Thanks a lot for the descriptions of the terpene profile of each plant @early_hominid sound delicious :yummy: How do you feel about each one after 3 months of curing ?

Hey dubi, all 3 are great plants. The large, green floral #3 pheno is my favorite high - it's super stimulating when vaped, and has great eyes on it like the Malawi x PCK I grew. #1 and #2 have the PCK aroma with a softer hybrid high, but are still uplifting. All 3 are great daily smoke plants, I don't see myself getting tired or bored of the aroma or effect.

From growing 4 of them outside (1 guerilla), it seems like Congo are really strong, hardy plants that do well in the wind and storms around me, so I value it a lot. And looking at the recent indoor pics posted here, the line has a lot of life in it.

Thanks a lot for your positive feedback @early_hominid :) The comparison between Congo fem and Malawi x PCK fem is very on point since they share same PCK parent plant, combined with a a different sativa in each case. In my opinion, the most Congo sativa leaning expressions have brighter, more energetic-motivating effects than most sativa Malawi x PCK expressions, although the later are stronger and longer lasting.

Looks very healthy and well feeded for guerrila style @jeezooz :) Looks like a green pheno from here. Does she show any pigmentation so far ? At NZ latitude, nights must be mild enough to induce some pigmentation in colorful expressions of this hybrid.

@dubi Good day sir, I have been looking at your catalog for quite a while now, and I am looking to acquire either Congo or Bangi Haze. I see that the Congo has the Bangi genetics as well, I was wondering what are the similarities and differences between the two? I plan to grow them indoors. Thanks in advance, I am a big fan of your work

Bangi Haze has a different unrelated congolese in its pedigree than the Congo.

I would say get both and see the differences for yourself. I have no experience with the straight Congo, just with a cross of it, but I would say it's a warmer and gentler effect. My last Bangi Haze is like drinking too much coffee and not so friendly psychactivity.

You should try some Golden Tiger, it’s literally like too much caffeine and no ceiling psychactivty. Leaves most people feeling star struck 🤩. lol 😂 CL🍀 edit: maybe mind-fucked is a better description

Thanks for your interest in our work SteadyEddy420 :) as @dilettante correctly pointed, Congo and Bangi Haze contain different Congolese sativa genetics. Both deliver energetic cebrebral effects and finish in approx same flowering times. Congo is tastier and often has the colors from PCK.

Hey, here’s a quick report on harvested indoor Congo and what’s to come. Had some heat issues but Congo fared better than Panamas (although I guess other factors were like involved). Nice hard buds, lovely pine scents (which I’m sure at lower temps will be even more prevalent). Fast flowering and easy to clone. This might be my daily driver, or first smoke of the day as it’s not as mentally confusing as the Panama or Malawi’s I’ve had. I did not get much pck influence on this pheno but will try it outdoor soon to see what it does. Pck scents and colors are quite lovely.

Pic of some harvested bud and of next indoor run (they’re looking much better since the flip about a week ago.)

Thanks dubi, next will be the Bangui

You cant go wrong with Congo.

Did go wrong with a lot of varieties but this is one of the few that will be bought again. And its very easy to handle. Gives a good mood, doesnt drive you crazy, no next day effect, makes you smile and its good for party. Feel good.

Cant ask for much more.

Congo is often columnar but with a bit of brutal supercropping she branches out well.
I usually train my plants in inside grows (limited room) but outside, i tend to let them grow as they want, with maybe a simple topping at most. Because i know i'm going to spend too much time around the plants if i begin training them, you know, making sure each and every growing tip has access to direct sun...
So i think i'll skip supercropping, but since you seem to know the strain, @Chi13, do you think a simple topping would be beneficial or i'd better let her grow naturally if i don't go brutal ?
Note that this plant is a bonus in case of sunny october, which happen some years (I'm somewhere around 49°N). I have earlier strains as a main crop.

I finally didn't top this one, wanting to see her natural growth. Full picture another time, for now i only have this :

full

The smell is not the best ever : some kind rubber, maybe bicycle tires... yeah, i could smell a bicycle repair shop. The older stems have some turpentine, a kind of fruity turpentine. Interesting !

What a beauty! Miss growing Congo and might pop some soon. Sorry I missed your earlier question. I used to top but now I only supercrop I guess would be my best answer.
