first off "brah"

this coming from the guy who says "your gums tingle from the phosphorus" are you trying to say that plants grown organically don't need phosphorus? ive heard u say this time and time again just makes me chuckle

and i dont know people who grow good weed! laughable i know people who have been growing in colorado for over 17 years give me a break

im sick of all the organic hippies/snobs tryin to say how much better their weed is when the fact is its no better and more than likely its gonna burn like you set off a string of firecrackers at the 4th of july

"take a botany class please"
rofl if only you knew did you think i was insinuating that the plant is somehow uptaking the flavor and smell of what your growing it in? because thats exactly what your trying to argue here with chem nutes you fucking clown

again.... This KID doesn't know DICK!
why did you call me "brah?" curious...

Phos is USUALLY pumped by Cash croppers like you. They PUMP IT FULL of Phos to get a higher yield and shittier weed.
Do I need to hold your hand some more? I guess.. let me explain the rest since you don't know shit!

Just because you know people who have grown for 17 years doesn't mean shit...I know people who have grown more than that and don't know shit and suck. Doesn't that mean you are 17 years behind the times? NEXT!

"im sick of all the organic hippies/snobs"
whine, whine, whine. we know your weed sucks and how much you hate that Organics are blowing your GH shit away.. I'm sick of all the stupid kids spilling mis-information!

rofl if only you knew did you think i was insinuating that the plant is somehow uptaking the flavor and smell of what your growing it in? because thats exactly what your trying to argue here with chem nutes you fucking clown

That is exactly what YOU are insinuating. With your animal feces claim.
I'm saying that with Organics you get better tasting weed versus Synthetics, (Do you know about Mircrobes? Probably not)... synthetic is what GH is not "chem" like you express you fuckstick, take a botany class kiddo or just a dictionary...Chemical does not mean not organic, synthetics mean not organic. Get your shit straight before you come on here and try to argue with people that know what they speak not some fucking kid that loves his GH and shitty weed. BYE!

Buys from Sunflower Market. Whenever I go with her, the expression on my face is like that dirty hippy in Mr Danks AV. I wouldn't be shocked if they sold raw twine as a breakfast cereal.

I don't know though. Could very well be hydroponic. I just assumed a place like that would carry soil grown produce. I'm pretty sure every bit of produce they grow is organic. Don't know if it's grown in soil though.

Hmmm Indoor 1 plant average yield full flower 1/4 lb every 45 days
Out door yield 5 to 7 lbs + 14lbs of trim...one harvest
If it were me I'd go for the Outdoor organic ...higher yield better product...
You are what you smoke.

Oh...and wife even buys organic grass fed beef. That took some getting used to. So familiar with the taste of grain fed beef. The grass fed tastes just like advertised...grass. It's weird. I eat it now, but I still can't used to the slight taste of grass.

I saw a video on a guy that held several world records for growing vegetables. But all of his stuff was outdoors in soil. Big tea proponent. And who could argue with his results. Massive vegetables that were so large they looked creepy.

Budsworth,
Sunflower Market carries BOTH Organic and Conventional grown produce, same with Whole Foods and Sprouts.
The ONLY health food store that carries ONLY organic produce is VITAMIN COTTAGE---Local company that is cheaper and friendlier than the other Health food stores. SUPPORT VITAMIN COTTAGE, SUPPORT COLORADO!

She shops there as well. The one on Leetsdale. I'll let her know.

I have to tell you...I've really gotten on the only buying Colorado grown weed from Colorado growers. I've got my friends on the kick too.

Is there some type of stamp or cert for people with roots in Colorado to certify their product? After moving from here to Cali for a couple of years...I moved back with a bad taste in my mouth. I'd rather know that actual Coloradans are getting my and my friends money. Not some transplant who moved out here to turn the industry into Wal-Mart.

I hear ya with the CO grown stuff, hell, I know some dispensaries that SAY "ONLY COLORADO GROWN WEED HERE" BUT in FACT they bring shit from cali also..straight from the horses mouth! Some greedy fucks just care about $$$ damn shame, and they usually talk REALLY FUCKING LOUD.
I can tell you where to go and where to avoid.
The Stamp thing reminds me of the folks up in NorCal, mostly boldt folks worried about if the herb becomes legal, that somehow they think people will want only stuff from boldt, so they are thinking of doing a seal/stamp to identify....the weed ain't that GOOD.
the one for "Colorado Grown" could VERY EASILY be replicated....IMO
So, stick to the places that don't fuck with that Cali larf garb...or russians!

