Cinderella 99 The Come Back

I grew them out. There's a full grow log here mixed in with others :)
Nice one. Please do you mind telling me: When did you end up cutting them by, and what was the smell like in late flower? looking for plants that dont have the typical "skunk-hybrid" smell that most can easily recognise...cant seem to find those details on your old post

Ah ok...Do you say its not pure based on stickbandits plants there, seeming to have purple phenos?(I read c99 dosent do that)

Disappointing as i had alot of trust in kwikseeds and trsc
No. I ran them before Sticky. See page 1 post #1 in these thread for further explanation.

I too have much trust in Angus and TRSC, but he is not a breeder and only farms these out to other people trusting whomever sends him seed to know what they are working with and what they are doing. That is not always going to work out. Maybe the person that made them simply didnt know what real Cinderella looks like.

I had a very nice cut I had selected of my F6 that was sweet fruit punch but I took a break for some peace last year and was not able to find anyone that wanted to keep her. I am a bit busy right now with some other projects but thinking about hunting a new pure C99 specimen shortly from the same F6 stock that I made a few years ago. I may also run the THH mint again. The two make quite an amazing pairing!

I am about to flower this cut out again soon, just getting her vegged at the moment.

Thanks, will do. They were nice anyway? I already have access to the seeds (trsc c99) so im thinking I may as well try...Looking for cultivars with a hard to recognise odour and was told c99 was an ok bet, most of the other suggestions have been pure sativas which i am fine with, but want to make sure i am nicely heeled with something fast like c99 before going down that route...

If you have access to pure sativas that would be my suggestion. The Sativas are mostly herbal carroty and rooty spicy smells when growing. The TRSC will probably give you skunkish like smells vs tropical fruit. I honestly do not think they are even 50% c99.

Right o, big thanks to you for saving me the trouble there. Any skunk smells and the wife is breaking my balls nonstop and rightly so i guess!

Thanks for giving me the warning. I was about to get a pack. But did it include the pineapple pheno at least?

I wasn't impressed at all by TRSC C99 seeds either after the smoke test. I heard from someone else they got a good plant so there might be a few in there, maybe a different batch...
DM @LostTribe , he's done all the leg work for you and I'm sure he can point you in the right direction :)

46 days ? I'm curious, are you going for racy, "clean the house" weed ?

I usually take the ones I've grown in the 54-60 day range. K.O.S. seeds origin. Wondering if I should chop a few buds early to see what I get. :mopper:
I wouldnt take them super early but you might try day 50 with some of the buds to see if it clears up your effects. My line of Peak origin hold plenty speed and racy even when taken around 58 days. Please link me some pics or pm me! I never ran the KOS. @Useless offered me some a long time ago but he hasnt been around for some time.

Yeah, I was thinking 46 days is a little early for me, was just wondering why Groot was chopping them and figured he might be going for racy.

I have a female K.O.S. C99 clone in flower now, just starting to bud. I already grew this one out in a small tester bucket and the high works for me.

Also have two C99 males from same K.O.S. seed pack in flower now that are spitting pollen, but looking close to being done. They've got a few aphids gnawing on them too, hard to spray without contaminating the pollen. Hoping I can clean, "the male tent" out soon and be rid of the pesky fuckers.

I may pollinate tonight on the first few pistils just to ensure I get some seeds and then do a second pollination on the same plant a bit later as more pistils emerge. I did clone the males, but they are nowhere near being ready to spew.

I can't promise seeds until I have them, but if I get some spares, I'll keep you in mind.

No pictures of the just started to flower female yet, but here's the boys from about 10-12 days ago.

Proper storage makes all the difference :good:

True.

They may have germinated without it - but, I also did a tissue culture protocol short of complete sterilization to pop this one.

If anyone has old seeds that won't pop in the usual way, maybe try this:

1) 1 part bleach and 4 parts ph'd water (around 5.8) with the tiniest amount of Sal Suds soap (surfacant/wetting agent) I could add in a small tube (around 10 ml) - shake seed for about a second or two and dumped into a 12 ounce glass of plain ph'd water and shaken up; after a couple seconds of that,

2) 1 part H2O2 and 4 parts ph'd water with the tiniest amount of Sal Suds soap I could add in a small tube - shake seed for a couple seconds and dumped into a 12 ounce glass of ph'd water with a pinch of sugar added to it, shaken up and allowed to soak for a few minutes; then,

Into wet paper towel (moistened by the rinse water used in the second step above) and onto a heat pad with the seed positioned to be at 80 F in temp. I put the paper towel in a plastic sandwich bag to make sure it doesn't dry out, but make sure there's plenty of air in the bag - the seed will need it as well to pop.

After about 12 hours - check to see if the seed has opened or is swollen larger than it was when you started, if it appears the seed absorbed as much moisture as it needs, make sure the paper towel is no longer wet - go with nice and moist, but not dripping wet from there on out.

This seed cracked within 24 hours in the paper towel, had a small tail sticking out 24 hours after that and I finally took the seedling out and planted it when the tail got longer 24 hours after that.

After about 12 hours like that is when I checked and saw the seed had cracked along its seam:

24 hours after that:

24 hours after that:

So - it took about three days in the towel until it was ready to plant.

I planted it about 3/8 of an inch deep and within 2 days the new seedling broke soil:

If your old seeds don't germinate with this method - sterile tissue culture may be needed to get them to pop.
