Been hittin up different spots of the Ark. the past couple weeks. BV, Salida, Royal gorge. Dogs have been aching to do some swimming. Trails are beautiful this time of year. Nice to get a little humidity for the skin as well. Almost think your in different states when walking the trails. No need to leave the state.

For all of you now in CO coming from somewhere humid, I have something to offer- Dove soap or Lever 2000 body wash. Zest is out of the question.

OTOH, sweat actually evaporates here, like it's supposed to do, rather than just dripping off.

big horn sheep canyon is alot of fun, but might as well make it the full day trip and go to canon city all the way to the white water park!

Omg 5 days in the hospital, that's what I get for avoiding doctors for 10 years...

If I weren't in CO I woulda been diagnosed a lot faster, massively acute dehydration, but they were so focused on the weed in my system they couldn't see anything else. I was like a miner in the old west, so drained of fluid they couldn't even perform certain tests, hallucinating badly, took a full day on two IVs just to get me hydrated enough to give lumbar fluid samples, I lost consciousness for several days, only to wake up in the ICU with them still thinking some kind of weed variation was bedeviling me. Staff was amazingly courteous, just wish they were more educated about weed lol

Dang! Actually this morning was the worst I've felt since getting here and need to get on pounding some water...especially with the heat starting to hit.

haha! welcome to the land of no humidity! its even worse down south man. Its so strange because growing up in georgia i would sweat like crazy and know to drink water, but i will get in a groove here riding my MTB or hiking and i wont sweat at all and will forget to drink. Have to be much more conscious of it here because once you get behind on the agua it takes a few days to catch back up

Oh, yeh- lots of non-natives sleep with a humidifier, say it helps a lot with that. Born & raised here, it's just something that one either doesn't notice or simply accepts as the way it is.
