COCO 250W ("The Pure" & Chemdog IX1) Using H3AD's formula.

The coco+gh combo is something the plants really like, and it also makes it easier for as a grower due to not having to repot as often as in a soilgrow.

The aircooled hood really made a ton of difference, and now I dont have to worry about temps at all. That's a load off my shoulders for sure.

I'm working on borrowing a cam, to get some quality shots for you guys, but I'll keep updating no matter what

Thx for dropping by guys, although there's not quite the usual amount of pics I use to throw in my diary. With work and my studies, I'm rushing through it all these days. Not much time to get my hands on a cam.

Ok so no pics...
I'll just give you the skinny, on whats going on with the girls.

They're on day 50, and I'm planning to let them go to day 70. I will be flushing for approx two weeks, which means they'll be fed for the next week, and then its PH'd RO until harvest.

They're starting to yellow up nice, some faster than others. So far the Pure's still look like they'll be ready sooner than the CDIX1's, but the trichs tell a different tale.

The average of the Pure's are about 50/50 Clear/Cloudy, and the CDIX1's are all the same cut so I just checked one of them. It came out @ around 30/70 Clear/Cloudy.


On another less satisfying note, I recently discovered Symphilds in several of the pots possibly them all. Not a heavy infestation, I saw maybe 3-4 on top of the coco while watering. Fortunately a friend of mine had some Mosquito Dunks, which he sent me(thx again man), which I crumbled, and left soaking in RO water since yesterday. They've just been fed a liter each, which will hopefully kill them all. They'll get another shot in 7 days to be sure.

I must say that the smell of Pure's and CDIX1's together get pretty funky. I was moving one of the Pure's and as I rubbed it against a CDIX1, they stuck together! I fought them for about 10 seconds, but DAMN the smell from that fight, was lingering in the air for hours.

EDIT: I tried the cam again to see if it would cooporate at all. I managed to get a few shots.

Day 69 Flowering(2 days left)

Sorry I havn't updated as muck as I'd liked, but without pics, everything gets less interresting to follow, so I wanted to wait until I got some shots.

I've been giving them straight PH'd RO for the last 10 days or so.

Yields are looking to less than my soilrun, when I compare my Pure's to the pics of them in soil from my last grow.
I think it's because I let them strech too much under that 110W CFL they vegged under, because I had to get my vents and fans ready for the 250W HPS.

I'm still trying to get to know the cam, so bear with me if the shots are a little off. At least they're better than with my broken cam

You didn't let The Pure go for too long?

We'll TFD says 56 days, but in my last run with them, I took them to 62 days, and they looked like they could take a week more easily. So I thought I'd try 70 days.
The trichs are mostly cloudy, and only a few amber, so I think they like to be taken a bit late. Time will tell

"King Harvest Has Surely Come"

Hi guys, thx for the kind words

I wasn't too impressed with the smell of the IX1's it was very subtle, and almost no smell during trimming.
Then came the Pure.

Damn it smelled intense, almost hurt the nostrils. Very sweet, but also very strong smell.

K.J I'm glad I could inspire a Pure grow, keep me posted.

I promised the Mrs. that I'd let the cab cool off for a bit, so no next grow is on the table yet.
I am thinking about doing some nice sativas though, possibly with some pollenchucking in the mix. Should be interesting.

Anyway here are the pics I managed to snap yesterday.

I'll post more as they're drying/curing, along with weight numbers.
