The stuff they say that makes weed "bad" to make legal is stupid "dispensaries are targets for theft"... oh... and wal-mart isnt? Should we pull those from neighborhoods?

So fucking stupid. And i feel so sorry for the guy. He was legal, and just wanted to help inform the idiots and he got tagged. Thats why its no better to be legal then illegal; no matter what; your still F'd when the DEA rolls in... Tho he shoulda known better. DEA likes when people go "HEY LOOK AT ME, I GROW POT!" they go "HEY LOOK AT ME, IM THE DEA... YOU DONT GROW NO MO..."

9 News at 4, is reporting the subject of their story was busted by the feds today. They show many, many happy assed feds being very mean to his garden as it was boxed an hauled off. As of the airing - he had not been arrested, but didn't want to comment to 9 news on the phone. Lil late on that idea.



They said a neighbor phoned in a tip.
Yesterday.

Well I'm glad colorado is getting some props. There are challenges to growing here in the no humidity and high altitude, and the cold temps, especially this winter. Now we're up to 22 strains and are perpetual harvesters... and getting into the whole breeding situation, which adds a whole other challenge.

Cause no matter what... its still illegal Federally. Even if all 50 states say "Pot is 100% legal for everyone every how"... you could walk down the street and get busted by the Feds. State laws just mean State cops cant do anything.

I don't know the specific answer, but the guy had said during the news interview that he would make 400,000 this year... they also mentioned he is only caregiver for 12 people... obviously he intended to transfer it to people that he was not a caregiver for, not exactly legal under state law.

edit: I bet he was out of compliance too.

While his neighbor was talking to his wife Martha, the local head of the DEA was watching and wishing he had some way to teach that dope smokin, pinko, commie a thing or two.

And according to 9News, his neighbors called DEA after seeing the promo on TV.
I was hoping DEA was trying to force 9News to give him up (they have been working the story for a couple months) - but DEA didn't even have to work that hard.

I saw some plants that were about 1/2 way thru flower.

And ya know DEA will call the local office of the IRS, even if they don't press charges. (I'd bet they call IRS and press charges.)

Bingo. He bragged about money that the government wasnt getting its piece of; and 5:1 says he was out of compliance. People get greedy; quick.

A good example is when I was down at the local hydro shop talkin to some guys. All 4 in there agreed... "If i have light space; you better believe there will be a plant there"... your just begging to get caught! Thats why its ether Comply, or your giving them a express lane to bust you.

I look at it like this... I can grow illegal, keep my mouth shut, and just not do anything to lead to my bust. Or I can deal with the fuss of getting a card, then I can comply with every rule they have to a T, or Its no better then an Illegal grow because now you have a illegal - legal grow. Just with having a card... now you have documentation that your associated to weed, and it would give me an "ok" in my head to run my mouth... and thats still not cool IMO. Sure; it doesnt prove your growing illegally over the limit; or growing at all! But it does give them all the right to knock on the door and go "Hey... so lets see just how much dry product and how many plants you have today..."

Personally; if i had a room to dedicate i would probably get my license and just comply. That way they can come and look all they want... and i'd still be getting great yields but not having to risk getting caught by PLAYING THEIR GAME. Thats how we win... we show them we can play by their rules and they will give us more leeway... IMO. But its people like this guy who go and ruin it. Because the DEA is able to make an example out of him... Cause really... the laws they give us pertaining to it are pretty fair if its being used how it should...

And on another note... 400w Lumatek Dimmable, Cool tube, S&P 125, 2 T5 4 lamp ballasts and a grip of other grow stuff (just over $500) ordered Pics & diary when the items start hitting the door. If only i could decide what wood i want to use for my cab I could go buy it and get started on that and get some beans cracked!!! Over a year in re-construction after a bad time with a partner grow... but this time im doing it right cause its only me!

On one hand, I feel bad for his enormous error in judgment. On the other, Darwin is at work.

The DEA does not like to be taunted. At all. They could not let this very public admission pass any more than they could not show up at the testing labs when they APPLY for a DEA license.

Hope he was paying the IRS their due if he was legal.

Yes, his neighbors suck. But they are brainwashed by society and probably think marijuana is dangerous. Lack of public support is part of the cost of doing business. I have no empathy for this ass clown. His grandiose ego and lack of common sense have given the CO MMJ community a huge black eye. I have met so many young idiots recently who are totally nonchalant about their grows and lifestyle and show virtually no discretion anymore. Well, I hope this serves as a lesson for those folks!

I know of a house for rent on 40 acres, in the middle of nowhere. Seems someone with a brain an almost half a million on the line, would find something similar. With out any neighbors at all.

Has anyone actually seen any of these raids go to trial recently? It seems all you hear about is the raids (on the medical side) never trials or charges. They are out to intimidate.
