hey guys,
im still trying to figure out a good nute program.

currently my 600w tent is acting alittle weird.
the ppms are at ~550, but that is down from 850 because i thought it was starting to lock out.

i have been just adding more and more water in an attempt to get the ppms lower. even pumped ~1/2 the res out and added water/nutes back in.
its kinda hard to explain, but it seems like the plants are growing up, instead of out..... meaning the leaves are reaching for the top of the tent instead of out towards the sides.

here is a pic, trying to show what im talking about:

is this normal? or a sign of nute lockout? ph lockout?

anyone have any advice on a rdwc nute program? i only drain the res at the end of veg (~2 weeks into flower actually), again at the end of flowering, and another time once the ppms stop going up during flush.
i had heard the lucas formula is good, and im godd start reading up on it, but any tips in the right direction would be great

thanks

IMO it looks as if your plants are really close together and not much light is getting below the top of your canopy. I've seen a similar "reaching" effect when my plants were super crowded The leaves are reaching for the light and reaching for fresh air. Next time I would spread the plants out a bit and/or strip the bottom 1/3 of them They look healthy though and it looks super clean in there:yes:

Rocky, I don't ever want to meet you, you sound like a child, reminiscent of some other people on here that I wish to never run into.
I also, don't want to smoke your shit. I doubt you even grow. PROVE IT. No pix and keep talking leads nowhere. I'm done with the kids, have a nice day.

I ran this through the translator, the language he's speaking is called headupyourassibic it's a low brow version of troll, kinda like ebonics.Anyway what it says is.I'm ashamed of my pre- adolescent behavior and am afraid that if we did meet you would see that my ignorance is toped only by my sheer lack of ability, which, mind you,is the very same reason I don't even grow. Therefore leaving me exposed as the lower primate I fight so vigorously, yet unsuccessfully to hide. Im a babbeling, babbonish, baffone but I aspire to one day reach the intellectual level of a 7th grade special needs student. That is why I cannot accept this challenge you pose me,but instead,I will keep rimming Bobby's stained ass and hide in mothers basement till Im oneday, a full grown monkey. Hell Bobby may be a arrogant prick but at least he can grow a weed plant this guy can only ride on coat tails and sling his own deffication. bye now kiddies, remember to play nice.

Kellie it looks like some pruning is in order. I would take any fan leaf that blocks a bud site out. If it is shading a flower just cut it at its base nice and clean and throw it out. When you have it that crowded in there you have to keep cleaning house about once a week to keep them from choking themselves out. If light doesn't get to the lower bud sites they don't get very big.

Another last question (well... hopefully). If i have two cool tubes, in line with eachother; with 2 ft between center (so like 14 in of ducting between cooltubes) then will the lights interfere with each others light cycle? Even if i paint the inside of the ducting black? my other option if to route a large U in it that i'd rather not for simplicity sake! So can i get away with painting the ducting and having such short distance between; or just go with the U? my plan is to get a nice large inline and have it suck air threw a scrubber; past the fan; past 250w cooltube; past 150w mh cooltube and out... high hopes?

Start checking craigslist and rentals com. I just went through the same thing myself and finally found a place after 3 weeks of searching. Expect to pay around 1100-1200/mo for what you are looking for. I was surprised to see how many landlords were interested in discussing lease with option.

That's because you'll take better care of the place...and 90% of the time, rent to owners never get around to buying.

My brother in law owns dozens upon dozens of properties. He used to offer this up. Said he had never actually had a "rent to own" tenant ever actually buy the property. He had situations like this in several instances on several of his rental properties.

Probably better off just renting and working for a couple of years to clean up credit and getting all your ducks in a row.

And hello Colorado crew. Denver guy here. Building my first grow room in my house as we speak. Have my MMJ paperwork (still waiting for card...shocker). Been working on electrical the last couple of days (spent hours in my crawl space today...hooray black boogers and spider bites). Running 2 runs of 12-2 for two dedicated 110 circuits and one run of 10-3 for a dedicated 220 to run ballasts (electrician friend and I are piecing together a timer box that I'll hopefully have in the next month or so). Exhaust and one more ballast/hood/bulb will be tax money. Currently have one hood...one 1000w ballast (nextgen)...and my HPS bulb (Eye Hortilux). Plan on organic soil grow. Room is 16'x7.5'x10'.

You are going to run 2k in a 120 ft^2 room? Might want to reassess those numbers.

Kelly, you fret too much. Your cabs look amazing: incredibly dense, healthy growth. You are in for an awesome harvest... I bet you take more from your 600 than I pull from 1k.

If you are worried about bottom buds not developing fully you could easily fit some supplemental CFLs underneath the canopy, pointing up. Or alternatively, you could do a staggered harvest and take top buds, wait a week and a half, and take the rest down.

The main reason why I participate as little as possible in the CO forums is because of the attitudes around here. I have been active on ICMAG since 2004, and even overgrow long before that. I never received attitude or even one hit of negative reputation till I started hanging around the CO threads

Maybe we all are suffering from a shortage of oxygen being a mile high. lol

There's a place off of 6th and 225 called the Big Tomato. Pretty big Hydroponics store and they stock lights.

Anyone know a place where I could take me medical records and get legal? I have some retarded bad arthritis/tendonitis in my left shoulder that normal pain killers either don't work on or just make me want to sleep. (Self treating is a way of life...I loathe doctors or visits to the doctor's office). If you know a place could you PM me the doctor and/or dispensory where I could do this?

I was in the Big Tomato last week. The guy I asked at the counter didn't seem to have even heard of Phillips Retro White CMH bulbs.
Got home and looked in the hydro farm catalog from there and I see no CMH bulbs.

I read some posting here on IC where someone went to a commercial lighting store. Took the Phillips part number with him and had them order him some bulbs. He claimed they were less than $40 each. I don't remember if he ordered 250 or 400 watt bulbs.

There is Aurora Hydroponics at the NE corner of Quincy and Chambers. They sell Sunlight Supply stuff. Their catalog lists the Phillips 250 watt CMH CDM250S50/HOR/4K/ALTO for $66.95 and the 400 watt CMH CDM400S51/HOR/4K/ALTO for $71.95