Frostiest weed I ever got was hydro... tastiest weed I've run across has always been organic. Puffin some Tang Haze (organic soil) now. Also have some Golden Goat (hydro) that definitely does not measure up to when its grown organically, bottom line. Not sure how this can be argued

a theory...

i have had chemically grown samples that i think are just as good if not better than my organically grown buds... key word being samples. i could not make the same statement about your 'typical' hydro bud tho.

if the average sample of organic bud is higher quality than the average hydro , i would argue that this the result of the grower 'giving a shit' moreso than one methodology being superior to the other. opportunists will always gravitate to what is cheap and easy, but this does not necessarily mean that cheap GH nutes can't produce fire -- see some of Head's bud.

i believe when saying anything non-organic is crap we are confusing correlation with causation. its not the chemical nutes producing bad buds, its the dipshit grower who sees nothing but dollar signs. feel me? yeah, you feel me.

i really like growing organic but the trendyness of it is becoming somewhat sickening. almost makes me want to knock out a few GH coco grows for the sake of being contrarian.

I use this on my printed labels. I'm glad to hear more and more folks interested in the cause, keep it local! :tiphat:

I'm with you. One of the main reasons I grow organically is because it works better FOR ME IN MY SETUP. No one has the exact same set up or technique, so find something that works for you and run with it, we've got enough snobbery as it is.

@Paco.

All I am saying, is that NugJug is a fucking dick!
If his DISPENARY'S weed was so fucking good, he wouldn't be online preaching about it, he would be behind the counter, making hay while the sun shines.

He still has not let us know where to find his Chronic, so 'till then, I wait.

And if you like good BEEF, try this.
Colorado's Best Beef Company.

Have a russian friend who owns a dispensary and is bothering me about bringing in my first harvest.

As far as dispensaries...I don't go to them to buy. I have to many friends that have been producing for so many years.

I've gone to the CAM a few times. It's okay. A couple of their bud-tenders are kind of arrogant...made me feel uncomfortable. One of them is real nice.

I'm just an old-dog and I feel weird going into them. Many of my local grower friends have gone legal. I know what they're growing...how they're growing it. And I know they aren't shaking all the goodness off before the sell it to me....something I've noticed on the buds at the two dispensaries I've been to. An incredible low amount of crystals on the bud at those places.

Seriously everyone needs to relax... what's the saying... different strokes for different folks.

A very wise person in this site has some good advice.. "It is foolish assume that the sum of your experience is the last word in ganja growing" NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE

That goes for EVERYONE. Some people just think that because something works for them it is the only way to do it. Come on now we must be smart enough to know that we aren't the smartest around. ya dig??

And like cobcoop said. I've also had samples of non organic grown herb that every single one of you would accept as organic. It comes down to the skill of the grower.

Oh...I've been talking about it with all my grower friends. We've discussed using a sticker with that emblem on it ourselves. Problem is, it's easily replicated...and with the fact that dispensaries are buying shit...and then changing the name on it...worries me that they would slap that sticker on everything regardless of whether is was true or not.

What would it take to make the type of stamp they have on the bottom of cigarette packs?

Say, register with a governing agency. They verify that you are from Colorado...and actually have roots here (as opposed to moving here from Cali and saying, "I'm a Colorado grower too"). Then they come in and apply stamps to all your product. Though I know most growers don't want strangers in their operation. So there is the first problem right there.

I don't know. Me and a few friends have spent many sessions over the past 4-5 months or so discussing how it could be done. We keep coming up with more questions:

"Where would you get a cigarette pack-like stamp made?"

"If people wouldn't want a certifier/stamp person near their gardens, how do you get it onto the product?"

"How do you keep people from taking bags/bottles with the stamp on it from just reusing and throwing any old stuff they want in there?"

We've come up with more questions than answers on this whole thing.

Like I've said, I'm new to growing. Not to pot. But to growing. And in all my research up to this point ("this point" being first harvest any day now) is that everybody has their own way of doing it. They've all got their "things" that they're SURE is a must. But they all get (or almost all) pretty good product in the end.

I think it's more a matter of how much you care. The energy you give off is what I think plants feed off. If you are enthusiastic about your plants, they'll reflect that.

Maybe I'm wrong. But that's what I've found in all my flower beds...and my yard. If I sow the earth. If I amend the soil. If I water regularly. If I give it love...it gives love back to me.

God I love gardening. Get me high and throw on some Monk. I could dig in the dirt for hours.

Anywhere.

"If people wouldn't want a certifier/stamp person near their gardens, how do you get it onto the product?"
By yourself.

"How do you keep people from taking bags/bottles with the stamp on it from just reusing and throwing any old stuff they want in there?"
We can thank the Cartels for this one, you find who's doing it and you confront them.

We've come up with more questions than answers on this whole thing.
