LOL.... we were 30 years ahead of you on the move so we know the struggles of moving here across country as well as the challenges and risks involved with growing here illegally far before it was commonplace and folks tossed up neon pot leaves in storefronts and bought their balls from the State.
I remember this day well as I was working in the local headshop at that point in time. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/15/the-fitter-at-40-a-bould_n_3082198.html In addition, I had just plugged my first 1000 watt light in the week before. Nah...no big deal growing in Colorado or being a stoner back in the pre=med days like in the "south" or other places. It's >always< been a cakewalk growing here in CO. LOFL. Hardly.
Yer probably right about 64 as far as the late-comers....but in all honesty the folks who lived here long before that who were >truly< into weed had already hit the streets and petitioned to change the laws (cover their ass) over a decade before 64 was even a thought, and, like me, aren't affected (or restricted) by 64 whatsoever.
Bottom line, we've never needed the state's OK to grow weed here...ever. ;-)
