Compact SOG with CFL's

Man I check your thread out, and learn something new every day. I can't wait to just get even a bud or two from my first grow. I suck with saws & stuff so I picked up a cabinet at DIY store. It's basically a wardrobe with two sides to it, with a couple of shelves. Hoping to have it set up, and lightproofed by next week, and maybe take my first set of clones. Been kind of waiting on my new soil mix to sit a bit too.

If you have a minute I could use some advise. I've got 3 plants I can take clones from. They haven't been sexed yet. All three have been inadvertently abused due to my noobness, but I can pull at least 3 x 3" clones, with 3 nodes, off of each one. Do I take clones, veg them for a week or so then flower them to sex them, or do I flower the plants I have now until I can sex them, then put them back in veg and take clones? Provided they're females.

Label your 3 "mothers", take clones from them and label them according to which "mother" they came from, root them, flower them and then you can determine which one of your "mothers" is a girl.

you have inspired me to start my own small grow and see if i can even get close to what your getting, from my 600w hortilux bulb. starting with newly rooted clones. and a few days of veg time so they get aclimated to the soil coming from the aero cloner. ill will post my findings as the develop.

Wonderfully inspiring thread.Awesome yield my friend I read half the thread thinking you meant a one liter bottle and then I realizd 20oz thats a teeny container you definetly have it dialed my friend.I started thinking though you must go to town to post eh?Or are you able to get online with like a laptop where yer at?Man free power.Must be nice.So are you saying one could run a cfl setup off a 850watt inverter hooked to a battery and be completely off da grid?I lived hippy style and ran inverters off my car and various batteries for some time so I know a bit about this.Gatta be chargin em constant and runnin alot o gas I remember it was a constant war but then again I was powerin a TV vcr radio and several incandecent bulbs.If my calculations are right a gro of this style woldnt come clost to that in watts and one could prolly run the inverter for several days off the same marine battery.Hmmm Ideas are blooming.He he!!Thannx man you are a genius.Nice breedin by the way!!!

We have a VERY long hand dug phone line...so we are on Dial-up on an old Compaq Presario 1700
Man free power.Must be nice.
Its not free yet...will still fire up the Genny every coupla days...it will B free when we get all our panelse

You will need several batteries we have 22 L-16's

You will still need a bunch of batteries.....and charge every coupla days

So take 3 from each and label them well put two of each 24/0 or 18/6 and put one of each under 12/12...when the clones show sex toss the boyz...keep a clone of each for a mom and flower the rest

So many people are playin around with these PC grows....I've been thinkin about getting one and seeing how many 4" pots I could fit in one.....If I can fit 9 inside of one I could do a Perpetual harvest with 2 PC's....Hmmmm

And mom and Dad thought every kid needed a Computer for College....."No Mom & Dad I need 3 PC's to keep up with all my classes....Lol"

Some of the strains I have grown SOG like this needed different start heights to finish just under the lights....some flower well at 1" some 3" some 6" you get the idea

In properly prepared and "Alive" soil a MJ plant can be grown forever in what ever size container you choose....roots can only use 60% of the soil to use the rest we need a lil' help from our friends the fungi :friends:

Hey thanks Doc. I took 5 clones (A1 - A5), from plant A (LOL) I figure since I'm a noob I'd do more than three, and keep my fingers crossed. Hoping to see some roots some time in the next week to 10 days. At least if they're female I'll know how to take care of them a little better this time around, and hopefully get a good mother out of the deal. If these clones root ok then I'll be doing the same thing to the other plants too. They're not as mature so I don't have as many sites to choose from just yet.

Why you say that?
I got 3 Jack's Poison plants and just found out that they are on auto flower. Most of them are female.
Is it bad to grow auto flower strains indoor?
