but what sucks is now you can get arrested pretty easily for those genetics....back to the black market we come.....your buddies disp planning on paying the ransom?...would really suck to invest all that money into a disp, then get hit with this 1284 bill.

Did the final bill pass with a clause about patenting genetics?

damn, if you stick to the 5 patient limit you don't have to pay that offsite $10-15k dollar fee do you?

didn't they validate doctor recommendations for over 3 blooming plants as well in this bill? so you can legally grow more if the doc gives you the okay? please say this is the case

Nope, don't recall seeing that anywhere...

And cops only understan 6 plants per person, so WHEN they come to count your plants, they won't care about doctors notes. It will be plants and patient cards they'll counting, and if your over...prove it in court...not their problem!

whats the actual status on having 6 plants , can you have all 6 in bloom or do you risk prosecution, I have gotten mixed responses on this issue... seems an easy way around it would be to put 3 per patient in bloom then wait 3 or 4 weeks and put the other 3 per patient in bloom, allowing you to never really have 6 plants per patient with "useable marijuana" on them... thanks for your input greenmopho.

I didnt mean arrest for the genetics....meant arrested for having mj illegally.

ok, I misunderstood... This bill really sucks, so many people have poured money into the state through our local economies and now they are forcing all those people out of business basically.

Also if the state cant process the money thats coming in from the cards, how are they gonna have time to process the money coming in for growers permits and dispensary licenses? Is there going to be a 9 month backlog on those too?

You can have 6 total, but only 3 flowering. From the amendment:

"(II) No more than six marijuana plants, with three or fewer being mature, flowering plants that are producing a usable form of marijuana."

Maybe for a $90 fee, but for $35k, you bet your ass that check will post the very next day! LOL

yes I as many others have read amendment 20 many times but this is extremely vague, usable form of marijuana is extremely open to interpretation... I have subscribed to the 3 only per patient in flower as to cross my t's and dot my I's but if the lawmakers are going to create absurd rules against my favor Im going to play every card necessary to help the law work for me, not against me.

Im just wondering if this has been taken to court and what the result was, most people in the industry have told me 6 plants per card period, doesn't matter if all 6 are in bloom cops aren't going to differentiate between the 3 blooming and 3 vegging, they will just make sure you only have 6 plants per patient, period.

If you're trying to be 100% legal, why wouldn't you just go by the law that says that you can only have half your allotted plants in bloom at any given time.

In our household, I have my card, my wife has her card, and I have two patients. I'm doing 4 groups of 6 plants. 6 clones, 6 30+ days in veg, 6 in first 30 days of bloom, 6 finishing. Both strains I grow finish in 55-65 days. When 6 get harvested, 6 more move into bloom.

It's a little more work having to do 4 different groups of watering/feeding. But it gives me a harvest every month. And I'm 100% compliant with the law.

To all my Colorado brethren that are doing large grows and/or own a dispensary, supplying meds to many many patients, and doing this as business...I'm deeply sorry. I understand how this is going to put the screws to you. I know many of you are heavily invested in this industry. I know for many of you this kept you from being a statistic in the Great Recession. I'm sorry our bought and paid for politicians have such a misplaced malicious view of you and your hard work.

Damn. This is all so very wrong. :noway:
