Hey shishkaboy, you should have a hard time finding herb in the event. I am bringing down a couple of eighths of my Bruce Banner to "trade " just in case nice folks from outta town like yourself want to check out some "artisinal" local quality. I am sure there will be hundreds like me there.

BB is def on my "must do" list along with ghost og, deathstar, the truth, stardawg, and of course gotta try CO sour d.

I hope you still have some by, 4/20.

Look for the Kool Aid man with the intricately woven hairdo.

Cannabis Cup coming up this weekend. Reviews from those who have attended previously? Is it worth $50 for a saturday ticket?

WB SooperSmurph!

Unless I change my mind.... I'll be fishing.... somewhere in South Park.
Depending on the spring runoff of course.

Info for anyone headed to the cup. I went yesterday, so here is what I experienced. First off, I drove for 2 hours over several mountain passes, through ice and snow. I was happy to get to the event at 12 exactly. This is when doors where SUPPOSED to open. I was greeted with the longest line I have ever seen in my life, my guess is about 30- 50,000 people deep ! I thought about turning around right then ! There was lots of medicating and recreating in the line , this managed to keep most folks pretty calm for a bit however as it neared 1 oclock , a FULL HOUR later that scheduled time they started to let people in at like 10 a time ! I made it in at about quarter to 2. So it took me about 2 hours to get in the door. It seemed like quite a few folks were struggling to find flowers to enjoy. I mostly went to find seeds and meet breeders whom I look up to. I did manage to find some decent beans and spent most of my money at the Motarebel booth. The main attraction seemed to be ANYWHERE dabs were happening. Massive lines formed and almost every booth had a dab rig going ! It seemed like it was "new" to many attendees and most flocked to it like crack ! Plus it seemed like the only way to get a free buzz if you didnt come prepared. INSIDER INFO : The only place I noticed selling flowers was BOGs booth, so if your looking check him out. I was really hoping to get some of his SSK but my luck... he's currently out til october. It was cool for me just meeting him , as he is a bit of a Legend to me , as is Scott from Rare Dankness, I wish I had spent money at their tables, but only had so much to throw down. Be prepared or be ready to stand in serious lines for everything. Hope you have a good time if you go. Happy 420 yall !

vendors entrance... noone checks any wristbands or anything... after that its just about blending into the crowd.
merchandise mart is easy as piss to sneak into....
didn't go this year, but told some people about vendors entrance.... worked like a charm.

also, last year my friends said they had more fun in line with people than they did once getting inside, i was kinda bummed hearing that after getting in with my vendors passes and learning the "loophole"

I ended up going yesterday and had a good time. From speaking with somebody who had gone yesterday they said the crowds were wayyyyy more manageable Sunday vs Saturday. I finally got inside the venue around 2:30 I think and there was no line whatsoever. I brought some flavors to trade for other flowers, etc. Going through Bag check, homey said, "That's under and ounce right?" - I hadn't even bothered weighing it out but sure. Got to see BOG again just like last year and managed to get some of the Sour Bubble. They were already out of flowers at that point. I also got to briefly meet Scott at Rare Dankness and got a pack of Lee Roy as well. They had an overwhelming amount of good seeds to choose from.

Skipped it entirely, was sorta planning on going sunday but heard enough negative things to keep me away. Sad I missed meeting the Rare Dankness guy, but meh.

Good luck to the guy trying to find good rec weed, its a pretty tough weekend to do it in the shops. My first trip out here was a week after the cup, man everywhere was freaking sold out, it was rough.

It's that time of year here in Colorado. I got a few veggies going for outside. In the south I would have had all of this in the ground in March. :)

I woke up today to an honest 4" of very wet snow here in Denver & the prospect of 28-29F lows tonight. It's been a very wet spring.

The peas have been out for a month & shrug off the cold. My veggies are waiting to go out, too- tomatoes, melons, cukes & zuchetta (trombone squash). Excellent when picked at 12"-18" with rampant vines that need a lot of room, preferably on a fence.

We don't have much room, so we concentrate on stuff we really like. The zuchetta is worth the space.

Only a few inches where I am but its fucking crazy. The plant I pulled from flower because it wasnt keeping up went outside to reveg. And it didn't mind the snow at all.

Hey Dready,

I use a basement window well to wash out pots after chop and take apart the root balls from time to time. A couple of weeks ago I chopped down my PCK mom that I had hit with some Cherry Bomb dust and made a few seeds. I guess I had some seeds wash into the rocks and dirt and a few days later, I spot a couple of sprouts emerging. This was during a cold and wet spell that's been going on here along the front range with temps dropping down into the low 30s with snow and sleet.

I know we've all read countless threads about problems in getting seedlings to thrive under near textbook perfect conditions, and then to see young sprouts pop up like this under the worst circumstances, is pretty amazing. I plan to let these grow and train or crop to spread out in the window well. Just can't bring myself to pull these up since they've come thru much harsh conditions. Just a few inches under the rocks and potting soil is prairie clay and that's what they will be growing in pretty soon. I get about 3-4 hours a day of direct sun light and several hours of reflected in my window well. Not planning to feed any nutes, just water as needed. Just want to see what results I get from native soil.

Hi Avi,

I think after a couple more cool nights it will finally be springtime along the Rockies and these little ones will really take off.

i read some history about colorado, when i was living in salida....
buena vista was at one time the head lettuce growing capitol of colorado, and was located centrally in the state, easy to transport to where it was needed at the time....
everyone started growing head lettuce in the upper ark valley.... until one year a hard freeze happened late in the season, shut everyone down.
the next year, noone was growing head lettuce in BV... the bubble had burst thanks to funky colorado weather patterns.
im guessing this years late freeze & snow was a similar event to the one that burst the lettuce bubble in buena vista
