Wow, I had never thought about Colorado as a prime outdoor growing state until somebody mentioned the zero humidity! How well does that work out for you guys?

It doesn't!

Most of the available strains are meant to be grown in 50-75% humidity,... yeah, I measure 5-25 regularly.

Temps are all over the board with average fluctuations of arount 20 degree's day/night

First freeze here is normally late october, and will kill most strains,.....

Outdoor here SUX! ;)

gone done fucked me up!!!!!! Greenhouses don't count!!!!! ;)

I've been native since I can remember (momma moved here when I was wee tiny!) so mostly I can't stand tourists.

Again growing outdoor here sux ;)

it aint cali, but you can make it work with some effort ........ i don't think free light ever sux. the rectangle will never hold a candle to the triangle as far as outdoor goes, but i have smoked and grown some good outdoor crops here. to be fair i have had miserable failures because of the weather, but that is a roll of the dice.

free lumens should be taken advantage of:)

There's a about the same amount of humidity here as in northern California in the summer time.
80% humidity right now in the fort, 90% humidity right now in Santa Rosa, Ca

(Keep in mind that we spent 2010 living in Sonoma County, California)

Sonoma County Coastline

In Colorado as the day heats up the humidity drops to around 10%
then as night approaches the humidity rises

California has MUCH higher humidity in the winter months making indoor growing a real moldy mo-fo

Only knock on Colorado growing is the soil, rocky as can be
All of my flower beds and veg garden are raised or in containers
full of good soil

Colorado has MUCH better water than California does
California water is nasty to water plants, shower with or drink

So if you use containers with good organic soil you can grow great plants
outdoors here using Colorado water and sunshine
(we are a mile closer to the sun than the California growers hahaha)

LSD strain this morning
My wife named her "Lucy"

A added bonus to using containers is that I can move them into a locked shed at night
to prevent theft, avoid violent storms, early frost, etc

I guess if I light proofed the shed I could force flower them early
but I'll let nature take it's course

Lots of heady live music this weekend: Reggae on the Rocks, Nedfest, and Groundation at the BellyUp in Aspen, Sunday night.

We're heading east tomorrow for Nedfest, (Fri-Sat), and stopping in Aspen Sunday night, for Groundation!! :yay:
I am so excited! It should serve as a good trial run for my new hip! I can't wait to shake a leg!

Hope to "see" some of you there; even if only from afar! :)
So, if you see a 'young-ish' girl, with long straight brown hair, hobbling around with a sticker-ed up cane, give me a wave!
....Or better yet, a hug!! :D

Have a fantastic weekend, neighbors! :joint:

Truly newbie to the BHO. Have made a few batches now and I still have no idea what the best method for smoking this stuff is. I have done knife hits, rolled a ball of it in some shake and smoked it out of the bowl, and now someone dropped off this contraption that has a glass rod with a dimple in the top and then a glass dome with a hole in the top of it for a carb I guess, either way I cant figure out how to use it.

SO the question is, How do you smoke your BHO?

Definitely get a Ti rig, it's the only way to fly. I'd recommend an HMK off aqualab.

+1. Another good setup is the quartz nail setup. Once you go with one of these two methods you'll never look at a bowl of green the same lol

So I'm new in town and I look up Nedfest...140 bucks for a so-called counter-culture "hippie" festival full of bands I've never heard of.

Hilarious, and so quintessentially Boulder Irony. (I'm just being a whiner, I'm still going and I love Boulder. Anybody wanna toke, I'll be the out of place looking white guy with a shaved head and a white norml T!)

Aren't the HSG made of quartz?

Ti(tanium) rules overall for flavor IMHO, and they do make Ti nails for dome setups... :)
