Clones in Colorado?

This winter I bought a clone from LaContes to fill out my MMJ numbers. They had the store divided into a Med and a Rec side with those rope dividers they use at the door of night clubs to let people in. Anyway the Rec and Med clones were on the same counter and they were the same clones I think. People just stood a couple feet apart separated by the rope dividers. Screwed up or what?

Medical Marijuana of the Rockies in Frisco is really good. I haven't bought clones from them in two years but I know that they really take pride in them. They have been carrying the same strains for years too. Some are bleh but most are nice. I would have to warn against the doom and gloom that everybody is preaching on here about clones though. I try to keep an eye out for critters and nasties when buying clones and have been lucky. That's also not to say that I quarantined some cuts coming in that were suspect and hit them with neem oil sprays and such. I've been gifted clones, bought and traded them off of craigslist and also purchased from two different clone shops.

Clones from a known entity are best, La'mites is definitely a last resort.

Try pming some local growers here and on Facebook, clone swaps are much less shady than they used to be.

I was at livwell on broadway recently and they looked to have a good selection of clones for 15 (i think?) bucks a pop. May take a closer look if I need to fill out my garden. I didn't see what strains or anything.

edit: i have heard bad things about their shop, but have had good experiences thus far. the staff isn't really knowledgeable, but the products are fine.

Grabbed a couple of clones from L'Eagle yesterday. 25 bucks each, they said their stock rotates quite a bit but they usually have some in stock. They all looked to be in pretty good shape with no obvious issues, slightly on the small side but looked good other than that. Will be making them my clone spot to fill out my garden.

Okay, so mighty wash/ azamax/ eagle 20 should be used anyway with incoming clones. Cfl in a cardboard box in an alternate room. 72 hours at least. Mites suck so bad, its not worth it. Centennial seeds in Lafayette if you want seeds too.

Oh most definitely, they stayed in their little cardboard box for a while and were treated/checked.

I worked in a grow and I'll tell you the clones dispensaries give out are their weaker clones. They don't want to be giving out elite genetics, so I doubt you will find gg#4.

There's this new, super reliable cloning service, endorsed by various local growstores, dozens of local references, I think his name is something like... Smurph?

:)

Deal with home growers. All my clones have come from craigslist ads. Honest folks for the most part. Out of 4 transactions 3 were clean and one plant had fungus gnats, and that one came from a large scale MMJ grower but was easy to identify and clear up. Home growers seem to be much more free of bugs than commercial outfits.

Oh yeah, I worked in a grow for a month before I quit because of the shitty hours and minimum wage. It's really a joke the amount of bugs you can find.

Craigslist has some gardeners with better reps than Med/+21 spots...
Ask questions and ask to see the grow if they will. explain your concern and "Expect" a decent reply. If not ...well; create a strain. Master it to the point your phenotype of the genotype is desired

I got OG Kush and Purple Urkle clones from The Clone Store in Denver and both were sub par. The OGK had a strong odor, but lacked potency. I'm currently growing Sour Boggle and Chemstar from seed both of which are stronger than the OGK and PU from the dispensary. They had Reserva Privada beans there and my guess is that they just popped a few of these beans and are selling them as the real deal.

SS, thx for the info. I had thought seriously about Craigslist as a source for clones. A few sounded like legit elite cuts. Based on what I've seen here, next time I will probably quarantine any cuttings I get.

I've gotten multiple craigslist clones and they were decent. Nothing to brag about. Then I started a feminised super lemon haze seed and it blew the 18 different strains of clones I recieved from all over Colorado. Start from a seed. That way you know it won't come with any problems unless you put them there. If you do want to get clones from a med/rec shop I would never recommend Karmaceuticals. I bought a few clones from them and 1 was hermie and the bubblegum strain was terrible. Do your research. Find a good seed company with good strains and make sure it's a well known seed company. Enjoy.

Here's my Super Lemon Haze from Green House Seed Co.

I guarantee you'll brag about my clones, every time.

And if you like Super Lemon Haze, you should try my East Coast Sour Diesel, classic genetics that truly represent SOUR diesel, with the hint of sweet lemon that cuts through the diesel overtones.
