Hello IC, well im near completion for my closet grow...soon ill put a 600w hortilux hps with a lumatek ballast...i already have a EconoAir 4in inline. I have pics below of my set up...but i had a few questions. With that bulb i plan on getting, the ballast has 2 options 120v or 240v, with this set up which one should i get? Now my other concern is height. The space is 2ft wide, 32in deep, and 60in high...now minus abotu 10in for pots and the light i have 33in of total grow room..is this worth while? another q is if i use SCROG and lst, will the plants produce with alright yield? thanks for an response! i need all the info i can get..

Erm, 120V is for north america, 240V is for europe. Does that help?

I think you might have problems keeping such a small area cool with a 600W bulb. My tent runs at 80-85f with a 600W and it's 4ft x 4 ft x 6ft. But it totally depends on your ventilation and if you have AC or not. Where are you venting out?

LST and Scrogging will get you the biggest yield from your grow, it will also allow you to control the hight of your plants. It's totally worth the extra effort and can produce great results.

But your setup looks great, don't be afraid to ask more questions!

The scrog will work fine, 4 plants under the 600 trained to fill the cabinet, wall to wall. The 600W lamp generates 2050 btu per hour into your 26.6 cu ft grow cabinet while Sammet generates the same in a 96 cu ft cabinet with temps of 80-85f.

You will have heat problems. You have a lot of ducting running around there, shorten the runs. In line fans suck better than pushing and cool better if you are pulling outside air through the hood/reflector instead of preheated air from inside your cabinet as it appears you are set up to do.

With proper care your plants will scrog beautifully and turn out some fat colas providing you know how to grow, really know how to grow. You will have to resolve the heat issue before you begin.

When you think you have it dialed in put 4 3 gallon pots with wet soil into the cabinet and do a test run for a few days. If you can keep temps around 78f you will be ready to start the grow, if not then re-evaluate your approach. If you have any doubts about proper grow temps then use the search engine at the top of this page.

There are options that allow for higher temps however I did not go there as it appears your grow is constrained in size and further investment isn't the best use of your money given the cabinet size.

Also search Micro Grows, one entry below this one (Grow room Designs and Equipment) most mini-grow issues have already been answered dozens of times before,

well thanks for the info guys...about the heat issue....the room (house) is Air conditioned and kept at around 76deg F. but inside the cab i plan on using 2 6in clip fans....although i know i need an intake fan, im not sure how to rig that as my door to the cab will most likley be a plastic tarp...any thoughts?

I have a closet grow that has an active intake through the floor. Makes a huge difference due to the constant cool temp under the house. I run anywhere from 1000 to 1400 watts in there and can keep it between 75 to 85 degrees. I know cutting a hle in the floor is extreme, but what the hell - it has served me well. This is assuming that you are in a house with a crawl space underneath.

Howzit bro? Well first off is that foil on the walls? Second you might be able to pull it off with a kick asss inline fan....like fantech or vortex. You will have to flower from clone since I know you dont have much height. That 6 to 4 inch reducer also pust a big damper in the flow. Get a 6in fan instead of a 4in. Here area couple pics of mine.

Air intake from the cab floor or as low as possible = a good thing!
