Has been in 12/12 since 8th October.

Was hoping for purple genetics but i sincerely appreciate what lady luck brought me.

Effects: Excellent sativa high - energetic - functional - laser pointed focus -

Great way to start a very productive day.

Tastes like very fresh berries + fruity.

Small lower bud was already sampled & it's very strong already.

Dubi, how long do you recommend I wait before harvest..?

I grew the purple phenotype.
For me, it has a crystal clear, focused and happy effect while it gives me some extra energy without nervousness, anxiety, or munchies. Perfect for concentrated work in an office, crafting, going for a walk or doing sports with an elevated spirit.

I am wondering how it compares practically to Ethiopian in terms of the quality of the high and its duration, because my growing skills are far from perfect till now and I killed the last Ethiopians.

Will grow this nice plant again, for sure.

The grow did not go particularly well.
For all the stress the plant was exposed to (thrips invasion, over-fertilization and soil that was too moist for about 10 days as a result of flushing), I'm surprised that I got it through. The feminized plant didn't twitter either.
However, I have now found a reliable solution for the thrips and I am getting used to the slower drying pots by switching from high-pressure gas discharge lamps to LEDs. Now I just have to find the right fertilization scheme for soil.

Does anyone have any tips on which EC the Congo tolerates well in soil without the soil becoming too salty? I need to avoid rinsing as much as possible at the current temperatures.

Gracias a ti @strain_hunter for your support and positive feedback glad you are enjoying with the effects described for this strain. Congo is a much easy to grow strain than pure Ethiopians, although the Ethiopians grow fairly easy outdoors in the right type of warm climates.

The ec levels recommended in average in the strain description are moderate levels of nutrients during the growing stage, and slightly higher amounts of PK between the 3rd and 7th weeks of flowering, although may vary a bit from plant to plant. It's always important to respect the dry cycles of the soil for a healthy root system and efficient nutrient absorption.

It was harvested exactly after a week of the picture being taken.

I forgot to post the end of my congo, I harvested it on October 28th... I have it cured for 2 months now, it has a honey smell with a fine touch like mandarin, when you smoke it has a happy and relaxed effect, it is not very potent, perfect for watching a movie. Good plant highly recommended ...

Update from my guerrilla site in New Zealand. Both plants look great - one is throwing lovely purples! At a guess three to four weeks from harvest?

@jeezooz youre in the north island by the looks of it, if you’re in Auckland area you should be fine leaving it to the End of April ~ 1st week of May. That would be the window imo. Weather permitting of course.

Of course up to you if you want early late or a bit of both

Hoping to get some info from any here who have grown out the Congo 3 specifically? Not the hybrid here, but the C3 used in the initial cross. It's a tough one to find specific information about.
