That wall in the back is near 7 foot these things are 4foot images a hard time trying to plant this year those god damn ants were eating my sprouts I thought it was the sun but a little bit of ant poison spray and like magic no more low germination/ survival rate i should have three tines as many plants flowering but I'm on my way for sure now.

I can keep plants until new years eve if their cold resistant I only get light freezing overnight weather maybe one day under freezing in daylight but ladt year I had plants grow well in to December
The oldest plants are from my birth day june 14

Lost Tribe asked if I would put up a link to this thread where the punch and metal phenos are growing.

There is O Haze about a month ahead also growing in another thread. I plan to make some Cindy Haze seeds.

Thanks Lost Tribe

Hi Yesum! I know I actually culled the #4 fdm way before the other fdm as it was too much. Some people might laugh and call us light weights, but I bet you and me could smoke them under the table you know. I don't normally share tokes on these even at social gatherings anymore. I remember even passing some Zamadelica at a reggae show a couple years ago to some nice people and one of the girls all of a sudden spun around with a not so friendly look on her face and pushed me out of her way as she got the heck out of there for a bit. I made sure to tell them it was African and I don't think they thought much of my warning.

I find the Pure haze and Toms to be clearer and longer but they do not put me over the edge even after a spiff. Its a great time but its does not make one feel the need to go run and hide from whatever evil you feel is after you in the moment like a Cindy can.

The Cindy I don't share period anymore, not trying to trip folks out and you just never know if you are sharing with a season head or someone that just decided to try a toke you know. Its not the mr nice guy stuff at all, more of a wailing banshee sometimes you know. I smoked the punch after a week break from herb and the first day got the paranoia but yesterday it was just the speed. The metal does not cause me paranoia but it is very potent to the point where you are on your feet moving about but you are not capable of figuring out exactly what you are trying to accomplish. A few hits is good, but pack a second bowl before you reach the apex and its easy to over do.

A couple testers are out and hoping they will get going over the coming weeks. If one shows up on an island paradise recall that cannabis is not native to the locality and was most likely imported by sailors as hemp for rope and rigging so there should not be issue with contaminating "landrace" cultivars.

If anyone is interested a few more packs are still available for testing purposes all that is asked is that you post in the thread so we can all follow along you should of course already have some grows posted. Later in the year I will try to make some available at the bay.

This batch is by all accounts some of the most psychedelic smoke one may find.
It's been a while since I checked back in here but this thread is the main reason I am even on icmag!

If there are still opportunities to test for you still available I would absolutely love a chance as finding a true representative of C99 is something I have been searching for the whole time I have been growing!

Thank you either way for all the incredible work you have done to preserve this strain

I would have probably done an open pollination, but each to their own.
I hope your outcome is at least as nice as what I got from them. I had two different looking phenos. One more indica style buds and a little more trichomes in it, but the more sativa leaning one tasted almost a tad better/stronger (floral/pineapple)
I kept them separated, but it was so close,I could have mixed them in the jars.
I didn't have a male only two females and pollinated them with a brush (with karma's SowahSherb)and out of all the strains I had then, the c99 took the pollen the best and also gave me the most seeds in the end.
Luckily I got the rest of that pack here. So i might just run into a male in the future.
Sadly I missed out on the Durban Thai high-flyer,but I managed to snatch a pack of the new strain "African queen"😁

They are looking great so far. Don't give up on the smaller/slower ones. That is where you may find something extra special. The more Sativa leaning Cindy's will show as slower and smaller in veg. The more Indica will show more girth and appear quicker in veg.

I found a much higher percentage of sweet fruity plants in the slower and smaller plants from the p1 generation I got from Peak. This does not mean there wont be any in the quicker fatter plants though. I still have several packs of p1 to run through if I need to.

As with any new seed runs you really wont know which is the sweetest and best overall smoke until they are harvested, cured and smoked. Keep a cutting of each or reveg them leaving plenty of lower growth when you harvest.

I am just checking in and trying to breath some fresh air. I'll be back before the years end. Thanks to everyone!

Peace

Mine were not close in smell or flavor at all. The fruitiest and sweetest ones were miles ahead of the more indica leaning plants, maybe you didnt find one like the Punch...

I only ran a pack how many females did you get? I had 7 or 8 over 2 grows. I still have 2 or 3 packs I got from Peak incase it needs further work... I may have to backcross to really bring out the sweet fruit in the progeny, but testing should give us a clue.

Thanks everyone especially @flylowgethigh and my island friend! @Goodherb blessings!

Not 100% sure which plant the bud belongs to but I think it's the broadleafed one..anyway..those two tasted almost identical

Hey CC,

Nice to say hello again. My take is the same as your initial thinking - that Cindy99 is a fast version, at a minimum, of at least some of the genetics of Jack Herer. One could surmise, that if the bud that the original Princess came from, the mother of C99, was originally bought as Jack Herer, that there could at least be better than 50% chance that the father was a JH too. Maybe a late male that did not get noticed in time. Guess we will never know for sure. We do know that the label on the bought bag said the mother was JH. I have always too favored JH type strains and well worked hybrids thereof. Cinderella 99 certainly qualifies in that realm. I have some other JH derived strains, other than what I am currently working with now, Vortex (Genius x P75 x Romulan x Cindy99), and am anxious in the next little while, when I get settled in more so still, to start on my own F2 projects with them, Brother x Sister crosses exclusively. I have about ten well preserved variants from original paks I want to safeguard, none of which exists on the market nowadays. Take good care. Peace

Dear chakras,

There are phenotypes of Jack Herer, all JH variants are between 70 to 90 days until flowering is ready.

How exactly the emergence of Cinderella 99 has proceeded, will probably never be clarified?

From the inheritance of my friend and mentor, who was a sailor in the 60s and 70s, I got a box full of seeds. Among them original Brother Grimm Cinderella 99 from the late 1990s. Until the F5, this variety was grown outdoors, then disappeared in the refrigerator until he died.

I'm not a fan of modern multi hybrids, there are exceptions like the old Orange Bud which I still get as an IBL to this day alongside my landraces.

The Cinderella 99, now F8, has surprised me a bit since 2020 with its variety of smells and growth habit. We have also created new crosses in a collaborative project with landraces from Thailand or South America. Despite my aversion to hybrid varieties, we will keep Cinderella as an IBL.

Kind regards

In the first new approach with the original Brother Grimm Cinderella 99 Indoor, I selected from 100 seedlings of F5 and had two different types. Probably, however, there were more? Now that we have a real professional from Spain in the group, I am curious what else we will find with this genetics.

There are indications from research since 2020 that the location and soil conditions, for indoor the soil mixture, have a causal relationship in the formation of terpenes. This is to be evaluated as an influence like the spectrum with the light. I work with the spectrum very similar to the sun (CMH & LED).

I see this with my indoor system and the very balanced mixture with volcanic rock and worm humus as soil improver and the water which comes from my shrimp breeding.

Do we need to rethink how cannabis is classified within breeding?
