Commercial scale buildings, who to expect?

sure everyone would love to grow in a warehouse and of course economically it makes more sense, but as previously posted, outside of a medical state i wouldnt feel comfortable using more than 1 or 2k per bedroom MAX! even in a nice residential area in a non med state running 4-6k your likely to have the highest a/c bill on the block... especially in a recession where people are cranking up the thermostats, and turning off lights trying to pinch pennies where they can.. and saying that electric companies dont give info to police is bogus.. gotta keep it safe always

im in no position to talk about a ware houses, but i have talked to the power company in portland and they said 15,000w 24hrs a day, was chill, had no inspections, but may require a new electric line if it was residential. said it costs $35 a day. so i think its all about the land lord, as long as its a legal state. set up a lot of cameras, maybe pay somebody to watch the cameras for you. think warehouse owners are chill with "indoor gardening"?

for example, in todays market, a grower needs to minimize expenses and maximize output in order to stay profitable and be worth ones time and effort.

What are you growing, tomatoes? You make it sound like weed is getting marked up 10-20% and margins are razor thin. :)

Yeah there is a certain financial benefit to having everything under one roof, but also increased risk. Cops bust a large warehouse grow, you are labeled a kingpin. Trust me on that. They bust a house, its not so bad. Also its possible to keep your houses protected and separate from each other. So if one house goes down, you still have the others which you will need

BTW this is all from experience, not opinions

I prefer running a lot of houses in different areas than a warehouse. You set all the houses up in different names and if one or 2 of them get busted, you still have the others. Instead of running a warehouse, I plan on running a laundry mat and putting the plants 2 floors above it.

Sounds Like a Plan stan!!!

One Question, how do you go about setting up houses in different names without getting other people involved?
Love the laundrymat idea though...

hit it on the head with that question. I don't know where you guys get down at but around my way if you think about setting up a house and leaving it alone you are crazy.

People would be like this person is only here every once in a while. Its not like it used to be back in the day around 6-9 yrs ago. But today you leave your shit unwatched and best believe someone will take off with all your shit.

Get a big ass house with four rooms bang out 10kw in to different rooms on a flip flop and call it a day. That will be big enough and if you are moving major weight you need to go live in a legal state.

Off topic, I know but I was wondering what happened to him. The last thing I remember was him asking for ideas for destroying evidence of his grow. Have I missed some posts of his?

Apologies for going off topic.

Commercial building manager here....Any change in the floor plan will get a visit from an building inspector, but you'll know they are coming because you submitted plans to change things in the space.. Otherwise, they will only show up if someone reports a violation. All emergency personel are allowed into your space, so if there is a fire upstairs, they can come into your place for access to other areas if they deem necessary. Unless you OWN the space, people can legally enter your home/business.. High usage of power is normal for commercial space and is not a worry.. Remember most leases allow building management and owners to enter a space in what we deem an emergency, so double triple lock anything that should not be seen. I regularly let cleaning and maintenance people into locked offices to do work, its in the lease. The only time i cant is for Jewelry stores or secured locations. So if you get an alarm and lock everything you should be good. Dont forget smell.. Building dynamics are an amazing thing, you'd be amazed how smell can travel in a building that was engineered for proper airflow. Spare no expense, use only top of the line stuff, and pay all your bills and rent on time, you should be good to go.
