Beak those plants look great. The new growth seems really strong. The two strains seem to have very similar leaves. It seems that the like the food your giving them.

Are there drainage holes on those cups?(cant tell from the photos ) If there are holes... are you watering from the bottom?

Your plan of going Filter > fan > Short duct > another fan > Air hood > Short duct > Out is not one I would've come up with, but the doesn't mean much!! lol Keep us posted on how it works out.

Alright off to work for me.

good growing

Hi THoC:)

Yes there is drainage holes on the bottom, and lower-sides of the cups. I water them from the top with a little run-off each time. I've bottomfed them 2-3 times so far, but i prefer watering them from the top to wash out salts and such.

Maybe I'll only use a single 110cfm fan to drive my exhaust(through the hood), but if it struggles I'll try two.

Hi gonz:)

I'm glad they've survived aswell, and I'm excited to see how they do. Thx again.

I dont have much time, as I'm leaving in the morning, to go on vacation until monday. I have a friend who will be watering my girls.

Just thought I'd throw in some pics.
They're in 2,2l pots now, but they're still under the 110W cfl, as the MH got too hot, or the fan too loud. I'll be getting a speed controller for the fan when I get home, and then I'll hopefully be able to get the MH up and running.

See y'all on tuesday or so:)

Hi krushonkush:)
So far I'm very pleased with coco, and the feeding couldn't be easier. I'd like to water them daily, but my schedule means I water them every other day.

When they get put on 12/12 I'll water them daily, with about a liter each, and by that time they'll be in 11L pots. I'll repot straight from 2,2L to 11L this week.
They're still under the 110W CFL, but I've ordered a speedcontroller for my inline fan, so I'll be able to put the 250W HPS in for flowering, which I'll start this weekend.

They're branching quite nice, and I can't wait to flower them.

Here's some pics of the girls

To all the lurkers: Thx for stopping by:)

Hey Bro! Not lurking... working! :/

The grow seems to be going great. I have a feeling that your whole whole closet is going to be packed when you switch to flower. Do you think the growth of the Pure this time around is much different than your last run? But that one was from seed right?

Anyway everything looks great.
grow well

Hi THoC:)
I'm quite busy with work and my studies these days aswell. Hard to find the time for everything.

The Pure's are branching more than they did last time(Yes they were from seed last time), but due to the fact that I'm only using 110W CFL for veggin this time compared to the 250W MH the first time, It's hard to compare them accurately.
It does look like however, that my cab will be just as packed as last time, and I'm hoping for just a good harvest as last time.

Flowering day 1

Hi everyone:)

Finally I recieved my speed-controller, and was able to get my girls under the 250W HPS instead of the 110W cfl, which was starting to strech them a little, due to the lack of room in the "sweet spot" under the light for all 6 plants.

Here's a shot of the new setup:

The 170 cfm inline fan draws air from outside the closet, and pushes it through the hood, and out of the closet again. Both intake and exhaust holes are on the top of the closet, but in different ends.
To catch the smell I'm letting my 110cfm pc fan pull air through a charcoal-filter from inside the closet. The intake for this exhaust is a passive intake in the bottom of the cab.
I have a circulation fan hanging directly above the passive intake to blow fresh air on the plants.

With this system I can keep the temp between 26,5-28.5 degrees celsius, which is a good deal colder than I could get it without the hood at the same nioselevel. My PC fan is turned quite abit down due to noise, but I'll might play around with the ducting, to fix it later.

I'll repot the girls to their new 11l homes today or tomorrow, and I'll be sure to snap some shots of the transplanted plants.

Well here they are after their first night

The chemdawgs below are branching very nicely, and even though they first started doing it almost a week later than the pure, they've caught up perfectly.

good job as always beak...at growing and taking quality pics

i checked out your first grow thread...and i want to tell you...that it is one of the best threads to check out for someone staring out...perfect details of everything...together with your photos....I take my hat off

you have a talent for showing something to other people...and I am glad I checked out your posts...it gave me a good feeling that someone can make a *perfect* diary of a grow

and skunk #1 (the pure) seems like such an undervalued strain...considering its quality

Hey Beak,

Everything looks really good. So how long did you let them veg to? Good to see the HPS on... I was wondering where you where exhausting the filtered air?
Alright keep up the excellent work bro.

Thank you for the kind words sf:)

I really enjoy doing diaries, as it helps me keep track of what happened when and stuff like that.
I agree with you on The Pure, you get so much for such a low price.

Hi THoC

They veg'ed for about 30 days, and I plan to flower them around 70 days.

Heres some pics of my vent intakes/exhausts on the top of the cab.

The exhaust from the PC fan with the charcoal filter is the white flextubing in the back. It just blows the air towards the window.

The one in front of that is the intake for the inline/hood, and it has a nylon stocking pulled over it for dust and lightproofing

The exhaust from the inline/hood, is covered by a box for lightproofing.

As you can see, the lightproofing is needed;)

I'm repotting as we speak, and I'll be back with pics later today.

Bye for now

Hi Bambam:)
Yeah the plants really love coco, as long as you remember to water them often enough.
I'll be sure to check out your grow.

Hi RealSupreme
Thx for stopping by:)

Hi THoC
The panties were some of my girlfriends old ones.
I'm still watering them from the top, and will prob do this until chopping-day.

As for the inside shots, I've snapped a few here after the transplant:

Yeah I'm glad i chose coco:)

Flowering day 6

I was feeding the girls today, and after i watered the first two, I noticed that some of the plants were clawing a little bit, and I also saw this on a few leaves.

So I gave them al a liter of straight ph'ed RO instead of their usual feeding, which at this time is 1 liter every other day. The two that had already been fed today only got 1/2 liter ph'ed RO, to avoid overwatering, since they've recently been repotted. They will get another 1/2 liter tomorrow.

It's great to get the temp under control, and the setup is SO quiet at night, because only the circulation fan inside the closet, and the 110cfm pc fan sat at the lowest setting is running at night. The inline get shot off shortly after the HPS shuts off.

Here's som shots of the Chemdawgs IX1's

and here some Pure pics, and some pics of them all together.
