It can when they find new ways to deal with climate change that also makes things more profitable. For example I was just watching a video earlier today about how they have this new method of taking captured Carbon emissions and injecting it into concrete. Something about the chemical reaction this process creates makes the concrete stronger, as a result they don't need to add as much cement to the concrete such that the use of less cement offsets the additional cost of injecting the captured carbon. The end result being a better product that helps the environment and doesn't cost more to make.new question;
can climate change be solved/dealt with under existing capitalism?
my answer would be a firm no. and my justification for that position would be for me to tell you to simply look at the past 40yrs lol. i can expand on this when it isn't 2am lol.
for all the Q's and righties who think climate change is a hoax or doesn't exist, this question isn't for you lol. i don't care how much you copy/paste into here about climate change hoaxes, i'm not going to respond to that bullshit.
Of course it would just be nice if people ruled by capitalism would just recognize that climate change is just as much a threat to them as anyone else. I mean what happens to your precious profit margins if fires or severe weather destroys your factory or food and water shortages kill off your workers? How profitable will your business be if your manufacturing plant that you place on the water's edge to facilitate transporting goods and dumping waste, ends up underwater because the Thwaites Glacier has melted and sea levels rise a couple of meters?
