Corinto, ka5h and haze cross

Sticky that does sound tempting. Definitely going to watch your grow and see how it ends up. My grow is shaping up pretty good though. I’ve uppotted all three corintos and am going to flip to 12 soon. Come on male and female corinto.

I had what I consider a very close call with fire... The other night I turned on my flower led, mars hydro 6500. I haven’t used it since about July. The plug was very warm then, almost hot. Not hot enough to have mars hydro support fix under warrantee unfortunately. I felt the plug after turning it on a few days ago and it was now HOT. I could only touch the plug for maybe 10-20 seconds and I would get mild burn on my skin. Oh shit.... I unplug, turn off and start taking apart the connector. The white wire has turned a mild brownish color in one place. This connector has four places where wires go into the connector and are tightened down by a screw, four in total. All four screws were loose. Reconnected the wires properly and screwed down. Now its an acceptable temp, though warmer than the identical veg light. Be careful everyone. Check your electrical connections!!! If I wouldn’t have checked the connector and left it on overnight, that likely would have resulted in a fire. I suspect it came from the factory connected improperly and the last two grows it slowly became more and more loose. Hopefully it is good now....

All plants uppotted and growing into their new fabrics. Little different soil mix so hoping it’s better. I’ve been watering with cal mag twice a week now. The best plants by far in this are the TMH.

Here is the first of them. Not sure what all is dominant in this one. This uppotted soil has more ewc so hoping for a greener plant.

@exoticrobotic yes I’m going to crank up the HPS at some point. My setup is a 4x8 one side the massive mars led and other my 600 w hps. Light from the hps doesn’t really hit the led side and vice verse. So.. unless I want to move my plants or re hang lights I’m not sure what is best. I am thinking of moving a few plants under the hps. So far my led grows have been disappointing.

This morning I’m thinking what to grow next. I’ll veg it and then Move to the hps side of the flower tent and turn on the hps. It’ll be cold and winter by then and will be needed.

I’ve got some Oaxacan I tried to grow but had to stop. Think I’ll sprout them.

Welcome @KAGNCHA . No PR pictures this grow but some nice corintos and ace gear. The stretch is on! All plants going bonkers. Last night I looked for balls and pistils. No pistils yet but I found balls! I’m struck again by a quick shooting young male. 5 days into 12/12 this thing opened up likely one cluster. The pollen doesn’t look like it escaped, it mostly fell on the stem. Can you have seeds with lack of visible pistils? Doesn’t seem like it. The male was a TMH and is removed from the tent. No sign of pistils anywhere. I was thinking I may have a few more males. Time will tell. Well wishes to all.

Below front and right is ka5h. Right and back is another ka5h. In between is a TMH, though hard to see obviously. Far back middle by the white pole is a corinto that had cal issues early on but is doing well now. Next to that on the left is a TMH. Front left are two more corintos.

About the same though this shows the two corintos on the left better.

This one front right is ka5h. Front middle is a great view of a TMH. Front far left you can barely make out the other Ka5h. The back right is that cal corinto. Under the electric cord is a TMH and leftish is another corinto.

The two others show the open pollen sacks. Is five days from flip quick like I Think??Normal?

Welcome aliceklar. I gathered pollen from a few males of the mm x hz 21and one was about the same timing. Very very early. Now I’m debating gather pollen and hit the ka5h. Then I would have ka5h x (ka5h x (mm x hz 21)).

Corinto is supposed to be landrace sativa from Columbia. It is narrow leaf and really all I know at this point.

My mars light got hot again and I pulled the plug on it. I moved my plants to the other side of the tent and fired up the hps. I’ve started the process for a new connector and will return the plants to led once it’s installed and safe. I’m not sure how this may affect the plants.

I’ve also come to the conclusion I have to flower much earlier than I am. My tent is a jungle. Still no signs of pistils or balls, except that fast one.

If your sativas are reluctant to flower, might be worth bringing the photoperiod down to 11/13. That's worked for me with landrace sativas before.
Worrying about the light. Glad you caught it in time.

Tonight is rearrange of the tent and trim of larf. I’m going to take some time to get some photos. First up... TMH females. Two of three are females and I’m going to flower under LEDs as they have not stretched as much as others. The ka5h mother was also shorter and didn’t stretch as much. The male is in the veg tent, it still in flowering mode.

Two TMH females, uncut.

Didn’t get real far tonight. Trimmed up the TMH and started on one of the Ka5h. Those TMH smell like the mm hz line. Strong heavy wintergreen/spearmint. good and strong. I think this is the Thai influence but not certain.

This Ka5h is stretching pretty well. No smell yet. Pretty excited I’ve got a clone of it. I’ve decided to hit one of these ka5h with TMH pollen. Illl have something more ka5h heavy.

This update is my corintos. Three fine ladies. A big tall stretched plant under HPS. Another medium sized mostly under hps but some led . This one has not taken to the watering system. The leaves are all clawed but the bottom is bone dry. Not sure why on this one. I adjusted the wicks and am hoping that is it. Last one is shorter and totally under led. It fell a bit and I’ve tied it up now. Corinto stems are very weak but not the other plants with the same soil. Overall... doing great.

Hey sticky. It’s kind of strange. Thinking this strain needs more silica maybe. Dunno. Next round I grow I’m going to add silica if things don’t finish well this round. I still have a bunch of corinto beans and want to find a male.

Any rate, the TMH are on fire! Looks like they got a fast flowering gene and I’m guessing they are somewhat haze leaners. Leaves do look fairly thin though. Two images below I captured TMH leaves and ka5h leaves. You can see thinner in the TMH. I’m stoked about this cross and hoping it really is fire.

Greetings. I haven’t update the ka5h in a while so here is. Two nice ladies flowering under 600 w hps. One is further along flowering than the other. No smells yet but my olfactory glands are not the best. Both plants are good and strong, in fine shape. These were not topped, but bent for a while to let side branches catch up. This round I needed to bend longer but plants are good nonetheless. I’ll have more than plenty of good bud.

In the background of most pictures is a towering corinto ive tied down to a manageable level.

Plants are all flowering along nicely. Oddly enough my corintos lower leaves are beginning to yellow. Not my ka5hs though or my crosses. I would have thought the landrace wouldn’t use up N faster than hybrids. I picked up a liquid nute for flowering and put some on tonight the two corintos, but not my ka5hs. I am hopeful for this product as it also has calcium . No more cal needed I hope.

I took a few ka5h shots here. One is flowering great and the other is slower and not as much yield so far. Hopefully it’s just a slow flowering and it will pick up in yield. Both plants are very healthy at least.

The first image below left side is the faster higher yielding ka5h. In the middle with curled leaves is a corinto. Right side is the slower flowering lower yielding ka5h.

Good luck with the Corintos. I agree it is weird for a landrace to show more N hunger than hybrids. That doesnt sound right at all. Are you sure the yellowing is a symptom of N deficiency, and not something else? I've had landrace plants respond with similar curling leaves when they were being *overfed*....

Ka5h looking great. Would like to have a go at growing them some time.

Hi Aliceklar. Good points. I assumed low N but you may be right. Not certain. I’ll get some images when the light is on. The curled leaves I think you are right there. Leaves are dark dark green and I think this is the issue.

Ka5h is a pretty good strain. Not bad to grow, good hitting. I’ve got one more seed and a clone left of the ka5h. I’m going to cob most of these up.

I threw my back out last night lifting a bag of soil. Sooooo much pain. Not fun.
