ, Long time no see or hear.
Tell your wife that is time to quitt the celebrations...IT IS ONLY A FOOTBALL GAME! (Just kiddin). Tell her congrats for the NY win.
I can't beleive how well your plants came out. I only had one plant do real well (about 30 ounces of dried bud) and 2 that grew up fairly well (about 1/2 lb each). I realy don't understand why that sour diesel plant managed to grow so big while the 2 BB-NLs didn't. I had to do a lot of nurturing to revive them after being in the hospital longer than planned. 1 died, and the Hawaiian never recovered and ended with about 2 OZ on pop-corn buds that were very weak. I ended up cutting everything down on Oct. 16th because of a hard freeze coming that night. The BB-NLs had nice big buds that truethfully smelled like grapes with the bud-leaves turning a nice purple tint...I don't understand why the pistels didn't get any purple??? It smelled too good to turn into butter so i kept it back. The butter was the only way for me to survive the chemo...GIANT THANK-YOU to all who fought to make MMJ a reality!
I am sorry that i disapeared for so long. My brother crashed my hard-drive while changing the battery on the mother board in July and i started 20 weeks of chemo right after that which made me not even care about a computer untill recently. I just hope that the cancer is gone. They won't tell me anything untill they do more scans in May. I even screwed-up and missed the date to renew my license but am getting that fixed now.
I love that drip system of watering. I will look into finding more info on how to build one cheep for this year.
What exactly is a good bug killer that you can put in the mister? Is it worth the cost? Are there other options? I was told that you can't use anything but neam oil on them...is there any trueth in that?
We have about the same weather trouble as the guy from AZ was mentioning in this thread, EXTREME sun and violent wind storms. All of the zip ties were crumbeling by Halloween, but the extra clothes line REALY HELPS by keeping the plastic from blowing around. https://www.icmag.com/ic/picture.php?albumid=29433&pictureid=659116
I also used the clothes-line (about $3 at local farm suply) over the plastic and shade cloth. The shade cloth still feels suppel and ready for next year. I ran out of clothes line about 2/3 the way going over the plastic and cloth and used cheep rope...that rope started to fall apart in Sept.. Do not bring a red car to Colorado...it will turn orange from the UV.
I thank-you VERY much DoubleJJ for taking all of the time and energy to put together these great grow diaries. The info you have shared has helped me (and i am certain MANY others) go from no idea on modern growing into the certainly possible grow room proficient. This was the first time i grew any since the mid 80s. The plants would not have made it at all with-out what you (and some others on this forum) had shared of your vast knowlage, and i doubt i would have survived the chemo with-out you man...thank-you again and please keep up the great work.
