Are you saying that vertical, bare bulbs are illegal?

I can't speak with any authority, but they probably are in some locales because of existing fire code.

That's not about growers per se, but about fixture types in industrial settings. The same applies to using UL rated hardware. Combine that with an official aversion to caregiver ops, and, well, there you are.

I suspect that the City & County of Denver is perhaps more lenient than many of the 'burbs.

Personally, I think that 'plant count' restrictions are stupid and wrong.

But you just Can't fix stupid!

Im just hoping that we can continue to modify public opinion, for the good.

I don't know much for the town but I can tell you that there's tons of biking and climbing out that way if you're looking to get outside more. Definitely a different feel for the outdoors stuff than the Denver/frontrange area - More of a desert feel.

Don't know about licensing over there. That said, my nephews live in the area, and I'll see one of them this weekend. I'd guess he's OK with it since he's not been talking of moving. If he has anything interesting to say I'll post back here.

My brother used to complain about the humidity when he mover there from Aurora. Said the open ditch irrigation systems Must contribute to the extra moisture.

And yes the housing is cheaper over there. I haven't been over there personally in quite a few years. lol I always thought it'd be a positive to be near the Olathe sweetcorn fields. Orchards too of course.

nearly every municipality in the state has restrictions in on residential plant counts. they dont care about rec or med its just limited plant counts... doctors papers dont do shit...

now u wana risk it and plan on fighting it in court?
i dont got that in me.... so I'd rather play safe
peeps just download PDFs of municipal code for the county u wana move into and search for marijuana, read everything twice, 3x, or until u get it.

aurora is fucked, personal exp. speaking here. they are busting home grows left and right in order to usher in the 21 new rec shops they just liscensed.
fucked thing is that almost every county/municiplity has these limits, just arent really enforced.

best place to be is unincorporated ANY county. where municipal code does not apply.

i know it may sound extreme, but call local sheriff & run ur plan by them.... no details of locatoin or anything touchy...
but ya "hey im looking to grow for myself and my wife (son/daughter/mother/father/roommate) we have our med. papers and are legitimate patients, want to be sure we know all the rules and regulatoins before moving into your town/county"
once again, i know that sounds extreme.... but not a bad idea, was suggested to me a long time ago by old time pnw grower i knew and only now do i feel this advice is worth heeding in colorado due to quickly shifting political and legal atmosphere surrounding caregivers and sizeable residential grows

best of luck peeps, keep yall heads down and play it safe

Avi;
I have a place in Chaffee County (Arkansas River Valley), Unincorporated.

Don't know if the County is 'friendly' or not, but haven't had any issues with them, and I have grown in a converted 'tin shed', for two summers now. lol
