Hello everyone  Welcome to my outdoor grow log for this years outdoor season. I will be growing alot of plants this year so it might get interesting :woohoo: Have the first group up and going and they are looking strong. I have 18 seedlings from a fellow grower around my area that are called fruity pebbles. These seeds were given to me by a friend of my fathers. I have smoked this weed many times with multiple people and everyone agrees that it tastes just lik friuty pebbles :yummy: I also have five of my strain Cozmo that are older than the others. I only germed five for a test since these are fresh seeds I made last year. They all came up so I planted 50 more the other day. :yoinks: The larger plants are my mothers that have been neglected all winter and are just now coming out of it. I took 8 clones last night from the Bubba kush mom and will be taking about that many from the OG in a few days. The Uranium Cranium is really taking off :woohoo: Have three clones rooting of her and with her awsome growth I will be taking at least 15-20 more :yoinks: Thanks to Mole for an amazing strain. Well enough of my Kush induced rant, here are a few pics.

More pics to come........................ :woohoo:

Are you starting all seedlings straight from the seed then outside or are you vegging inside for a bit first?

The OG kush (1st pic) and fruity pebbles are a little small right now aint they to go outdoors. At least on the east coast were iam from, would be toren away from wind... My sour queens, african mix (freebee) and mystery pack plus SD are Veg. inside first then outdoors in 2-3 weeks for me :pimp3:

Hey Jayroach and Kov, Nice to see you guys  I do not baby my plants. There is new growth everywhere around here and the weather is awsome. 65 right now. :woohoo: I have a 400w MH that I am bushing the moms out under since the days are to short. I take the moms in at night and if the weather is going to be bad then I take the seedlings in to but they have been outside for the last week or so. I usually throw some shitty seeds in my flower bed and once those come up on there own then thats when I start. It is a weed.

We've been getting some pretty good weather too, not a cloud in the sky today. Always good to see new plants soaking up the spring sun. What strain was the trifoliate seedling?

:smoker: Looks like its going to be another great year for you. I'll be watching for sure. I had a plant one year that smelled exactly like fruity pebbles too. When it grew it smelled more like a lemon but after a good cure that's what it smelled like.

Thamks for all the kind words. Good to see some of the same faces showing up. The trifolate ia Fruity pebbles and I hope she stays a trifolate since I have always wanted to see what one looked like fully grown.

Great looking pics Clay, all your plants look very healthy and happy.

Looking forward to watching your grow this season.

I grew out a Whorled Phyllotaxy ducksfoot a couple of season ago. Your plant should theroretically yeild 33% more bud if the trait continues

Whorled Phyllotaxy = three or more limbs appear per node

A Trifoliate = having three leaflets attached to a central point.

enjoy, it looks like spring has finally arrived! It's supposed to be even nicer out today!

good luck

Thanks to all for dropin by  Captain, I can always count on you to set me straight :pointlaug I hope it is a whorled phyllotaxy instead of a trifolate. :bat: Captain did you know that you have been growing for 12 years longer than I have been on this earth!!

Cozmo

Cozmo

I have had some questions about my own strain Cozmo. These seeds were aquired by my father in the late 70s when he was in the air-force and brought back to illinois. Here they were grown by my dad and a small group of growers for some years with no selective breeding at all so there is really no telling what could have got in the gene pool through those years :chin: Eventually all the other growers stopped for some reason or another and about 500 seeds were put in a pill bottle in the early 90s. Once I became "of age" and was given access to these seeds about 5 years ago I already knew a great deal about breeding since we are farmers of many things. I began to selectivly cross the best male to the best female using flowering time, node density. calyx to leaf ratio and so on as the facors to go by. I dont have any plant pics since OG went down but the Bud pics are the two dominant phenos. One turns dark colors at harvest and has slightly smaller buds. The green pheno is the monster. Super dense buds. With this pheno 1lb per plant is possible. I hope to prove this in 06 :chin: Potency is extremely strong with both but the green pheno has the slight edge. These buds were cured for 6 months today. Any questions just ask...........

Looks delicious. About 6 months grow and a 6 month winter cure, now you can really enjoy your hard work.

I wasn't sure if that was the definition of whorled i have heard, so i looked it up. Its just a definition doesn't change the plant at all, but this is what i found.

WHORLED: Referring to the phyllotaxy of a plant that has three or more leaves attached at each node.

There are likely 3 shoot buds in at each of the 3 leaf axils, that when uninhibited by the meristem will grow branches.

trifoliate
adj : of a leaf shape; having three leaflets

Hey clay,
nice outdoor project you got planned for this :D I wish my arrangement allowed for me to do outdoor, but it's great to see people doing it up the way it should be that can :smoker:

Im interested in watching the fruity pebbles as a whole, expecially that whorled guy/gal comes out. The cozmo will be fun to watch too if they reach the 1lb. mark like you think they can :D

4-15 Update

4-15 Update

Things are growing good here  The weather has been so nice the last couple of days I havent even bothered to bring any of the seedlings inside. I have still been taking the moms inside just so they dont flower :chin: I figure that I am going to start putting the 5 older Cozmos and the 20 or so Fruity Pebbles in the ground in the next few days. The 75 that are just starting to pop are some various generations of Cozmos just to mix up the gene pool alittle :woohoo:

Baby Cozmos

Oldest Cozmos

Fruity Pebbles

Babby Cozmos

U.C. starting to green up after a long winter :woohoo:
