But what are reliable sources for that old school c99, the type with the crazy heart rush from back when she first popped on the scene back in the early 2000’s

Currently FDM seem most authentic.

Hi CannaOg - I got 8 Peakseeds C99 sexing out right now. I have four males, one female and three as yet un-sexed but suspected females.

Have you grown it or known someone who did?

If so, what do you think my chances are to get one out of four females that is old school Cindy?

IME males show first. C99 is known to preflower or at least show sex during veg. I would still put anything you don't have multiple big balls showing into bloom to be sure. From 1 pack of seeds its a crap shoot but normally c99 gives me like 60/40 females to males.

In the most recent JW release I didn't find any fruity plants in any of the 3-5 females I ran only what I would call grapefruit.

FDM definitely has some sweet and fruitiness to them. Hope to show everyone a second run on FDM soon. I also find the FDM to be stronger. I still have a bit of JW nugs so there have been many opportunities to compare.

FYI on the early FDM #4 pics I don't know what happened to the other pics further along before chop.

That pic is probably around day 32 or so I would say.

Just burned a chillum of this 4 hits and its a very happy smiling clear head very motivated happy stuff. The FDM #1 has more Indica to it and it had gotten speedy. Hence my dilemma. I love the 4 but the 1 sort of seems closer to an old school Cindy.

I really don't remember what the top 3 Cindy's I had back in '02 resembled as far as if they were scary vs just skyrocket highness.

I have decided to update this post to state that my current opinion is that in my honest opinion that FDM C99 is the current best representation of authentic Cinderella99 available in seed form.

Joey Weed C99
Nuggetshiners Foundry C99
FDM C99 F3 (Current keepers)

The 4 is my current fav it checks all the boxes, but the 1 is amazing too.

Any some incrossings.

Most recently the FDM C99 has brought back so many memories. Its the best Cinderella I have run sing GNO3. Thanks CB!

UPDATE

I have 2 cuttings of C99 #4 and 1 of #1 vegging away at the moment.

1 each have been transplanted into 5 gallon Dutch Buckets and placed in 18/6 under 600w HPS. I just got a new PPM Pen and am still learning how to use it. Grow nutes were way too high so they need some time to work things out but I hope to post some pics hopefully late next week.

I also put my C99 male into bloom about a week ago in a separate sealed 3x3 tent to just go NUTS! Both #1 and #4 will be getting a bit of seed but not completely as I crave the smoke!

My Cindy Project Update

Finally getting around to running the 1 and 4 in the hydro setup. The 1 may get pulled as I have had major issues with heat and overwatering as I built a new system based on an old set up I used for years. Overwatering was causing Mg lockout and the 1 suffered extremely. May just hit her with pollen and forget about smoke. I have two of the C99 #4 going and a male in week 4 of bloom. Already collected a bit of pollen too but hoping for more.

Sorry yes Fluer du mal. I also have a JW Male and want to pop some of these Peak Seeds I got. I want to find the right male to go with these two keeper girls. They are most like the originals I have run since GNO3 f3's I made probably haven't run any or gotten any to pop since like '07-09.

cuttings are looking good. The 1 i really wanted to bloom out as the last and first run it got completely seeded accident when I left an Archive Valley OG male in bloom too long awaiting roots on a cut of the same. It really grows like the original the 4 is lovely though and reminiscent of gno3.
