fucking baked haha

fucking baked haha

2 filters on the fan to keep the air system clean.

door finished, super light proof :D

1 ballast up. Once the tray situation is figured out, i'll possibly have need for the second tray/light haha! but all ready to go

getting there, and no need for an A/C everyone, been a solid 77 all dhey :) 81 in the tray w/ the dome on it. 1 foot from light @ 50% power.

this fucking shit is so loud, i forgot about living with the constant fan noise. Muffler when I can splurge

Panda film floor

So the two trays, too big :( jigsaw - metal blade - should I trim those edges? Then I can fit between two tray tables and work the whole room :shucks:

almost killed two seedlings today, fuck I almost killed 4 actually :muahaha:

Soon will be before/after pictures :) and new thread of all the wild strains I got coming through!

But first I need some help on the tray cutting, anyone?

Mannn.... no action? really none?

w/e fuck ya'll im so stoked on this room/setup and the potential :)

Cutting the trays down today. Buying some pots, transplanting the dixie cup plants and then going to sow seeds via root riot.

Maybe making tray tables today but won't need it just yet, once the seeds make it into real pots, then i'll have to drain run off.

Second ballast/light not in use, temps are 77 period. all day yesterday 77, all night 77.

right now 75 actually, isn't hot in socal yet.

Time for work.

Before / after pictures and then new thread.

That space is white! Looks good bro. Whats the panda film door for? An extra layer of protection from light leaks?

How much of the edge you plan on cutting off those trays? They look like they have a 2" lip.

Need to start a new grow thread

Need to start a new grow thread

Got everything done, except tables for the trays, theres time for that, plenty. but now the 2 trays fit with me inbetween them so I will be able to fully utilize both of them and fill the closet up.

Panda film flooring, nothing on the door, on the floor for water protection and to keep it cleaner. Just want to get this set up as simple and intuitive as possible so that its easy to use/efficient.

I need the A/C for the two lights, but only one A/C will definitely do it. maybe even mine :)

I think I'm going to thin my intake filter so that it has a higher air flow, or maybe I should make a second? hmmm. But for sure, I need to get more air moving into the room because it was 79 today and thats one light, 50%.

Im lazy and want to play this awesome free beta video game that is like diablo 3 but not $ based. fucking gay blizzard schemes ruining games. Game is path of exile, check it out :) Path of Exile

so that means before/after pictures later and new thread tmrw.

Night terror OG x4
Blackwater OG (fem) x2
OG Kush x7
Cush x11
2 randoms
2 possibly mature and will grow trainwrecks

:woohoo:

Thread is on standby until I do the attic exhaust work.

The Light proofing tutorial didn't happen due to the lack of traffic in the thread.

Thank you for your support everyone, I hope I helped some one, taught some one, shared knowledge or just a good time through my experience.

Back in business!

Back in business!

All outsiders doing construction/electricity work should be out of the house by the end of this week.

Time to upgrade and get set up for a perpetual!

The attic exhaust Idea is grand and still feasible since I'm vegging - but it hasn't proved necessary at the moment. I want to do it but I'd like to see how this grow pans out with the current setup.

If my window banger can't handle two 600watters @ 100% - im getting a super sexy 12000 btu haier portable A/C - 400$ Home depot.

Many upgrades coming along.

I am going to tie up the duct into the corners of the room so that I have maximum room.

There will be a few days I will empty out the room of the plants on one side to do a lot of good things.

To Do List:

Cut table legs by 1 foot - I want higher clearance for easier training and larger plants - this might not happen and if it does it will be the last thing I do before I reposition the plants onto the tables.

Redo Intake by increasing size from 3"x10" to 10"x20" - hoping my design is light proof.

Completely light proof the door by nailing down some permanent weather strip - opposed to the simple one sided sticky mess.

Re mount Carbon filter / fan to be as close to ceiling as possible.

Install new MH bulb.

Install second ballast and get the new cooltube/reflector fired up for the first time!

Unpack and set up veg tent with T5, fans, thermometer and shelving.

Completely clean floor, walls, trays, tables and equipment for transition into flower.

Mount hygrometer/thermometer permanently in closet.

Install new Wall mount osc fan.

Mount notebook holders - documenting each strain separately to keep it easier on myself.

Repaint door

reposition ducting.

And last but not least - install shelving for storage/organization purposes - Nutes - feeding equipment - training equipment - bla bla all this fawking shit needs a home finally!

I'll post some fun pictures.

:thank you:

Few Upgrades Completed

Few Upgrades Completed

This thread is to document my closets progress to completion for perpetual flowering.

Completed remounting of the Fan/Carbon Filter - I bought those wanna be - 150 lb rated climber hook things to mount the equipment as high as possible to the ceiling.

I want to do the Ceiling Exhaust but its not going to happen this summer. It might not happen at all if the current setup proves viable.

I installed the second ballast and ignited the second light for the first time!

Finally my investment is in use. Ballast required the foam padding and weird positioning to cease humming from the very powerful cooling fan. This new ballast is better in so many ways vs the old one. +R for Apollo Horticulture.

Both Ballast are at 50% power till I have the trays sorted out and clones.

The plan is to put the females / bigger plants on one tray and the seedlings and smaller plants on the other so that I may lower the light and increase photosynthesis.

Both lights have been raised to maximum height for easier access and planning.

Going to measure the distance and understand the limits to really be able to utilize the growth cycle/light accordingly and not just have it sitting on the ceiling forever. Bought rope hatchets for a purpose...

For instance - say the Black water OG stretches x3 in flower - requires extensive training and flowering onset at 1.5' for optimal distance from the light source during the cycle. I'm not just trying to get high :) I LIVE FOR THIS!

Reduced ducting in a few places.

Re-positioned fan and removed one of the air filters to increase CFMs. Helped more than I could imagine. I have an A/C filter on it just for large particles. This is the last of my worries but one day I will have charged reusable filters ensuring clean air throughout.

Last thing I did yesterday was create a cloning space under the right table.

I'll be installing lighting and the heating pad/dome/tray setup so that I can start cloning tomorrow.

Few upgrades for now.

Wall mounted Fan possible installation - 5-29-13.

Cloning/Temp Cloning station - 5-29-13 - for sure.

Mixing a lot of medium tomorrow for up potting all the girls. Coco + Growstones is a great medium - Happy about experiencing the combination before, thanks to the 2012 Indoor Gardening Expo.

Practically out of Veg Nutes! heeeheee!

:thank you:
