From semi sweet lemon to lemon pledge

I can't accurately describe the difference in buzz except to say it was different from what I remembered. I know that's not helpful.

Consider there was a 15 year gap in between the 1st and 2nd. So some of the differences could be in part me.

Tom Hill Haze 18w+ Mint Pheno Mother of LYLT. Might not look like much but until you fire this up you have not smoked Thai Haze.

The bud who produced the 3 girls who became Princess, Genius and Cafe Girl could have been from a Jack Flash, a cross of Jack Herrer and Super Skunk, producing fast flowering plants thanks to the ghani in the SS and a sativa high coming from the JH side;
Or it could be a fast pheno from the JH line, in the original description they sais it had 4 main phenotypes, one being a 8 weeker. The presence of Jack Herrer genes in the C99 is pretty obvious. I've grown some crosses with JH and different genetics and found many plants who had many traits similar to the C99, a Sour-Jack was looking exactly like a C99 female and had also similar sweet smells, this one was ready in 9/10 weeks;
I can comment on this 1 cause I had Jack Flash, back in the day. Got the seeds from the store and smoked some rips with eagle Jim(?). He said they'd lost the father on the original cross. Don't know what beans I got. 2 stood out, 1 called 'cat-piss' cause it smelled like a litter-box and the other was a quick bitch that made me a lot of money. This was in 2001, before the trade centers thing.
I think Soul and Vic 'assumed' a lot when they said those seeds came from an early JH.

I should have shared that cut. That was the one.

I have a few hundred seeds made with 5 different THH males off her though.
Probably ought to take a gander in there!

The one advantage at running a pure Sativa is that you dont have to veg more than a few nodes to flip. They will take care of the rest. So basically the same total day count as I would get with a shorter flowering period variatel.

@LostTribe I grew 8 from the mint 5 males and 3 females open pollinated them. Used the males on mm/thia78 and Punto rojo x Congo 7 females and on 4 seedsman o. Haze. The females were excellent, I grew out the mm/thia78 x thh with good results too. I think you should definitely dig into them!
I want to start the Punto rojo/congo#7 x thh
Soon.
You are one of the only worthy soul which I have entrusted with those particular genetics and I am happy that you have been making proper use of them. The MM/THia sound intriguing. How did they compare to the parents? Was there any improvement or was there a watering down? Hard with an IBL and an f1 or posibly f2 but feasible. I hold a high regard for Hempy's Thia even when others may not see eye to eye. Heirlooms like these are not easily attained. I was very fortunate to find that particular mom. She was much greater of a pure Sativa expression than the rest of the batch.

I grew 9 female mm/thia78 x Thh and like 6 males of which 3 centrally threw pistils so that was from the mm/thia78. I used the 3 stable males on your c99 peak f6 and froze the pollen.
The females ranged from extreme foxtail braid loose to nice sized thh calyxes and smelled metallic to 1 that had a sweet candied smell with minty Thai smell too. Also had a sour apple smell that was effervescent mixed with minty pine Thai. My favorite was the most Thai smelling and very terpene rich #5.
The thh mint females had extremely large trich heads and great trich density. The mm/thai78 x thh did not. So I like the cross but I liked the thh mint even more.
