Sorry my answers are not happy

Sorry my answers are not happy

Your 5 weeks into flower and discovered the critters. Killing them will not help. Damage if any is already done. Reduced growth and yields. Just make sure you check for this early on in the next crop.

Examine them closely.

Is the body segmented or worm like? If segmented, how many?
Do they have any legs, antennae?
What about wings?

Describe them as best you can.

Those pics are really hard to make out but I don't see anything even remotely resembling whiteflies other than the color.

Not only that, but they washed out of the pot with watering which doesn't make sense for whiteflies as they aren't soil dwellers.
I've had them as well and I never had them washing out of the pots when I watered.

I could be wrong but I don't think they're whiteflies.

Examine your plants as well.
Especially the undersides of the leaves to see if you have any eggs, crawlers, or adults there.

Here's the lifecycle of a whitefly...... use these pics for comparison...

Any of that look familiar???

A closer look still has me a bit puzzled because I initially thought aphids but the body shape doesn't appear to be right either. The look to have a body type similar to that of an ant but I can't make out if they have legs or not. :chin:

Are your plants showing any symptoms of an attack?
If not, I wouldn't do anything but keep a very close watch on them at this point.
They may even be some harmless bugs that were wintering in the media before you bought it. Was it outside when you got it?

Perhaps you can put some of them in a baggie and take them into a nursery or other professional gardening business for identification. When I worked in the nursery industry that's what we encouraged our customers to do when they had pest problems instead of having them try and describe the problem.

You really should get an accurate ID on them though because you may not even need to kill them if they're not really causing a problem.

I just can't figure it out with those pics... sorry. :badday:

BTW... what media are you using?

just enlarging the pic.... so I don't have to keep clicking it:D

I have no clue what ya got there core, you can flush with a strong solution of h2o2,15-20ml per gal of water. Sometimes H2O2 can kill critters. It may work and may not but it wont hurt the plants. Like others said, the eggs most likely were in the soil before you bought it. Good luck

i think your right about the first one my friend.... sorry i didnt see this earlier, but been sick. ok for the thrips, it is very simple and effective.
get some diatomaceous earth, and dust the plants. also apply a nice layer on the soil. it is a mechanical insecticide, so the bugs cannot develope a resistace to it, and not toxic to you as long as you wear a mask to apply it. it is very irritating to the lung though, because it is a milled algea skeleton.

adiatom forms a hard silica shell with fine scillia(fine hairs) that when applied to the surface of plants and the come into contact with it, pierces their delicate skin and they "bleed" to death quickly! i use it because they pop up on me from time to time. a hazard of my job. after application, all signs will be gone within a few days. it will work on 90% of the bugs you get in your room.

now the bugs in the soil, do what 70s said. the peroxide will kill anything soil bourne, and leave no toxic residue as well. just dont go crazy with it and use too high of a dose, because people also use it to dissolve roots out of perilite and hydroton for reuse.

sorry, i didnt see you said they came out of the soil. they are not thrips then, i forget what they call them , but 70s idea will work, and the other thing to do is let you soil dry out really well afterwards. those little buggers love wet soil, but cannot survive a dry environment. let your soil dry out after using the peroxide, and always let it dry out until your pots get light to lift until the end of this grow, then disinfect everything after your grow is done. those little bastards will kill your plants my friend if you dont get them under control.next grow, make sure flush your soil well with very strong( 40-50ml per gallon) peroxide and let it sit for two days before using it to prevent reinfestation!

Grab some of them little buggers up and put them in a sandwich baggie...take them to the grow stores...they can help you. I PROMISE! Most growstores that are worth their neem oil will know what bugs are what....most will have identification books and resources that we don't. If the first shop don't know, go to the next. Then when they properly identify the bug, they can offer a solution right there... That is my suggestion.

Symphilids
Small pests that are tan to white colored and look like centipedes. They are very deadly to the plants, because they burrow down into the roots and damage them by feeding of them. Your plants leaves will begin to die off. They are found mostly in soil composites that have not been cleaned, like soil that has additives in them such as animal manure.
(I know it will smell funny but sterilizing the soil in the oven for 30 min can kill any pests in the soil, heat to 350 for 30 min.) They are easy to tell if you have them, because they come to the top soil when your plant is being watered, if you find you do have them, use Fungus Gnat Killer (“B.T." a non chemical, biological control) in the powdered form. One application should kill it, just to be safe repeat every 7 days to kill off the larvae. Tobacco juice kills them as well! And nematodes.

copied from pest control guide, peroxide also works

thank you jonny that PM makes much sense....i will go for the H2O2 first as you stated it would be the most harmless.....if it wont work i will move on 2 the brimex that woz recommended....but the guy behind the counter said that it maybe would't help all the way.....as ,for the round up this will be my last resort....i just read the label and it said that it works verry long.....about 8 weeks...i would smoke it if i use it .....

Core, every month pull your plants out and EXTERMINATE with professional strength bug spray! And definately sterilize your soil, over, microwave, fire pit, something!
And you should not have pest ever.

ok willie i'l take precautions now that i have products ..thx mate

ok ...i went down 2 the girls and i toke 10L water (2.5 gal aprox) mixed it and poord it over the tops soil..i aslo poord 100 ml in the bottom watertray.....coz bugs came out the bottom 2...

then i proceeded with a birmex 100% biological spraycan ...i only sprayed the top soil and the watertrays for 5 seconds

if this wont work i'l proceed with the birmex solution...

will i need 2 repeat this after 7 days ..coz of the EGGcycles or lifecycles of the bugs...or just wait until the soil is bonedry.....

just let the soil dry. if it is the bugs i think they are, they cant stand dry soil, and will die off if any survive the peroxide.

Looks like a baby snake. lol. Maybe apply dursban as a drench. This kills all. Diazinon is an alternative. I am like 2000 miles from you so my critters may differ than yours.
Damn sproutco - theres a reason they took Diazinon off the shelves.

Just do a pyrethrin or permethrin or neem oil drench.

Or, just let the pots dry out REAL good, then go back to watering normally, see if that helps.
