what do you all think the best way about finding a down landlord for a medi grow is???

No idea about that unless you knew them personally.

I want to try to get a house with an absentee landlord who is out of state or far away. Pay bills on time and should have no problems. That would be an ideal situation.

Even better is to win the lottery and build a custom house up on a mountain. Powered completely by solar energy of course.

Sorry if this is off topic, I am a caregiver from CO wanting to become a patient myself. Anyone have any good references for Dr's? (PM Me!) I have pain in my knee from a torn acl surgery back in '05 that I always assumed would not be enough for a license. What do you think my chances are of being approved with this condition? Thanks brothers.

chances are great...green mtn seems to be the ticket if you dont have medical records.

Fingers crossed that green mtn's docs aren't the ones with 2700 referrals and potentially under investigation as $150ish+ + $90 app fee is a hefty amount of cheese :p

Do you have an article about this?

Are you saying that $150 is expensive? B/c I've called and heard of other Docs charging way more like $200-300 range!

Commercial or Residential ?

Finding a commercial landlord wasn't too difficult. It was like "NO" "NO" "NO" then "Sure, as long as it's legal and documented".

One commercial real estate agent I talked to was a patient and wanted me to grow for her. But she didn't have a suitable warehouse available.

Just have to ask, and be straight up about it. My landlord, the guy that insures the place for me[$1,000,000.00 liability policy], my GF, and my trimmer/helper are the only ones that know the secret location.

it's a few threads down or a few pages back in one of the CO posts, just read it a few days ago. Anything is a lot to pay if you're going to face automatic denial because of a doc under investigation.

About 12 hours out from being legal. Horrah! :yoinks:

I was recently told about a few agents that did just that. Find locations for legal med grows. I will return with more info tomorrow. In the same conversation, i heard speak of insurance and warehouse space. It is and can be done my friends! Network and stay connected, and we'll be the silicon valley in the 80's... :joint:

Green Mountain made me initial several sheets saying that they were my caregiver, as well as made me sign a HIPAA form which said on it "You have the right to refuse to sign". I tried to not sign, just because I didn't understand fully what it was- but I was told I had to anyway :\

I doubletriplechecked that the sheets I initialed regarding caregiver were NOT to be taken seriously for my permit at least, I was told that I have to sign them over as caregiver during the time at which I'm in their building. What's the deal with this? All I know is my application for registration has NONE [x]'d for caregiver, I just want it to be that way.

Additionally I wish I had thought like someone in previous post and filled out my SSN for my copy only, right before mailing it. Don't like that floating around now at green mountain and In Harmony Wellness.

Anyone put my worries to rest about this caregiver and hipaa stuff?

The whole caregiver deal is simply temporary. It assumes that they are your caregiver while your there. It is also affirmative defense that you signed them over and never contacted them to change, therefore they had no malicious intent. It's all good. The only form that matters, as far as who your caregiver is concerned, is the one your drop off at the health department.
No big deal bro :joint:

I personally would recommend that you never sign a HIPAA form for ANY dispensary or CG. It's simply unnecessary and too far reaching.

I agree with K.J I've never signed one with a caregiver or dispensary.
There's a limit to these guys covering their assess which causes unnecessary exposure to mine!

Hell, I feel like i've gone about this all wrong then. I didn't think to fill in SSN# later, and the tip was posted the day after I went to Green Mountain. Doink. I signed the HIPAA because I was told I had to, and I messed up getting that po box instead of a ups box so my state ID has to say my physical address, which will be photocopied and sent to the registry.

daggonit. i hope things only continue to improve with the medical scene here, and nationally- so i don't have to worry about any of this boning me in the end :|

Going to a place called 'Medical Cannabis Colorado'

6250 E. Yale ave. 80222

720-296-2857

$175 for the appointment, $90 for state registration.

They only do Friday appointments so far.

Don't sign the forms if you feel uncomfortable. I don't, and won't. there are other places which do not have those requirements. Ask to black out your SS# on their copy, they should oblige.
