Hey Doc, I'm surprised no one's asked this yet....what kind (and when) of trimming do you do to end up with those "budsicles" ? Thanks for all the time you've put into this thread.
krly
The budsicle is the natural reaction of every MJ plant when you find her "Sweet Spot"
The Sweet Spot is the height at which we induce flowering to achieve max Height/Weight without side branching.
The S.S. of each kind is different some it's 3" some its 5,6,7,....you get the Idea :rasta:
My old Haze x xNL#5 flowered at 1" and finished 17 weeks later at 29-31"

Well I grow them as I talked about in my thread...
I have my nutes "Dialed In" so they are using them as I add them......
I rinse them very well after every Flowering cycle....give them a good watering with fish emulsion and put them under 24 hour light until they begin to show "Normal" leaves again...
then I trim all but 2 branches off down low and flower them again .....I have 1 in front of me right now that is gonna go in for time #5 soon but that is rare....3 is the norm around here
This pic is some girlz gettin ready to go in for 3rd time

Awesome!!!
I'm guessing you are getting away with very little soil cause you have your nutes dialed in and are feeding often. how often are you feeding? Daily?

and while most people harvest and start flowering new clones you are getting triple the yeild by sending them through to flower again 3 times on the average.
Your mothers have to be very healthy to kick out them clones! are you doing anything special to your mothers to help keep them nice and healthy. they are bonsai correct?
Awesome grow Doc!!

Ahh that's interesting... I thought it would decrease for some reason.

Anyways, here's the case I'm going to be working with. I'm going to try to squeeze x12 16oz (2.5in wide exactly) bottles in there. Would you recommend this? Or should I go with something less? The case has x4 150w CFL's.

Are you really gonna run 4-42 watters in a PC.....Wow
with that many lumen Hell Ya' pack them in there....you need to make something that will hold 3/4" of water for the last 2-3 weeks to sit the bottles in...they suck alot o water then

this is very impressive, ive always believed sog would be a great method of growing for micro gardens, i dont think its very popular because the idea of cloning can be intimidating to some, which infact is very simple.
my suggestion to everyone who hasnt cloned before is to hop on ebay and buy some cloning powder for 3 dollars, i did.

What do you mean when you say "you need to make something that will hold 3/4" of water for the last 2-3 weeks to sit the bottles in"?

Some strains will need to sit in a 1/2-3/4 of water .....in only 16oz of medium the bottle may not hold enuff water for 24 hours.
That way they won't ever wilt on ya' B4 the lights come back on.....you might not need it .....some strains never do.

Small spaces can get hot which is no big deal if they have a Handy Beverage when they need it :rasta:

Damn I wish I could find a strain I can dial in like you DrBudGreengenes.
But I'm working on a strain right now, so it might be it.
Its gonna be a cross with Jacks Poison x Sweet Tooth
Probley gonna call it Sweet Poison.
Using a male sweet tooth to pollinate the Jacks Poison.
I just hoping when I get the seeds that they will not be Auto Flower like the Jack's poison is.

So basically you're saying a 'bathtub' for the 16oz bottles to sit in to feed on water when needed...correct?

Careful using anything with Ruderalis genes in it they come back up years later at the wrong time

Everything I used in the breeding was tested and stressed first for at least 1 year so they had all the traits I wanted...non of the females that hermied were even considered ....I hate having to baby a plant
I treated some Blueberry clones (DP) the way I treat my Chesaw clones and they almost died......lol

i'd be more worried about how many container's you could fit in that pc case.
you can start from shitty bagseed and leave with good buds. it looks like a good setup though, good luck

I been at work readin this whole thread this is ****ing amazing by far one of the best things I have ever read I have a pic of my cab in my gallery it holds 9 plants I think I will do something similar putting 3 clones in each hole to make 27 total....... keep up the good work I will post pics when the 27 clones are ready to go I can't wait it will be a lot for my first grow but I think wit a little help from the IC family and my knowledge I will be fine 400 HPS and 27 Clones

Nice work man. I'm a big fan of the cfls after recently giving them a go. They can do great things if applied properly. I've never tried the perpetual thing but I basically just rocked off the one crop when I did mine. Thanks for the tips. Heres a few pics of my efforts.

Good Lord!

Good Lord!

Simply phenominal!

-I dont believe that you mentioned how tall your plants end up...
Flower at 3" Finish at ??"

-I assume that your bottles have drain holes b/c you state you rinse them b4 revegging, do you bottom feed or do you feed each plant individually? If so that seems like a lot of work. You probly dont have to feed them ALL everyday though, right?

-I also assume that you dont get algae in those bottles cause of the green. Correct me if I am wrong.

You broke all the "rules" and I love it. I wonder if other plants can withstand such small conditions. Romas? Swiss Chard?

Thanks you.
