First the German biopirates disguised as blonde blue-eyed doctors from this bank: https://www.ipk-gatersleben.de/en/genebank/ took the genetics from Congo and someone made the Germans "The Great Gatersleben" and They hacked their genetics in Spain and as a thief who steals from another thief has 100 years of forgiveness, we have to thank Ngakpa for selling embittered genetics at modest 4 euros per seed If I can comment on something about it, it is that the prices at which the landraces genetics are being sold are real nonsense.

Get your facts straight... IPK Gatersleben didn't collect anything, they are preserving ex-situ genetics, not organizing bioprospection expeditions. They received the seeds from a different institution, in this case, the BAZ German gene bank which originally acquired the Kongo Hanf accession from a Spanish donor btw. So it was never a verified Congolese accesion, but some bagseeds collected in Spain back then that ended circulating around some German genebanks.

It is very interesting to read a translation of something you wrote in other language!!
I bought a supposedly landrace ganja variety from Congo from a supposed landrace seedbank and what I obtained was rope, hemp.
Beautiful highless strain
Congo 3 (3).jpeg

I tried to be funny or say something with humor which could be misinterpreted, maybe for some people related with these seedbanks it wasnt funny
For me it wasnt funny to discover I was cheated and was sold bullshit as other stuff coming from this seedbank
Master Musta, why is this stuff being preserved then if it cant be verified? Is this being preserved as hemp?
I find contradictory the concept of preserving something and charging money for it. In my view it stops being preservation and starts being a business, even if the charge is disguised under the donation word

Thank you very much for explaining the real story behind this strain, much appreciated

Garwesleben Seedbank

why do they ask money? Cause by law they HAVE to. How can it be lawful to sell cannaseeds in germany you ask then.. I dont know.. but its legal for medicine there..

further: i already mentioned it earlyer, but i have heard nothing but good things about the gatersleben people. They try to spread Heirloom Vegetables so, that people can even have access to theose. In EXCHANGE, they collect fieldstudy data, that means they want to get access to the peoples fields , to make fieldstudyes.. And its forbidden by german law to share any seed, including old heirlooms on a bigger scale .

So they have anyway to ask for fees.. In the end any person needs probably money? especially researchers that gather fieldata, right.

You people can have your theories, but im pretty much shure you dont know anything about them., And would you watch dokus about them , you would see them handing out heirlooms, studying growth and taste. So, it looks pretty good, and you find them in criticall dokus about extinction of heirlooms..

Now, do they concentrate heavily on cannabis.. no, i dont think so, but peobably just got some beans in their hands, made a couple more, and gave them out TO TEST for fieldstudy.. So, they anyway dont garanty quality.. They give TESTseeds to people, in order to do fieldstudy. Probably there are anyway other interests in cannabis then getting an uplifting sativahigh. so, probably people can find good ropequalities or droughtresistence, or healinhg properties, or...

so: they are a company to test , study heirlooms.
and you probably got the seeds trough a middlesman, but not directly from them. they would otherwise probably informed you that it can be any thype of congo genes.. or are you thinking it is completly unrelated hemp-

Another thing that comes to my mind: Everything centralizes: Music is all on spotivy, Movies are all on Netflix, and Genes?
In a Time when most dont care for food, and wanna save the last cent, so they can Drive a bigger Car... In such times, its very rare someone preserves stuff.

See it from this perspective: you got a Congolese Cannabis Seed from a Seedbank! Thats awesome as fuck. Sadly this Seedbank had probably not much knowledge in what they got, i mean finding old Congolese is cefrtainly not something easy, also not for them. So, what they are doing may be what is heavily needed. They can store stuff propperly, and actually sell it. Yeah you can go to Landrace Trem Seeds, or such, but there is no big security he will be there in 50 years, and have those seeds well preserved..
What Gartersleben is doing, is simply awesome, and they even carr congolese, well hemp, but probably also legit Congo landrace, probably propperly openpollinated and stored for long time.

OF COURSE we have to be carefull who to trust, but like said, aslong as there are no reasons for concern.. go!

What's the full lineage?? I remember he used F2 from the Double Congo strain from Tropical Seed Co for that work. I suppose it's a BX to the Congo Black dad??

I'm not sure which version I got - ix or ix#2. IX#2 uses a Congo black pheno of CPNxCongo Black. In either case I believe the lineage is:

(Congo Point Noire x Congo Black) x Congo Black male.

I always thought the Congo black male or cut was freely shared by around breeders and thought Snow got his direct from Alex?

Maybe the double congo is also CPNxCongo black and came from tropical???
