First,,, China had "coloir revolution", Hong Kong Fooey style,,, in blatant attempt to pry it away from mainland,,, now another crisis,,, since the attempt to force an incident failed the first time

since the US is a country that has persecuted a reporter (Assange) for 10+ years for reporting honestly about America's Terror War - I certainly don't expect them to report honestly about the Wu virus.

I do trust the virus to act like a virus, and it's qualities have been described in pretty good detail.

How many of those people that flew out of Hubei and surrounding provinces into US airports, that last week of January - how many of them are of Asian descent ?

The supply chain is pretty fragile here in America. It wouldn't be a bad idea to have what you will need anyways within the next couple months. The biggest vulnerability is truck transportation, with maybe 2-3 days supply if they stop rolling. Less as panic sets in.

Like I've said in a previous post, I don't believe for a second that the numbers coming out of China are accurate and there is panic in their response which is concerning for sure. I do however, find some consolation in the fact that to this point we are not seeing drastic jumps in infected people outside of China and people are not dropping like flies.



I am concerned for sure but cautiously optimistic. If we start seeing sudden jumps like I noted above in North America, UK etc, then I will start stocking up on non perishables if it isnt too late.


Fingers crossed they get this under control.

Holy chit I have some RC quad batteries inbound from China, and now you got me wondering whether the virus can remain dormant on the surface of everyday items, for weeks or months.

Generally speaking the danger posed by the Corona virus is greatly increased by the fact that the Chinese are overflowing out of their vastly overpopulated homeland, to colonize any land they can find on the planet outside of mainland China.

As an example, Africa will in a decade or less, be known unofficially as Greater China, going by the tidal wave of Chinese nationals swarming over there to plunder the forests for timber, poison the rivers with arsenic used to mine for gold, and ship over gambling machines that target African children, turning them into gambling addicts, and encouraging them to quit school and steal from their parents to feed the gambling machines more coins.

Ironically, Africa is today Feb 12th 2020, the only continent that is unaffected by this new plague, but when it does kick off, the effect there could be orders of magnitude worse than anywhere else.

A sign like that could backfire and lead to forcible quarantine. Fear of the men in hazmat suits, is the beginning of wisdom.

No, I don't do crack, and don't appreciate that suggestion. I am concerned, I do interrogate data and I do my own research rather than asking for it to be spoon fed. Anything I've stated, there is a good case for believing. However I added the caveat of "looks like". Do your own research, but if your research tells you that there's nothing to worry about, either we are getting information from different sources, or have different competency levels when it comes to comprehension of large data sets.
I truly hope you are better at this than I am.

I'm someone who spent a week in intensive care the last time I got the standard flu, and there's an elderly person and a child in the family.
The virus can survive for 9 days on surfaces like door handles supermarket shelves etc. Up to 3 weeks for symptoms, and you're contagious throughout. Once you get rid of it, you can catch it again. Recovery to death rates are you've got a 70% chance of surviving. Not a 97% chance as advertised. Survival should increase as treatment improves, but pray you get it early while treatment is available.
I really hope I get to read mikell taking the piss out of me next year.

I doubt this is an escaped bio weapon, anymore than SARS, Ebola, Spanish Flu, Legionnaires and all the rest.

The stock market is assuming this thing is no big deal and they tend to get things right. I am not so sure though. Still worried.
